Defensive, uncooperative and plain rude in some cases. Not to mention charging excessive amounts for admin fees most agencies wouldn’t come close to. Please avoid especially if you are a tenant.
Unsurprisingly most of their 5 star reviews look fake.

I first met Wayne Farmer in 2006 while on the hunt for my first home in Camden, he walked me through the many hurdles of getting on the property ladder like no average London agent would ever do so we quickly developed a close relationship that has helped me to successfully sell a number of London flats through the years.
His knowledge of the London market as well as his way of juggling the requirements of buyers, sellers, lawyers while skilfully dealing with the overwhelming bureaucracy is simply astonishing.
And he somehow still finds time to constantly update you while "ALWAYS" remaining available via email and phone, even when his patience is tested to the very limit by over demanding guys such as myself.
Most of all though, I've always had this reassuring feeling that Wayne is genuinely looking after his client's best interests and that alone would be enough to strongly recommend his services.
Honestly! I do believe the man deserves some sort of award!

I would not recommend using Stonehouse Estate Agent. They are very dishonest. Estate agents are required by law ensure that they do not mislead consumers in the information given to prospective clients, either verbally, in writing or visually. I viewed a property on Witley Road and was given a leaflet on the property. The property was advertised as a freehold property with no ground rent. I placed an offer on Witley Road for 405,000. After, placing an offer I learnt that the property had a short-lease of 68 years. In addition, I was later informed the property had ground £100 increasing to £400. I clarified with estate if the seller was aware of this - they confirmed this was the case. The law requires estate agents to ensure that the property particulars do not including misleading details and any actions that cause the average consumer to take a transaction decision they would not have taken - I would not have made an offer on this property if had known the truth from the outset. I informed the estate agent the bank would not consider lending on property with a short lease. The estate agent stated that the buyer will increase the least but have asked that I pay a contribution to lease. This is an unfair and rude request as I would paying full market value for property, thus I informed I would not contribute. The estate agent stated that they would relay this information to the seller and then get back to me. The estate did not contact me. I contacted them updated. The estate informed the seller has now chosen another buyer. In summary, the property falsely advertised to rope a buyer in paying to extend a short-lease. Estate agent are aware they are lot allowed to provide false information or giving an overall presentation that deceives or likely to deceive a consumer.

Well done once again to Tony and his experienced and friendly team for dealing with the sale of another one of my properties that I originally purchased through them just over 20 years ago and that they have been managing for me ever since.
The sale could have not gone as smoothly , and the purchasers could have pulled out of the sale yesterday as the stamp duty holiday fast approached but Tony and his team had the know how and the expertise to get the sale over the line by chasing all parties concerned.
I was also kept in the loop at all times .
The property management department have always been very efficient and responsive whenever any of my properties needed attention and the lettings team always make sure that there are never any long void periods between tenancies .

Rude, unhelpful and obtuse. Canceled 25 minutes before the booking, while I was on the tube. To quote (Peter I believe), 'this is the game we are in'...
Seems to be a bunch of fake reviews on here, with only the 1 star reviews reconciling exactly with my experience. The recurring theme being rudeness. I'm not sure why they have to work in this manner, I guess it shows the company culture/hiring strategy.
Stonehouse if you read this and want to write a response don't bother. Won't be working with you and will discourage anyone I know from also. Quoting 'X' years of experience counts for nothing when your team shows a complete lack of respect for potential clients.
First Google review I've ever written. I normally just vote with my feet and avoid writing comments but felt on this occasion Stonehouse needed to be outed.

I had been renting a property managed by Stonehouse Estates for 2 years. They are the best landlord/agent I had in London so far. Being a small company, they have a personal attitude: always responded quickly and were flexible when it came to any alterations. They returned the deposit quickly and in full without nitpicking.

After a stressful flat search myself and a friend contacted Stonehouse about a property. Peter arranged a viewing for us for that afternoon and from that moment onwards the time and care put into our property search was incredible - even with complications with our references, Peter chased these for us to ensure we could move into our property on the day we agreed. Peter really went out of his way to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible and i would absolutely recommend Stonehouse for anybody searching for a property in the area.

I went to Stonehouse after a recommendation from a friend. After searching for the right property in all the estate agents in the Archway area, Stonehouse stuck out, specifically because of our interaction with one Asim Butt. His professionalism was impeccable and understood our needs diligently by acting upon them fast. His portfolio knowledge was incredible, that he managed to source me the perfect property within one sitting. Stonehouse really showed to know their clients on very close terms, that it seems that their trust had been built over years, and it genuinely felt we were being treated like family when being introduced to the landlords. They even welcomed me to join in a Stonehouse Estates social. I would 100% rent with them again, and would recommend them to anybody. I've never seen such efficiency and hospitality in an estate agency before. A very rare occurrence.

There needs to be an element of trust between an absentee landlord and those entrusted to look after the property. Dare I say that has improved of late. It was always good with Stonehouse, but has recently got better. The salient point is that Diana is not only pro-active but never needs to be reminded that the agent is there to provide the best service to the landlord that they reasonably can. To that end, I'm very pleased.

We moved out of our flat in 2002 and kept it to let out. After it had sat empty for 3 months despite my best efforts to find a tenant I handed it over to Stonehouse Estates. In the last 17 years it has been empty for just 1 month.
They have a good network of electricians, plumbers, decorators etc who go in quickly and resolve issues for a fair price. They are decent to the tenants, most of whom have renewed their tenancies at least once and only move if they leaving the area.
I can definitely recommend them to local landlords.

Worst agency we have ever come across. Asim seemed nice initially then became very rude and extremely unprofessional when we made our first offer on a property. After our last one, he completely disappeared and never let us know the outcome. We have been put off so much by his rude behaviour that we decided not to even bother to chase him up. Agencies like this one shouldn't exist, avoid at all cost!

Extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism shown by Kurt in regards to a incident himself and the property manager managed to get me into. After 3 weeks of chasing, we are still yet to receive the money owed to us for an emergency locksmith, the locksmith was called after the agent had incorrectly locked the property with a key they had never provided us with. Now we will be forced to contact the Landlord direct. Once completed we will be forced to contact both the TPO and small claims court to fix the problem their incompetence created - A path we had hoped to avoid.
Points to Note:
We were promised bed frames at the start of our tenancy - We never received them.
We had requested our mail box be fixed in November 2017 - It was finally fixed in July 2018.
Agents entered the property for a viewing without notifying us - this was discovered as they had woken up my roommate whilst doing so.
The new lock is yet to be fitted - Although their case for not reimbursing us is based on them ensuring our safety. If they were that worried, a new lock would have been fitted the following working day.
After all this we still manage to ensure we created the least amount of fuss possible. But to be out of pocket is not something I can allow them to get away with.

WARNING, will always side with the landlord. Tenants WILL get shafted at every occasion. Try and go straight to landlord instead of through them as their service, like so many other agencies just slows down the process and does not offer any kind of protection.

I was with this agent for 6 years untill they started to forget to advertise my property when the tenancy ended, they never called me back kept calling daily and no answer. they left it empty for 2 months had to take my business else where. the new estate agent rented my property in 2 days

I recently enlisted Stonehouse Estates as a managing agent for a property I am letting. From the outset I found the staff I interacted with a pleasure to deal with. My initial meeting was with Kurt Gonzales who I found to be very personable, professional and honest. What I appreciated the most was that Kurt was not pushy at all, unlike some other (horrible) estate agents I had dealt with. He left me to make my own decision, but at the same time was there to work with me and answer any questions. I also have found Liz to be very nice to deal with and she has always been responsive to my emails/calls. For me, Stonehouse Estates are in a different league to other estate agents I have dealt with - friendly professional and not pushy. I would highly recommend them.

My partner and I viewed the property we wanted seperately with Kurt Gonzalez at Stonehouse estates. He was helpful and flexible with the meeting times as I needed to meet after the closing time.
