Kudos to the very busy Dexters team at the Dartmouth Park office. I was lucky enough to have them on my side in a complex property chain and found them good, especially Ronnie, our sale lead, Billy and Harry who have all been instrumental to our successful sale and very professional, diligent and helpful throughout. They are understaffed for the amount of work they handle and sometimes impossible to reach, hence the 4 stars: service could be even better if they addressed this only issue.

Fale ads, un-truthful agents.
I recently purchased a house from dexter with a very bad experience. The ads mentioned there is a resident parking and with no service charge since it's share of freehold, and only when it proceeded to local research then we realised it's the opposite case.
In summary, don't trust agent and ads that much, do your homework thats the only thing to protect yourself from scams.

I dealt with this Branch when looking to buy a flat. They staffed a very junior sales person, and when the deal dragged for months, Dexters's Agent and Branch Managers went completely silent by phone and email, and the purchase fell through. In the meantime the rates went up. The seller eventually sold for 5% less, and I bought elsewhere through another agency. This left me with a pretty bad impression on Dexters overall, although it was probably just this branch to blame.

We recently viewed and made an offer on a property with Billy from Dexter’s Dartmouth Park. While we had to withdraw our offer, Billy was great from start to finish. He was at the property promptly, with all information about the flat, and actively showed us the pros and cons of the flats- a level of engagement and knowledge that can be rare in London Estate Agents! Further, the property we saw was easily one of the nicest and best laid out properties in the area, and priced very competitively for the space. The owners were in and they were beyond lovely and helpful as well. Through the entire process, Billy was helpful, knowledgeable, and understanding, even if we were unable to proceed on the sale. On top of that, the property was stunning! While we aren’t proceeding with them at this time, Dexter’s Dartmouth Park’s quality of property and agents restored our faith in london agencies and properties- a feat we didn’t think possible!

When the going got tough (in the middle of a short but tricky chain purchase) they went more or less silent causing us a lot of stress, and leaving the deal floundering.
When I fed this back to their office (after they requested a 5 star rating!) they apologised profusely. Obviously, not really. Crickets. So unprofessional. If you're looking to sell in KT/Tufnell Park get in touch with agent Paul Rae at Buchanan Rae Wilson who filled the gap and saved the day (and the sale).

For a high agent fee (1.9%), the viewings were disruptive to my tenant (agents letting themselves in during times when my tenant had said he had meetings), damage was caused during viewings which was never properly rectified and I was given ongoing false promises about exchange and completion dates which was exceedingly frustrating.

I recently used Dexters Dartmouth park to sell my property. I have used Dexters for sales and lettings in the past with great results so they seemed the obvious first port of call.
Branch manager Charlie Cockcroft personally came round to look at the property and have a chat. We had a really productive and candid conversation; his positivity and knowledge were impressive without being pushy or exaggerating (often the case in London).
Within days, all sales agents had seen the property, floorplan/photos were done, and viewings were underway. In under 2 weeks, offers were in and the sale is now well underway.
I would like to single out sales agent Jake Bobroff for special mention. He led the charge with great energy and tenacity. His attention to detail and attentiveness combined with great communication skills I feel got the sale over the line. He has been brilliant.
I would recommend Dexters Dartmouth Park strongly to anyone.

Not a great experience selling my property unfortunately, especially as we decided to choose a ‘quality’ estate agent and pay a higher percent for the privilege. I had to chase continually for feedback, even after second viewings has occurred. Their original valuation was over inflated to win the business so that once on the market they were asking to slash the price. I ended up giving Dexters notice on their contract due to the poor experience I received and the same week they managed to find a buyer! Rented a property through Dexters Tufnell Park.
Was shown a three storey property by Sarah Marks, signed a contract but on moving in, it transpired that the landlord did not want us to use the top floor of the house and had locked three rooms. He had also not cleaned the entire property as obligated to by the contract. Sarah failed to ensure the property was presented to us as it was obligated to have been by the contract.
We tried to renegotiate the contract to accommodate locked rooms and uncleanliness but experienced unresponsiveness and uselessness from Dexters. Jim Fryer proved particularly unhelpful, he obviously didn't care once we had moved in.
Note on reviews: Sarah asked us to leave a positive review after we signed the contract. Be wary of the reams of positive reviews of Dexters, I suspect that they are partly encouraged by Dexters themselves.

Most of them are really good, but the team at the Dartmouth Park Dexters branch is truly exceptional. The main difference between them and some other estate agents is that they employ only experienced professionals, who not only know how to sell properties, but also really care about making the whole process a pleasant experience for everyone involved. They are very friendly, responsive and always put quality over quantity, which in my opinion makes them a great choice for those who wish to make the process of buying or selling property relatively stress free. I've just exchanged contracts on a flat marketed by Dexters.
Nick Milios from Dexters, as the seller's agent, was instrumental in getting this over the line.
This was a difficult purchase, riddled with multiple issues, from asbestos to lease issues.
It is only fair to say that if it wasn't for Nick, we would have probably pulled out of the process.
He managed to keep all parties talking and managed to find solutions to all problems.

I have recently sold my flat in Tufnell Park and bought a house in Dartmouth Park.
Both buying and selling was done through Dexter’s in Dartmouth Park.
It was the easiest and least stressful move by far I have ever experienced in my not so short life.

Renting a property needn’t be a nightmare.
Any parent who has ever been involved with their children securing rental accommodation in London will not have good memories of the experience. Ours has been of dishonest and grasping landlords in cahoots with a small, local estate agent, who organises viewings by a group so that a sense of urgency is created. The ‘furnished’ property never includes the bedrooms, so that an extra tenant can be squeezed into that room that is legally too small. That extra tenant never signs the contract, which is also sent out late on a Friday afternoon, demanding instant action to secure the property before it’s offered to someone else. Then there’s the deposit which never seems to be lodged with an independent body. You will all have your own horror stories. Which is why we found dealing with the helpful, friendly and above all professional team at Dexter’s, Tufnell Park was a treat. This what Estate Agents are meant to be like. We cannot thank Dexter’s enough for restoring our sanity and even our faith in Estate Agents (well, any as good as Dexter’s) and in those whose properties they accept for rent. Particular thanks go to Jim Fryer, who saw everything through for us.

After searching for a few weeks for a flat we visited Dexters Tufnell Park office having had very good experiences with other Dexters agents. Sarah took our initial enquiry, she was friendly, professional & efficient. She is a credit to her profession.
She helped us find the perfect flat & worked really hard to secure it for us. We moved in very quickly, within a week. Sarah helped chase the referencing process for us, handled our queries & feedback on the processes really well. Sarah also followed up after moving in to check all was okay which demonstrated a genuine care often lacking in sales people.
I'd highly recommend Dexters as it's clear they are working very hard to be a cut above their competition. It's refreshing to experience an estate agent company who seem to care equally about their staff & clients.

This was largely due to her help with the solicitors when they were being slow, especially when the sellers solicitors were taking a while to provide the information our solicitors wanted. I was very keen to buy a flat near my former home and viewed it several times with Joe Standen. He was always there on time, patient and answered all my questions. He also kept me informed on what was happening with the property. Sadly, I did not manage to conclude the sale of my own property and so was unable to go ahead with the purchase of the flat I was interested in and am staying put for the moment but I would definitely search Joe out again and use him again when the time comes to put my house on the market.

Terrible experience as prospective tenants. They took a holding deposit and promised us they would take the property off the market while continuing to aggressively market it. The letting team told several outright lies to us and painted a totally misleading picture. When we complained to Jim Fryer, the lettings manager, he simply attempted to justify their behaviour. Had a negative impact on our flat hunt because we lost the flat and lost 10 days while they had our deposit.

Having written the above review, I made a formal complaint to Dexters. To their credit, a director of the business made a full and detailed investigation and acknowledged that they were in the wrong and should have communicated with us much better. From his explanation of what went on, it seems to have been more a case of incompetence than exploitation. At least they are willing to listen to customer feedback.

I recently rented a property through dexters. The company made it very easy for us, with flexible viewing times and showing us multiple options. Our offer was sorted in a matter of days and we were able to move in within a couple of weeks. Living out of the area all the paperwork could be completed online so it made it very easy for us to sort our rental property out without too many unnecessary trips to London for paperwork. The agency fees seem to be the same as other agencies.
