Tom has been an absolute star with helping us move into our first rented property! We saw an advert online and messaged Tom at around 9:30am, by 4pm we had virtually and physically viewed the flat, as well as putting the holding deposit down! Tom has been amazing to deal with and very down to earth, also exceptionally efficient when it comes to responding to emails & WhatsApp messages and any issues we’ve faced have been dealt with fairly quickly either by Tom or another member of his team! Can’t fault them so far!!!

Tom Smith telephoned me several times in my search for a suitable Flat. Communication was set up on WhatsApp and worked really well. The electronic system was fairly complex but Tom helped us through that as well. Finally when we picked up the keys from Melanie in the office she was very helpful and went out of her way to answer other questions for us too. I came across Sure Sales and lettings early last month on the net during one of my search for a place to rent. I met one of their team members called Tom on the day of viewing the property which i showed interest in. He was very friendly, polite and professional which made me felt comfortable and at a point i was confident in getting the apartment. Their response system during the process was excellent and processing was supper good with no difficulty. To my surprise the place was already painted with wooden blinds in place. I was new in the UK and trying to find accommodation was a nightmare for me as I was calling and requesting call backs from adverts and most agents never called me back. When I came across a sure lettings ad I asked to be called back and a guy named Tom called me within a day and set up a viewing arrangement that best suited my time as I was busy with work. I am their new tenant now and I have never been this happy my place is clean and it was painted, I wouldn't ask for more.

They have a tendency of checking you in with a different agent and check out will be done with someone else who will deliberately and conveniently overlook the initial check in report just to push their luck in trying to steal your deposit. There is this blonde lady named Sarah Fisher who is so unprofessional and clueless about everything, she hasn't a clue about how inventories work yet she will still try to sit on people's hard earned deposits, be warned that she tends to write a lot of lies on the checkout inventory, and will try to sit on your deposit without any grounds whatsoever. Worked with her at 29 michaelmas court, GL1 area. Avoid her like the plague and if they force allocate her to you, be extra cautious with her. Oh, and she will also try to get you to review her early just before she can send you that miserable excuse of a check out report and pretend it is up to the landlord to decide how much to steal from you but make no mistake, she is the ochestrator of all this, this is how she makes a living by robbing people of their deposits! Sarah Fisher is worse than ruthless!!

Just a few days ago, I had written and posted a glowing review about how my wife and I liked this agency's services. However, after a recent development where they tried to seize our deposit via a hyperbolic checkout inspection report, we find ourselves having to reassess our entire experience. In retrospect, Sure Lettings have demonstrated a clear, unscrupulous pattern of behaviour that only now begins to make sense.
Let me share with you the infuriating details of my encounter with this letting agency, particularly focusing on their staff member, Sarah Fisher, who proved to be a master of deception. Even after we had told her about the reason for our departure: to nurse our ailing grandmama who has unfortunately been put on end of life care, she and her agency still felt the urge to shamelessly skedaddle with our hard earned money that we had already reserved for grandmama's palliative care expenses!
Initially, Sure Lettings appeared to be a reputable agency, showing great enthusiasm and friendliness during the viewing and application process. However, towards the end, it became abundantly clear that their geniality was nothing more than a charade to lure unsuspecting tenants into their trap.
Near the end of our tenancy, we spent days meticulously deep cleaning the property, ensuring that it was in pristine condition. Little did we know that our efforts would be in vain, as Sure Lettings had already set their sights on our deposit. As the tenancy came to an end, we were subjected to a checkout inspection that can only be described as a grotesque display of hyperbole.
The inspection report they provided was a work of fiction, designed solely to extort as much money from us as possible. Every pre- existing minor flaw or imperfection was magnified to absurd proportions, to say nothing of the fact that their inventory at the beginning of the tenancy had no evidence to back up whatever they claimed in their checkout inspection. It was evident that Sure Lettings was determined to withhold our deposit by any means necessary, and they were shamelessly willing to deceive and manipulate the truth to achieve their goal.
Sarah Fisher, in particular, deserves special mention for her despicable conduct. She displayed a shocking lack of integrity by fabricating lies about the condition of the property. It was as if she relished the opportunity to exploit unsuspecting tenants for her own personal gain. Her blatant disregard for honesty and professionalism left us appalled and deeply disappointed.
Sure Lettings' behavior throughout this ordeal was utterly unscrupulous and unbecoming of a reputable letting agency. Their actions demonstrate a complete lack of respect for tenants and a blatant disregard for ethical business practices. It is deeply disheartening to see a company stoop so low and betray the trust of those who rely on them for fair treatment.
To anyone considering renting through Sure Lettings in Gloucester, I implore you to proceed with caution. Their seemingly pleasant demeanor is nothing but a ploy to exploit unsuspecting tenants. Should you decide to enter into a tenancy agreement with them, prepare yourself for a distressing and unjust experience, with Sarah Fisher at the forefront of their deceitful tactics.
Sure Lettings in Gloucester is an unprofessional and dishonest letting agency that preys on tenants' hard-earned money. Their attempt to forcibly take my deposit through a hyperbolic checkout inspection report, accompanied by the deceptive actions of Sarah Fisher, left us feeling violated and betrayed. From the other reviews under this business knowledge panel, it is clear that we're not the only ones to have been bamboozled into this trap. Steer clear of this agency if you value your peace of mind and financial security.

The team at surelet come across is very helpful to begin with. Just before I moved out they increased the rent by 26% and when I ask them why they blamed the landlord. Having cleaned the place from top to bottom. I was very disappointed to be given a charge when they did their inspection of the property.They charged me £250 for a cleaning bill. They also continued to take money for my account after my settlement date was over and took a week to respond and replace my funds to my bank account.
Sarah Fisher is at best useless and will blame everybody else for her adequacies, she will go around with a fine tooth comb trying to find fault and charge the tenants in order to make more money for the landlord.
The property was rundown cold and dirty when I took it over.
Please not waste your money with this organisation as they are at best unprofessional uncaring and then sympathetic.

We have been looking for a house for a while, for a long time actually, we’ve been denied by other agencies even without giving any information, spended every day looking at houses online and calling agencies, booking viewings for it to be cancelled after by the agencies.
Until I called Sure Lettings, agent Tom answered, all i can say is that he is a great person, helped me with everything, he really cared about us, making sure that the house will be ours, he really understood me, understood my need of the house, expecially because it’s so close to work, the house is amazing, i fell in love with it without even viewing it in person, i can really say that Tom is so professional, he was keeping me updated with everything everytime, you can really tell that he cares about his costumers, forever being grateful to him.

This review is well overdue. Tom and the team at Sure lettings were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I was new to the area and finding the competitive nature of housing in Stroud quite stressful. Some other agents were trying to get me to sign up to lengthy contracts or putting pressure on me to rush into decisions. Tom was honest and open from the start, and was happy to go back to the landlords with my questions rather than trying to scare me into signing up. I rented a flat from Sure Gloucester for 18 months. They were very helpful in sorting the rental contract, repairs were dealt within 48 hours, and their staff are pleasant and professional to deal with.
They do check in on rental properties every 4 months, which is more than you may be used to with a private landlord and my rent increased after 18 months, which is the landlord's prerogative.
I gave notice on the tenancy as I moved out of the area, and leaving was smooth - viewings sorted out in one day, deposit returned in a timely fashion and helpful with outstanding issues.
As a tenant, they offer good customer services and solved any issues I had quickly. Would rent from them again.

Would avoid, very painful to agency at the beginning going through 'good lord' or whatever, so much extra stuff needed when it was not necessary. Throughout tenancy they have been delayed with help, only answering problems a couple days a week with then the problems getting sorted weeks after or if there was mould to just open a window. WOULD AVOID

I called to ask about one of their listed properties, when I asked about said property they told me the landlord doesn't accept children. Your advertisment online doesn't say say so because it will get removed because it is discriminatory.
You are implicitly promoting discrimination by listing that property and when confronted I was told they will tell the landlord.
They did not even follow up and offer something else or ask if I'd be interested in any other properties.

Jemma of Sure, assured me this wouldn’t be the case if I placed my trust in them and she want wrong.

Ive been renting out my property with Sure Let for the past 3 months without any issues. From the moment i engaged with Sure Let i have been made to feel like a valued customer. This my was first time renting out my house and Tom was an absolute professional. He took the time to sit down with me and explain the whole process and fully answered my questions, concerns and queries at the time and also afterwards via email. As i was moving abroad i needed to have trust in a letting agent that my house would be looked after as i wouldn't be around to check on it and after meeting with Tom i fully felt i could trust them with my property. I didnt get that feeling with several other letting agents i contacted. The communication from Sure Let has been brilliant and i couldnt have asked for more. I would (and have done) recommend SureLet to other people

In around 8 years of renting, I have never met such an unprofessional group of people, incapable of basics communications, or providing even the most basic level of services.
I'll start with the positive.
And now onto the negative. At the outset of the tenancy, the agency did not disclose that the tenancy was only available for less than one year, even though the landlord had a date in mind for taking the property back (for school purposes). This would have meant we would not have taken the property, as the cost of moving, as well as the hassle, would have put us off.
Then, at the end of the initial 6 month tenancy, the natural course of action was to move onto a periodic tenancy for the remaining 4 months that it was available for. Disgustingly, there was a charge associated with that move of £180. My eyes nearly popped out of my head. Following consultation with the Financial Ombudsmen, they clarified that it is flirting with illegality, and certainly unethical, to charge anything for moving to a periodic tenancy, as it automatically happens. There is no admin to be done!
In addition, upon leaving the property, it has taken us in excess of 6 weeks to get feedback on the exit inventory check. And upon getting the itemised inventory check, we were asked to pay over 50% of our deposit.
The main reasons? Despite providing receipts for professional carpet cleaning and de-fleaing, Surelet were not convinced our receipts were legitimate (yes, yes, they called us frauds!).
Just to add in some flavour, we were also deducted for certain things that were not even on the inventory. For example, the requirement to clean items that were not even itemised.
Lastly, and most infuriatingly, when we entered the property, the place was a mess. We raised a number of issues, including the state of the curtains. Despite this, at the end of the tenancy, we were accused of not treating the curtains well, and asked to pay for the curtains to be cleaned. Again, we had had them cleaned in any event, but were asked to pay for these to be additionally cleaned.
If I could rate their service as 0 stars I would, but since I can't, I will purely state this. If you are a tenant trying to find a decent rental property, don't use these guys. They have no interest in looking out for anybody but the landlord, and repeating what I was told over the phone from Surelet's completely inept agent, Gwen, "our service is to our landlords, not the tenants".

If i could give 0 stars i would! Had to chase for things to be done always got told we should hear by end of day every single time this company makes my blood boil! Incovenient inspections i understand the landlord or lady wants the property to be in good shape but after the 5th inspection and every single one saying its the best condition they have seen the house in why on earth do they have to continue to inspect so often?!!!!

From a landlords perspective I have found them easy, friendly and straight forward to deal with. If tenants have had a problem Steph has always alerted me swiftly and helped arrange tradesmen if needed. Emails always get answered quickly and when tenants notified them of moving out they immediately arranged viewing and had new tenants lined up quicker than I thought was possible.

We needed to let out our family home for two years as my husband's job took us to the USA. I spoke with "Sarah" at Surelet who came out that very day to look at the property and to advise us on how to proceed. She came back the following day with a family to view the house and the contracts were signed. We couldn't believe the speed and efficiency of the whole process!
Surelet kept in regular contact with us, visited our property and wrote reports on it. They dealt with any issues that arose and liaised with our tenants fairly.
When we were due to return home they made the process as smooth as possible, ensuring that the house had been cleaned and aired and was ready for us to come back to.
I highly recommend paying for their management service, as we were spared the trouble of organising repairs or sourcing tradespeople, particularly with an 8 hour time difference. Everything was sorted out for us and Sarah gave us real peace of mind.
Should we have to relocate again, I will give Sarah a ring at Surelet!

My first experience of letting agents so I don't have a great deal to compare with. On the positive, the service is always efficient and polite. I am always paid on time and the inspections carried out seem to be thorough - if not exactly to my standards. (After one client left, the inspection was deemed as 'good' but my family and I had to 'gut' the house before allowing it to be let again - it was filthy and I changed the carpets and had it painted throughout!). On the negative side, I often have to chase up to get any answers (am an absentee landlord living a good 3 hours from the property) and I have experienced some issues due to important post not being directed to me within a timely manner - something that could have been picked up at an inspection and would have saved me a lot of expense and hassle! Overall, it's okay - better standards of inspection and a bit more communication would move it to a good service.
