Dreadful renting through them, faulty appliances provided by them refused to be replaced, multiple issues in regards to both water and space heating that refused to be replaced, which is illegal, repeatedly ignored phone calls to chase issues, refused to provide legal paperwork when requested. Glad to be away from them, record all conversations with them and keep copies of all emails incase you need to take legal action, which I'm consulting a legal firm to do so.

[Edit] on top of this, the power supplier were provided incorrect meter readings by Farr and Farr so I've been hit with a £274 bill for a property I haven't lived in for three months... Read more

All I can say is, if you are thinking of letting a property do not go with Farr and Farr on Oxtalls Way! Communication and customer service is non existent. I have just ended my fully managed agreement after 6 months of problem after problem. There are things that could have been resolved easily but because of the way they handle everything and the delays in responding I found myself getting more and more frustrated with them. I am not sure if they need retraining in customer service skills or better management to make the office more efficient. They are fine with straight forward tasks such as collecting the rent payment, issuing monthly invoices and paying the money but when it comes to answering questions and rectifying issues with the property they ignore emails and have no clue on how best to deal with problems.... Now we have left our flat we can finally say the truth!
The reason for the previous 5 star review was because they wouldn't stop harassing us to give us 5 stars so most of the reviews on here probably aren't genuine.
They charge tentants for waste removal when it should be the letting agents responsibility to sort that out, instead they take money from tenants, say it won't happen again and then they do it all again.
They also won't give back the deposit at all currently because of cleaning charges when actually according to the Tenants Act 2019 , the cleaning isn't the Tenants responsibility but the letting agents when a tenant moves out so technically they can't charge you for it at all.
I strongly suggest to new tenants to read the Tenants Act 2019 before moving into rented accommodation.
I personally wouldn't recommend Farr and Farr Letting Agents.... Read more

As a contractor, the lettings department at Farr & Farr are very easy to deal with. They will organise appointments with the tenants for me, if I am short of time, or arrange the keys to the properties for me to collect and have even on some occasions delivered them out to me when I have been on other jobs. Between all parties we have good communication which allows the jobs to get completed in a swiftly manner. Wouldn’t recommend renting through Farr&Farr Lettings and personally won’t be again.
From the moment I viewed the property right up to a week after handing my keys back after 6 months tenancy and problems still ongoing.
Advertising the property with photos that aren’t even the same property, lying to me on the viewing about parking which I needed due to company car insurance policies, handing keys over for a property that quite frankly was not clean or ready to be handed over (admittedly, I took the flat earlier than originally agreed but the flat was empty when I viewed it a week or so prior so there was plenty of time to paint walls, fill holes, replace a smashed window, fix broken blinds, repair broken appliances, etc.), when making issues aware to the office I was told some issues were “too expensive to fix”, isn’t this what deposits from previous tenants are for? Contractors not clearing mess up properly where I stood on smashed glass bare foot and was hoovering glass still 6 months later.
I made a leak under the kitchen sink aware on two occasions and not once did I hear anything back.
Wouldn’t even get me started on the cleanliness of the building considering the whole block is rented out by them.
The car parking issues was a joke and the company couldn’t even enforce tenants to lock a gate after I was physically attacked by a man who was asleep against my vehicle in the properties car park. I went to the office to make them aware of what happened and all the had to say was “would you like to hand your notice in?”. What kind of response is this?
On two occasions did they agree to come and view the flat (3 monthly inspection and end of tenant inspection) and had no shows. Once I queried the end of tenant inspection I was told “why would we inspect the flat when you’re still in there?” Well, why would you agree a date to do so then?
Almost a week after handing my keys back I have had no contact regarding an inspection and getting my deposit back. I chased this up today and was told “we inspected it yesterday and you will hear from us later today”. It’s now 2 hours after closing of the office and again, no contact.... Read more

Josh Freke (lettings) gave me a huge amount of support & help when the council erroneously charged me a huge council tax fee when the council themselves were at fault.
Josh was incredibly diligent, helpful, professional, he kept me in the loop & solved the issue after some push back by the council.
