Where to start? Having no end of issues with our boiler for the past 13 months which meant at times we was without hot water for several weeks! To the constant we will get back to you to hearing absolutely nothing, to denying all knowledge about the issues that we have raised. When we did get somewhere they said parts were ordered so we contacted the engineers to which we were told they refused to pay for the parts so right back to square one! Environmental health is being contacted in due course to resolve this matter , it's so wrong with how much rent we pay to be fobbed off with excuse after excuse. Another blatant lie this issue was reported in January 2021 as when speaking to DA gas company they told me they didn't order the parts back then as they were refused by yourselves so someone is lying, and it's clearly not us. Trading standards and housing ombudsman as been contacted... Read more

Highly recommended – we consider the commission we paid to The Personal Property Shop money well spent! As we had a fairly unique property to sell, we initially tried a supposedly “top-end” traditional estate agent but the results were very disappointing – they just wanted to sit back and do nothing and after 5 months we had got nowhere. When we moved to the Personal Property Shop it was so easy to see and feel how different their approach is. Angela and her team are a far cry from estate agents who think all they need to do is add a fuzzy photo or two to the internet shop window and then leave everything down to you. They really understand how to get the best out of on-line marketing – including the need for great photos and punchy information. Better, they kept their promise of at least weekly updates throughout the whole process, so we felt confident we knew where we stood, taking lots of the stress out of the process. Months of hardly any viewings and no acceptable offers from a traditional high street agent. My decision to use the Personal Property Shop to sell my home was one of my better choices in life. I had 4 estate agents view my home and given the opportunity to pitch their plans for selling the old homestead. 3 of them were merely selling units and I got the impression that they were only looking out for their own interests and not mine, just get the commission in and I’m all right Jack attitude and in one case they wanted to sell £30,000 below what I eventually got. There was one exception though and that was Angela and the girls at the Personal Property Shop. Angela spoke about Selling a home not a unit, about House Staging and professional photography to maximise the return on my home and Angela’s valuation was £10k higher than the closest competitor. And boy was she right, her crew were sent to visit me to get a feel for the home they were going to sell and a professional house stager surveyed the place and came up with a plan to enhance the appeal of the property to prospective buyers, a few hours of rearranging and £10 for flowers and the place was transformed. As for the photography it was absolutely stunning and the brochure they produced was more than I could have dreamed of. They also mounted a plastic waterproof box on the for sale sign and filled it with brochures of my home so that any passers by could just help themselves. The net result was that the house sold in 5 days and at the asking price. So to anyone thinking of selling their home just talk to Angela and the girls and I promise u that you will be impressed as much as I was and if your still not sure get Angela to give you my number and I’ll convince u. The house had been for sale with one agent for circa 4 months, with little interest shown, then another agent for 5 months, also with little interest. They suggested a little rest from the market and took photographs that showed the house in a better light, they also rotated the photographs that appear on Right Move to keep it fresh. Firstly the marketing was excellent, with professional photographs and clear, positive, no nonsense descriptions, quickly uploaded onto Rightmove and Zoopla. They planned and executed the open day and got our house sold at a price we were very happy to achieve. They also recommended an excellent and efficient solicitor. We are now selling another house with this company in a totally different area as we are less than impressed with the local agencies. We are achieving plenty of viewings and are really pleased with progress so far. There are plenty of estate agents who could do with taking a leaf out of their book - the service in this industry is deservedly perceived as lacklustre. We had our property on the market for a while with another property agent but felt we weren't really getting anywhere with them. Virtually no viewings, people that did view weren't really sold the benefits of the property by the agent and we only really got any action from the agent when we chased them up. Then things would go cold again until we chased again. We switched to The Personal Property Shop following a direct approach from them. At our initial meeting we felt Angela and the team were passionate and energetic about their business and we felt they would work with us together to really try and sell the property - almost like a joint project where we were both equally involved. We were impressed with the way the photo shoot, property assessment etc were conducted and the pictures they produced were first class - a big improvement on the previous agent's efforts. But, most importantly, they started to get people to view the property - and they did a good job at selling to prospective buyers, almost all of whom really liked the place although, for one reason or another, didn't end up proceeding to purchase. After about 3 months, we had had about 8 or 9 viewings and a buyer was found. Throughout the process, The Personal Property Shop kept us informed of all developments and we appreciated their collaborative approach. And, unlike the previous agent, they gave no excuses about the time of the year, holidays and so on - just good ideas on how to get more viewings when things quietened down a bit. In the end, the sale was made smoothly, the team helped us all the way through the process and the fee we agreed was very competitive - much less than the fee we would have had to pay to our previous agent.
