From start to finish I was impressed with how Rupert and the team at Workplace took the time to really understand our needs and keep trying to find the perfect space for us. Their constant chasing of all parties throughout the contracting process made a very stressful time in lockdown a lot easier. And their negotiations skills were excellent, saving us thousands. Contrary to the other reviews here, our company Pelham Communications did not have a great experience with The Workplace Company. They are good initially at finding office spaces to view and organising viewings to your specification. The staff are also very personable in this department. Our experience falls apart when it came down to negotiating offers, and their negotiating skills. Perhaps we got unlucky but encountered the following problems: 1. The incorrect offer was put forward to the landlord/estate agents on more than one occasion. 2. We often had no response from offers which we were told was due to the landlord repeatedly changing the estate agents they were working with - this is not our problem I suggested they go directly to the landlord... 3. After months of getting nowhere, we decided to go directly to the landlord and managed to get the rent down by £15 psf and a free car parking space both of which The Workplace Company said would be impossible. We shouldn't be better at negotiation than a company who who is a specialist in it, nor should we have to pay for that service if it didn't amount to anything... 4. To rub salt in the wounds we were then invoiced for their services for the un-negotiated rental rates, and expected us to pay the full amount regardless of the fact their figures were not based on the correct rental amount, nor did they do any of the negotiating...... The Workplace Co helped us find the perfect office in London. Our agent Nick and the team behind him showed us some great offices that all fit our brief. After ultimately deciding on a space, they sorted out our fibre internet through Workplace Connect (which saved us a lot of time and money) and helped us negotiate favourable terms on our lease. We never had any issues getting in touch with anyone and all our questions were answered quickly, if not immediately.
