I have been their tenant for four years, during which I have seen a systematic agenda to lie, cheat, deceive, and extort. From the beginning with their adverts, where they say the property is newly renovated, except maybe this was true 10 years ago, to the end with the deposit, it's all lies, bullshit, and theater. They present it as legitimate through bureaucracy, procedures, and landlords. The landlord has hired them to do all the work that they keep saying they are always going to the landlord for. Always pushing for renewal of contracts with higher price, even when your contract is neither close to ending, nor you need a new contract. Always trying to lull you into agreeing, saying everything is ok, it's just standard practice, no need to worry.
I was hoping it will all end when I move out, but I was very badly wrong. I'm fighting to get my deposit back. I moved out at the end of June, and from the way they were setting things up, and how things started to go, I started to get a very bad feeling. They have been scheming again in order to take nearly all of my deposit. After waiting 26 days, they came up with a fabricated set of charges, based absolutely on no grounds. Similarly with my other three housemates. I knew they will try to take some money, so I made sure there is nothing that they can hang on to, but they have exceeded all my expectations. They came up with a very large amount on made-up claims. They have provided no evidence of difference between the condition before and after, which would warrant the claim, because it does not exist. Almost all claims are false or not resulting from my tenancy, and if there is anything true, it should fall within fair wear and tear.
I also made sure I am present at the final check out and handing over of the property, in order to discuss any issues they might want to raise. But they wanted me to stay outside the house. At the end they said everything looks ok. When I asked for confirmation of return of my deposit, they said the office will decide. A stark contrast from my previous move-outs, where someone comes, I give keys, they check, everything looks good, I get my deposit in few days.
What is even more insulting, brazen, and absurd, is that they know that I have taken good care of the property. Throughout my tenancy I have even repaired things at my expense, because they would refuse to cover even the materials. I have left the property in better condition, than how I have received it. Getting into the details of each claim would be too lengthy, but as an example, they know that I'm the only person who have been cleaning the walkway, and maintaining the garden, and of course I left it in a good condition, yet they want to charge me for it.
I have explained to them how every claim is baseless, and I can support almost everything with evidence, and have asked for the full return of my deposit. They are ignoring all of my arguments, and ask me to make them an offer for how much is acceptable for me to pay. I wish I had taken evidence of absolutely everything, but I just didn't expect that they would blatantly lie.
They grossly abuse their unfair advantage in any way they can. Tenants agree to anything because of fear of retaliation. They don't want to risk having to move out, and they would not even submit a negative review on the internet, because they depend on them for references. Because I suspected this will happen, I asked a previous housemate what happened when he moved out. They charged him £150 for cleaning the floor, even though he cleaned and mopped it. No checks and balances provided. Later they fabricated them. He said he argued, but eventually he gave up, because it wasn't worth the stress they put him through. And I can say as well, what they put people through, and fighting them is very stressful, emotionally taxing and time consuming. These are heartless crooks who should not be allowed anywhere near conducting business in the UK.

I got my deposit back. Hold on to your ground and don't submit to the demands and extortions of these crooks.

I would just like to say if you are thinking of looking for a company to handle your property needs look no further than Whites of Bournemouth.
I was recommended them myself by another landlord and have been using there services for a number of years now.
I can't speak highly enough of the service I have experienced from day one.
A personal touch from Lee initially whenever I have needed and the day to day contact with Maddy who must be the most efficient individual I have come across. Nothing is to much trouble for either of them but Lee you have a real gem in your team!
She always deals with any query efficiently and effectively and never leaves you feeling that you are unsure of if it 'is going to be done?' which is a rare thing nowdays I have found!

I’ve been renting a property for a while now and it’s been top notch service couldn’t be any happier.
Especially tonight when I came home from work to find I’ve locked myself out and the keys are inside, Maddy and jack couldn't of dealt with it any better. I was very upset to find they were closed and would have to pay a fortune for a lock smith but luckily there was a emergency out of hours number which I got through to straight away ON A FRIDAY AT 6pm, jack rung Maddy and arranged for me to collect my keys at the office. honestly I’m so grateful and couldn’t thank them enough for sorting me out so short notice

Would just like to say what great down to earth ,accommodating and all round professional outfit whites of Bournemouth are.They looked after us (particularly Maddy)for 4years and never failed to answer any problem or query we had during our tenancy and I always got the impression they were working on our behalf unlike a lot a letting agencies who smile falsely at you then throw you out like dirty bath water .Even the owner himself took time to notify me of certain situations that arose .I couldn’t recommend them too strongly to anyone looking to rent in Bournemouth or are looking for someone to manage a house they may be thinking of renting out.

I am with Whites of Bournemouth for many years now.
I can not say enough how happy I am with them.
Maddy and Lee are very supportive, understanding and professional, all the staff in the office, all the support staff (maintenance, gas engineer) are also very professional and friendly.
Any maitenence issues are solved very fast. All the safety regulations are followed by them and checked regularly, which is very important to me.
Excellent communication between us. Maddy and Lee will always respond to my emails or phone calls even outside the office hours (I really don't expect them to do so) assisting with advice straight away.
I am very grateful for everything they are doing for me. They will always go extra mile to show that, this is a partnership between us even though I am only a tenant.

I do not trust this company. When my daughter moved into her flat she was told by the previous tenant that whites took money from them to make repairs. The repairs were not made. Then when my daughter moved out they tried to double charge her for the tenancy change. She was very ill at the time (which they knew) so I was not best pleased.
Since then she has been harangued by email to take this review down. It's an honest review Whites. Learn from it.

Whites have been honestly been amazing.
After experiencing some very difficult times financially, Whites were compassionate and understanding. They communicated our position delicately with the landlord and resolved as much of our worries as possible.
This to me is completely unheard of as I have had very poor experiences in the past with other local letting agents / property managers.
I will definitely look to use them again and would recommend to anyone.
Only one week after having moved out, and they have already confirmed how much and when the deposit will be returned to us

Having rented a flat from Whites of Bournemouth I can say that it was a pleasurable stay with no hassle from the landlord or agency.
They are really good at responding to property issues and getting it fixed.
Lastly I can say the process on receiving my deposit back went smoothly with no hassle.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking fort a property to rent.

I rented a student property through Whites for two years and I could not recommend them more! Student landlords and lettings agencies, in particular, tend to attract a negative reputation and so it was a relief to deal with a professional, friendly and most importantly an extremely fair company.
