Geering & Colyer Estate Agents have 7 branches and they mainly list properties in TN24, CT16, ME13, CT20, CT16, ME14 and TN28. Over the last 6 months, they've listed 202 properties, with an average time to sale of 19 weeks.
We have been dealing with Tom Hughes at the branch for a few months now. I literally cannot big him up enough. I am from a low-middle income family with a 95% mortgage. He has managed to get my home revalued, reduce my mortgage term by 4 years and save me £100 per month on my mortgage. He is literally a wizard.
My little family doesn't have much money in the grand scheme of things and we work very hard for what we have. The saving this offer will make for us, with the reduced term, gives us so much opportunity.
He has also managed to get us life insurance at an amazing rate, despite some difficult medical issues. He is always honest with his reccomendations, not to mention super friendly and always happy to help.
Tom- thank you for your hard work. My family are so grateful and we will be using you year on year!
Me and my partner would absolutely recommend the guys in geering & colyer they have all been a great help, especially Thomas Hughes with everything he's done for us, could not fault them one bit absolutely amazing,
Very disappointed with the service we’ve received. The gentleman that valued our property came across very unprofessional. Valued our property a lot higher than the other local agents we had round with no explanation as too why which gave us very little confidence in them. Also never returned calls when they said they would. Avoid!!!
Couldn't have been better. Chris Englefield (mortgage adviser) has taken us from inquiry to completion. He has been clear, honest and incredibly helpful. A consummate professional.
Trying to contact ANYONE! In relation to purchase/sale (we are in chain) for 3 weeks now... No reply to phone calls or emails... Transaction on other end will fall through and we will get back to drawing board.... Frustrated / disappointed.
Just wanted to say how impressed I was at the young lady who showed me around a property today in Faversham. She was really friendly, knowlegable and helpful which was so refreshing, so thank you.
We recently bought our new house through Geering and Colyer. Their customer service was great, they went above and beyond to help keep our purchase moving at a good speed and were all available to help us whenever we needed it. Would be 5 stars if only the phones were answered first time every time... Because it's a smaller branch the phones can sometimes go unmanned because the agents are out doing viewings.
These guys are incestuous and Chris Walker undermined by an in office manger Chris Chambis who is abhorrent in his attitude shows no care of duty and is just in it for the money.
As a genuine buyer I would not recommend.
I never understood why estate agents had a bad name, but Geerings proved to us why. We bought a house via Geering and Colyer, initially all was fine, our offer accepted and I assumed it would all be that easy, we were happy to wait for our vendor to find somewhere themselves. They pushed their mortgage advisor but we chose not use them as we found better offers through a small, independent broker, despite Geerings apparently having exclusive deals. Geerings appointed a 'case manager' or similar who was meant to make weekly check ups - they didn't, and it went downhill from there. They were quick to blame our solicitor for delays, such as taking 7 days (with a 4 day bank holiday weekend in the middle) to post out and receive documents, and despite selling both properties in the chain, had very little interest in us as buyers. It took 6 months for the two vendors to be ready; not Geerings fault but there was very little communication in this time. This then landed exactly in a 5 week period when we could not complete and had declared at the outset, which led to Geerings lying to us and trying to manipulate us to complete ASAP. Genuinely expected we would be forced to pull out and stated we would on more than one occasion. Doubt we could have bought the house if we had our own chain.
Oh, and they lied on the advert as well, but that seems to be accepted nowadays. I guess they sold the house, but we'll be avoiding them in future.
