Our property was with G&C for 17 months in total and sold at the third attempt. Online marketing of the property was excellent, although the initial valuation was over priced and set unrealistic expectations. Hollie, Kirstie & Lyndsey went above and beyond to get the sale, accomodating buyer requests for multiple visits etc. However, I think high staff turnover did not help the sale and at times we would have benefitted from a dedicated Expediter in branch.

Evie helped us in Early December to find our dream home. We spoke about all the things we were after and what we did not want and Evie managed to provide the exact house of our dreams! The house came on the Market and Evie ensured we were in for a viewing in a matter of days or the listing, to which we had our offer accepted a few days later. Highly recommend Geering & Colyer.
Thomas worked incredibly hard to find our buyer and then secure our sale. He was always professional, answered my emails straight away and conducted all our viewings in a professional manner. Once our buyer was found he assisted all the way to the goal.
There were difficulties with our buyers solicitors communication (or lack of it) and Thomas was invaluable in liaising between our buyer and his solicitor to finally get us over the line. My worst experience so far. The agreed deal to purchase the property was called off because I didn’t want to go with the solicitors they referred me. I genuinely think this should be against the law to force anyone with any other associated business. So unethical ????

Have to go a long with previous reviewer with the service ive had so far. My brief was to price to sell as was looking for quick sale. A month gone by and yet still no marketing. Was advised that the auction route was the best way to go and I would hear from some one the following Monday, I had to chase this phone call two weeks later. Keep being told its now ready to go online ! Still nothing !!

1 star is generous!. Absolutely outrageous in every way possible I would never use them to buy or sell even if they were last estate agent in the Maidstone area. They never ever call you back and when you try and call them no one ever picks up. Took 1 week to arrange a viewing ( which then was arranged for a completely wrong day and time ) never mind mistakes happen . However imagine than making a offer and not hearing back at all no email or phone call to acknowledge the offer , despite 2 emails and countless calls Still waiting now … who knows maybe they will get round to it in December . I asked if they wanted to have a copy of my aip along with the offer to which they replied “no we don’t need that “ If you like your time wasted as a buyer or vendor than this is the estate agent to call . Also Did ask for a call from the manager still waiting for that to . I have never left any review but the truth had to be said.

Imagine all the possible worst in your estate agent and you can surely find it at this company. We put the house on the market at the end of February. Photos took ages to appear on the page, asked on number of occasions to put the board up outside - never received one. Had to chase the viewings, as they simply used to forget about them being cancelled or rescheduled... the sale was agreed on 23rd March, it then fell through on the 17th April and we still have not received any communication from the agency. We found out about it from the solicitors. By the way, the house is still on their website as SSTC.
If you want to make your house sale a huge hassle - they are the ones to go to.

These guys are incestuous and Chris Walker undermined by an in office manger Chris Chambis who is abhorrent in his attitude shows no care of duty and is just in it for the money.

I never understood why estate agents had a bad name, but Geerings proved to us why. We bought a house via Geering and Colyer, initially all was fine, our offer accepted and I assumed it would all be that easy, we were happy to wait for our vendor to find somewhere themselves. They pushed their mortgage advisor but we chose not use them as we found better offers through a small, independent broker, despite Geerings apparently having exclusive deals. Geerings appointed a 'case manager' or similar who was meant to make weekly check ups - they didn't, and it went downhill from there. They were quick to blame our solicitor for delays, such as taking 7 days (with a 4 day bank holiday weekend in the middle) to post out and receive documents, and despite selling both properties in the chain, had very little interest in us as buyers. It took 6 months for the two vendors to be ready; not Geerings fault but there was very little communication in this time. This then landed exactly in a 5 week period when we could not complete and had declared at the outset, which led to Geerings lying to us and trying to manipulate us to complete ASAP. Genuinely expected we would be forced to pull out and stated we would on more than one occasion. Doubt we could have bought the house if we had our own chain.
Oh, and they lied on the advert as well, but that seems to be accepted nowadays. I guess they sold the house, but we'll be avoiding them in future.

Chris Walker worked hard throughout to achieve a sale, with commitment and courtesy. The change in manager did not help smooth the process, too much pressure to adjust the price. However at the end of the day the sale and post sale process was well managed from our prospective by Chris Walker.

We have recently sold our house through geering and colyer and they have been so helpful every step of the way- from seeing a house we loved to moving in (and consequently needing to sell ours) was 12 weeks! Emily was there for us and made sure the whole thing went amazingly smoothly. We Have used other agents in the past and found moving really stressful. Using geering and colyer was a walk in the park in comparison. Highly recommend.

She was always available to speak to, from early in the morning (when I start work), to the evening providing moral support and re-assurance along the way.
