I have been a tenant with Michael Jones & Co since 2021 without issue. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been deeply concerning.
An energy account with OVO was opened without my knowledge using the agency’s own contact details. I was never informed of the supplier change. The account was set up as a monthly payment arrangement, and OVO have confirmed that payment alerts were being issued to the registered contact details throughout the period.
Despite this, I received no communication from Michael Jones regarding missed payments or mounting arrears.
The agency later acknowledged in writing that the account had been opened in error and stated it would be deleted. No confirmation of resolution followed. Instead, the matter was allowed to escalate to debt collection, with threats of credit reporting.
Formal complaints submitted in January 2026 have not been acknowledged. Subsequent correspondence has been ignored.
Extremely poor display of professional standards, transparency, and basic duty of care.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend their handling of tenant matters where accountability and communication are required.... Read more
