I dealt with Charles for my property search at Brinkleys, he was very knowledgeable, listened to my needs and was very attentive, I would definitely recommend Charles to anyone in search of a rental property!
No one turned up at the time of the appointment made only 2 days previously- when someone showed up 40 mins late- the keys didn’t work to show us around the flat. And then we were casually told that the other flat we were supposed to see was gone. Absolute waste of time taking an afternoon off work and no communication or help from them.
Sophie and Jimmy, as well as Dean as our mortgage broker, were professional and personable at all times. They helped guide us through the process as first time buyers and we really appreciated their help throughout!
Poor service and rude.
It might be a seller's market, but Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward seem to treat buyers with contempt. A general level of poor service from their agent and unhelpful responses to basic enquiries about the property, made viewing a couple of flats a frustrating experience.
We have been really impressed with Stephanie and Jon. At the end of last year over the Christmas period when our oven broke, Stephanie was quick to respond, kept us updated on progress and resolved the issue by sourcing us a new oven. Jon has also been great in responding to queries and on the last property visit, when my work schedule changed at short notice, he was really accommodating and able to offer an alternative plan. It's a real plus to have the support from Stephanie and Jon and from our experience they have always provided a professional level of service.
Much improved service from Dexters Wimbledon since Stephanie Silva took over our tenancy in the Property Management team. She is always quick to respond to queries and continuously follows up with us which is great!
The service provided us with by Anne, the renewals manager who looked after the renewal of our tenancy agreement, was very professional and the whole process was smooth thanks to her support. Wish more agencies were like this. Best of breed.
My personal experience as a tenant for two years was pretty terrible! Multiple issues with the flat were left to get worse and worse including serious issues with mold and damp, they were generally incompetent (losing their set of keys, not informing us of viewings, repeatedly getting our email addresses wrong etc. etc.). When we moved in the flat was dirty and full of rubbish, which we were left to deal with. We asked to see the check-in inventory when we moved in and were told there was not one with this property, only for it to appear when we came to move out and they wanted to charge us for a check-out inventory (this was a fee our contract said would only need to be paid if an inventory was carried out, so we had not expected to pay this given we were informed there was not an inventory). We were accused of lying about never having been provided with it (in a number of very rude and aggressive emails) and we were also generally dismayed to see that the check-in inventory listed many of the issues we went on to report to them during our tenancy, including much of the rubbish that had been left in the flat, yet none of it had not been dealt with before we moved in! We were very unhappy with how we were treated and are surprised by how well reviewed Brinkley's are.
