This review is based purely upon a buyers prospective, as the house we purchased was for sale via this estate agent.
During the sales negotiation phase, we found this estate agent ok. A little hard to get hold off at times but that was to be expected during the challenges of COVID. Our experience deteriorated once the sale was agreed.
During the whole sales process, we did not receive a single phone call or email updating us on how things were progressing. We were not too impressed by this but I guess we weren’t this estate agents clients. However, the estate agent we used to sell our property, updated both us and our buyers at least weekly (sometimes more depending on what was happening) highlighting the stark contrast in customer service.
We needed to contact Lee Shaw Partnership via the telephone regarding two issues during the whole sales process. Once to check if some of our seller’s outstanding paperwork had been submitted and once when we were trying to arrange the completion date. On one occasion my partner was told 'I've spent enough time on your case already today’. We feel this is completely unprofessional way to speak to someone. The person he spoke to offered us no further advice on how to resolve the issue. The way my partner was spoken too made us feel like we were a nuisance and pestering but I hardly think phoning to ask for an update on two issues during the whole process is excessive. Thankfully, our wonderful estate agent took it upon himself to get the issue sorted by getting the sellers solicitors details and contacting them himself to resolve the issues (which surprise surprise was sorted within the hour!).
I must stress again, this is from the buyers prospective only. We can’t comment on the service they would offer to their vendors.
