Despite good reviews for the sales team, the rental team are evidently useless. My parents have been trying for over two months to get their deposit returned after renting a property through Lee Shaws in Kingswinford, but the experience has been extremely disappointing. A representative named Harry has repeatedly tried to charge them for what is clearly general wear and tear, something that should not be deducted from a tenant’s deposit under fair letting practices and The Tenant Fees Act 2019.
Despite providing evidence and communicating several times, there has been no progress or resolution, and they have yet to receive any of their deposit back. This prolonged and stressful process has left them feeling ignored and unfairly treated.
I would urge anyone considering renting through this agency to be cautious and to document everything thoroughly when it comes to deposits and property condition. Or better still, avoid completely. Tenants deserve transparency and fairness — something that, unfortunately, has been lacking in this case.
In regards to the deposit being returned, legal action will be forthcoming.... Read more
