Very bad experience purchasing our property. Had a rude experience with Mr Allen when we asked to view the property one more time and he was really pushy with the sale too.
During the purchasing time the guy rarely contacted either side, even when we ask him the same simple question about the property a million times his response was the same, ' I'll find out, let me get back to you', then disappears for a month. In the end the whole process was 4 times longer than he promised. We spent soo much extra money on rent due to his ,' I'm going to get it done soon', responses, we had to kept moving from temporary accommodations, which costs much more than market rent price because it's always short term. In the end we were moving from air b&b to air b&b when both of us are in busy full time professions. I don't think this is what you want to experience when you are trying to purchase or sell your property.
Amazing company! Cannot recommend them enough, honest and reliable. After having a terrible experience with another company Shelley and the team took the time to explain everything, always answered my questions (there were a lot) and nothing was too much. My property was on the market less than a week and appropriate tenants were found. Completely stress-free.
Was told that I could rent a property, as I had a dog, with certain conditions in place. Arranged an appointment with myself for 2 days later to bring down the relative paperwork to there office so I could rent the property . On turning up, I was told that they didn’t even know I had an appointment and that the landlord was now undecided about the dog. I appreciate that it is the landlords prerogative to change his mind, but to not be informed of this and to not even be aware I had an appointment is very unprofessional! I asked them on leaving their office to inform me of the final decision regarding the rental, but they failed to do this as well. Very poor communication skills, very unreliable!!!
Ive used Cowling & Payne as the managing agent for my property for over 10 years. The excellent service they provided during this period left me with no doubts about also using them to sell the property.
Their performance whilst selling (James and Michael) was excellent ... good guidance on a realistic value for the property, regular updates on viewings and, following acceptance of the bid, a very proactive service regularly chasing/updating all parties involved. I would highly recommend.
Unprofessional, incompetent, rude. Only care about getting money off you. Deserve minus 50 stars.
Completely failed to mention that the previous tenant hadn't paid the gas bill so the meter had been replaced with a prepayment one. Which was bad enough, but this meant the gas supply had been cut off, because if they replace the meter, checks then have to be done internally before it can be reconnected. C&P didn't lift a finger to even remotely help get this sorted, had to do it all myself. So no heating for the first month I lived there. Which was November.
Only vaguely useful member of their team (so she's probably left and got another job by now) was Sharon who looks after organising maintenance, gas inspections, etc. Needless to say it all fell apart when she was on holiday.
Williams and Donovan worked tirelessly every day and, without question, gave some of the best customer service I have ever encountered. Cannot recommend them enough, especially the wonderful Lloyd.
Ian and his team were a real delight and sold our house first time, every time. I say 'every time' as we sold our house to the first people that walked in the door each time someone else dropped out due to financial backing falling through or other reasons beyond our control. W&D were a true support when the sellers kept backing out and never gave up on us.

Arrogant, rude, obnoxious. They could not care less about showing buyers around and the assistant manager Scott just makes things up! Would give -1 stars if I could. Steer well clear
