I would like to share our personal experience renting with kempsters. Our experience has left us in a position that we are never going to rent a property again. We have been blessed to be given an opportunity for a shared ownership in the future as we couldn’t go through this again. I demanded we went through dps for deposit as I felt kempsters were being very unreasonable that’s my opinion, I even left a lovely fridge freezer there (there was a small fridge there originally) yes we took pictures of original rightmove ad that can be seen today also to confirm this. We left it there to be nice as we felt there wouldn’t be no issues otherwise I would have just took it with me and left a basic fridge in its place. My personal experience is they were rude (yep I’ve seen that appear on here before on other reviews and I can confirm this was our experience too). Tips for renters take pictures of a property before you move in and the day you hand back the keys. That’s so important and please when your on Google please check over reviews from businesses to ensure they are from people who have had a genuine experience. That’s my friendly advice to anyone. Oh and lastly never feel worried to leave a review, as long as it’s based on a real genuine experience of yours you won’t be in trouble for slander. We are in a fortunate position to be close to someone with a large social following so we know if we ever need our voices heard we could have this need met but I’m aware there are many out there who aren’t as fortunate and go unnoticed with issues they would like brought to light. We havent taken that route yet, still considering. Just do the steps I’ve advised above when renting a property and you should never have any issues. I would like to say a thank you to deposit protection scheme for allowing tenants a place to put their side across. I won’t say anymore due to data protection but I wouldn’t recommend kempsters if you are looking to rent a property. I can’t say about their selling but for renters I definitely wouldn’t recommend. I was very pleased with the service I received from Kempsters in selling my property and I'd have no hesitation in recommending them.
What I liked most was they weren't the classic sales people who feed you big promises to get your business or a low valuation to get a quick sale. I shopped around and they were the only agent who gave me a realistic valuation and came across like professionals who were also refreshingly normal and trustworthy.
That trust was returned in both the successful sale for full asking price and the value for money they provide with things like the quality of their marketing and their responsiveness to messages/calls.

Kempsters Estate Agent are a dream to work with. Right from viewing the property to picking up the keys. They simplified the process, gave me consistent information as to what was happening and also went above and beyond to correspond with my solicitors and the sellers solicitors.
The staff are super friendly, especially Ms Kathy and Ms Jill. They are down to earth and most of all absolutely fine specimens of top class double diamond standard ladies. (Pretty sure the guys in the office are the same).
In my opinion without them to help me facilitate every aspect of the house buying procedure and push the solicitors, I am pretty sure I will still be waiting for a response from the sellers or even my solicitors. Thank you Kempsters estate agents. You guys are 1 in a million

Coming from a background of working within an estate agency, I was absolutely disgusted to see how I was treated as a potential buyer by one of the negotiators at Kempsters. I viewed a property on a Friday and informed them that I had other properties to view and would make my decision after viewing all properties. After my viewing with them, which was directly with the seller, no one from Kempters called me about my feedback and therefore not giving their vendor any feedback or to note my interest. I then made an offer the following day and was told they would pass over to the vendor, but did not ask me by what means I would be buying the property and had to stop the negotiator putting the phone down so I could explain my position. Then on the Monday I get a call to tell me that I was too late and that the buyer chose to go with another offer which was the same value, which is fine, however when I expressed that I was disappointed that I did not get a call to ask about my feedback after the viewing, she told me that this is my problem as they are too busy to do this. When I said that I found her attitude rude and unhelpful, she replied with “Yes it is rude and I don’t care”. To say that I was gob smacked is an understatement. I would not view or sell through this firm as clearly they have no regards to their sellers or buyers.

We used Kempsters and found them totally professional, very helpful and responsive to our needs. When we had cause to contact them they were there and available to get things done pretty much instantly. Towards the end of our tenancy we needed some flexibility to our contract and they were able to fully accommodate our needs. Our circumstances have now changed and we are unlikely to need their services again, however we would not hesitate in recommending Kempsters to others.. Rating 1* is probably being kind, called this estate agent to view a property after viewing it and deciding to purchase it the following morning we went back and forward with the price and agreed on a sale.
I instructed my broker and solicitors to move forward and sent the office all my relevant documents to be called 4 hours later they have sold the property to someone else with a better offer unless I wanted to beat it? I obviously said no and their response was okay can we call you if this sale does not go through?
If you are looking to buy, sell or rent a property trust me go to another estate agent in Grays plenty more agents who will remember customer service does still exist.
If you read the 1* reviews seems like a common pattern going on
The women I was dealing with was absolutely embarrassed bless her and did admit does not agree with what happened today.
To think I was going to use these guys to manage the property as well.. sometimes looking at the bigger picture is also beneficial for the business not just £
They made the easiest sale into a mess!

Excellent from our first enquiry to completion. I was initially impressed when browsing Right Move on how well the properties sold by Kempsters were presented. The photography, virtual tour and premium listings all caught the eye. We enquired on the Kempsters website about selling our property and was contacted by Glenn immediately.
Our house was on the market a few days later and sold a few days after that! The whole process was very smooth and Kempsters did all they could to ensure everything went as smoothly as possible, providing updates as they occurred via email/phone. We also purchased through Kempsters and this experience was also faultless.
Thank you to Glenn and the team, we would definitely recommend to friends and family and use them again.

We are so impressed with them. The brochure and 360 degree walk through that they did on our house was superb. We sold the house in May, the first day of viewings. Unfortunately through no fault of theirs, after 3 months our purchasers’ lender pulled the offer. Ian at Kempsters was on the ball and got the house back on the market immediately. The next viewings sold again on first day but 2 days later changed their minds. Back on the market again! We decided to go away for a couple of weeks and Ian took charge and dealt with viewings ( sold straight away again) and survey ( 3rd one!)
They have been supportive throughout this very stressful time and we are now (in October )finally in our new home. Thank you guys. Worth every penny, I doubt you would get such a personal service from that coloured brick company!

We used kempsters, and at the time they seemed a really good company to use. The day until a offer was made on our house, we had contact with them on a day to day. Then we went 8 weeks plus with no contact . I was having to ring the solicitors and other people to find out the updates. Even on day of completion we had no support from them.
