I recently had the pleasure of buying our first home with [Henry fleet at eaton bray branch], and I cannot recommend them highly enough! From our first meeting, it was clear that he truly cares about clients and their needs.
He was very friendly and took into account all are wants and needs took his time explaining the area and the home its self took alot of stress out of the process.
Communication was another strong point. Henery and Reece was always available to answer questions, provide updates, and address any concerns I had throughout the process.
In terms of negotiation, Henry expertise shone through as I truly believe that without Hernys skills, I wouldn't have found such a wonderful place.

We are first time buyers and have been in the process of looking for a home for around 6 months… We have met many agents via different estate agent companies, however Castles are by far the best in terms of professionalism, proving information, knowing the property they are looking to sell, explaining in detail aspects of the property whilst taking you on tour and seem genuinely invested in listening to your needs. I have not yet bought our home (hence only 4 stars) but Castles go that extra mile compared to the other estate agents. Many other estate agents hand you a document and then let you wonder the property without saying a word, don’t know much about a property and/or are on their phone throughout the appointment. A totally different experience with Castles. If you have the option of viewing a property via Castles you definitely should. My recent viewing was with Matt and Calum both very professional and helpful. Thanks guys!

I would give to Castles in Eaton Bray zero stars if this was possible! Stay away especially if you want to get your deposit back! In particular stay away from 2 individuals: Jake Houchen and Lumina Antoine. They encourage landlords to make deductions from the deposit! They even blamed me and my wife of causing the mould in the bedroom when it was not our fault!! The property where we lived was very damp! The way they treated me and my wife absolutely disgusted me!

I have recently rented a property through Castles. We dealt with Jake and I’d like to leave this review as we had the best experience with him. So many companies just do the absolute minimum but not with him. He answered all our queries and has done above and beyond to make sure we are settled and happy at our new property. Which we really are! I would not hesitate using Castles again. A year ago we rented a property through Giblin (1 Threeways, Northall). The property has an unconventional structure for gas supply. There was a gas tank at the back garden. As the previous tenant left gas in the tank and the landlord didn’t want to pay him, we were required to pay the gas directly to the previous tenant. Giblin gave us a post it with the value of £355 to pay. I then contacted Calor in order to work out if the amount was correct. While I was waiting to be contacted by Calor we had a man knocking on our door claiming to be the landlord, but no notice was given or even a phone call to inform that he was going there. I wasn’t home, and he said to my wife that we would need to pay the £355 to him until the end of that week, he left a card with his phone number for me to call him. I called him and he didn’t let me speak at all, he was so rude and aggressive to the point that I felt threatened.
After the sad event I sent an email to report the situation to Giblin and the answer was they weren’t managing the property anymore! Then a few weeks after we had the previous tenant knocking on our door asking to be paid as the landlord didn’t pay him for the gas that he left in the tank. We end up paying the amount of gas to the previous tenant as required at the beginning of the tenancy agreement.
At the end of 1 year contract we started to look for another property and we didn’t passed the references to rent another place because the landlord gave bad references mentioned that we own him the gas left in the tank, then sent us a letter saying he only was going to give good references if we paid for the full amount of £355 plus £50 interest fee! We had to pay this as well otherwise we wouldn’t be able to rent another place and bear in mind we do have young children and they were aware of that. The big surprise was when the landlord sent us a letter to leave the property key at Giblin, which we did. This was a tricky situation! Not to mention the mould in the property, a 3 bed and we were all sleeping in the dining room during the months between November and end of January.
We have now left gas in the tank and I can see how hard or probably impossible it is going to be to recover that amount! Run away from this letting agent, they are not honest at all.

My experience.
Within moments of them taking over from Giblins my rent went up by over a third. Despite knowing I was out the country from Dec 22 to March 23, and previously using email to contact me, a hand written letter is delivered through the post telling me my rent is going up. Apparently this rent increase by stealth is LEGAL. So beware, they are not the most honest company out there and I've lost £300 of my deposit as a result. Oh and the black mold issue reported was never fixed, in fact after moving out, another couple move straight in. They'll likely blame them for it too rather than fix the issue. Within a few months, 3 renter's (myself and the neighbours) moved out....oh and my other friend was moved out after promising a new kitchen as the original was dire, that never manifested either.
To top it off, I get a leaflet in post from my return to the UK from Castles that said "Landlords, we get you premium prices" yes, by robbing your tenants blind. I was at my old place for 13 years. For just £200 more a month I swapped my 3 bed FLAT, to a 5 bed DETACHED house.
STAY AWAY, ILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN.
Shop around, you'll find better deals and better agents out there!!
In further response to your reply, we kitted out the new bathroom, the only room that was decorated in 13 years. This was done so as to keep the rent lower. The tiles were falling off the wall and were dangerous at this point.The rent was lower due to the kitchen being from 1980 and draws falling to bits.
New landlord, didn't even visit us, or look at the property, the black mold issue was rife.
What you failed to mention, is that you'd emailed me several times while I was away, so why not when the rent was suddenly put up. Giving me 3 days to find rent increase due in March. So thanks for that!! Totally unprofessional. Let's hope you learn from this, I'm still totally disgusted by the stealth way you did it.

Jake Houchen is just brilliant. We had our viewing with Jake and from the get go he was so welcoming and approachable. After the viewing we had put forward an offer on the property and Jake kept us informed on any updates along the way which put our minds at ease through what would typically be, quite a stressful process.
Once the reference checks had all been completed, Jake gave us the good news and we arranged a suitable day and time to collect the keys. On key collection day, he was as brilliant as he was on the first viewing. He gave us a beautiful move in box with some settling in supplies which we've never had from any other letting agent in the past. Beautiful touch.
We really could not have wished for a better experience. Professional, personal and warming. Thank you again so much Jake, we will definitely be popping in for a cuppa once we're settled in!

We decided to use a local estate agents when selling our property and selected Giblin Property, a family-owned business. Onboarding was quick and easy and our property was soon on the market. All prospective buyers went through a vetting process to ensure they could afford the property and were in the market to buy which hasn’t always been my experience in the past with other estate agents. After a handful of viewings we were lucky to find buyers quite quickly and we rushed to find a property. Just a few months later and our property was sold and we had moved into our new house. Interestingly our buyers were also selling through Giblin Property.
I’m out of that local area now but would use again and would highly recommend to others. Invest in a family business that cares and not a high-street brand.

I contacted Giblin via telephone regarding a property local to them that they are advertising. It didn’t show any pictures of the bathroom so I rang asking mainly if there was a bath insitu, as that was what I wanted. The guy on the phone stated there was only a shower. I also asked if pets were accepted because I have a dog, he said that was fine, they are accepted. I said I’d discuss with my partner about the fact there was only a shower as it was possibly something we could put up with and that I would contact them back. A week went past and I noticed that more pictures had been put up for the same property and one of the pictures was of the bathroom showing a bath!!!! I rang this morning stating this was unusual as the man on the phone said there was only a shower. I said I was interested and double checked about the dog being accepted. The lady I spoke to said the landlord DOES NOT accept dogs! There is a huge lack of communication within the business clearly. I was very disappointed by this and will try and avoid any properties let through Giblin in my search to find a new home.

We were renting from this company and they were all nice to mine and my partner when we moved in, HOWEVER, when it came to moving out, they were finding any little thing to keep our whole deposit and not giving us a choice to get our own PROFESSIONAL companies in to clean / decorate, they are not happy with anyone else apart from a supposed lady who we can not find a website for and who we have no yet seen certificates or qualification from. They have not reply with relevant information to what we have asked. We are not happy and WE will NOT be using this Agency again if we rent or when we when buy a house.
