Waste of time, get minimal feedback from viewers if Connells actually manage to make contact with them afterwards and if the people actually turn up to view in the first place. Let down on numerous occasions and weren't interested why we didn't want to stay with them so they could improve their performance in the future. Poor, poor poor.

I had a real hit and miss experience with connells, but overall I really would not recommend them. Some of the estate agents are rude and patronising and ‘very shouty’ on the phone. I rearranged plans for a viewing, that was cancelled which I wasn’t told had been cancelled, they were just a no show. The mortgage advisor did more for me in regards to viewings! I would get told I would receive phone calls back and these would never come. Two estate agents that were nice, were lovely.

AVOID!!!

I would rather be homeless than use this joke of a company ever again!!

So many issues with my furnished rental property! Was left without a working washing machine for 3 MONTHS, no working TV aerial for months and was not given my landlords contact details. I was not getting enough hot water to even fill a bath tub (which was the only option as no shower installed). Promised countless phone calls and never recieved any back. Had to chase all my issues with the property DAILY and nothing was done until I had to get the local MP and the Council involved. Absolute joke company. DO NOT USE!!

Harry O'Brien was very helpful and quick to deal with our enquiries. We called to get a viewing, he followed all government protocols and was very patient with us. Moreover, he was kind enough to provide me with his personal phone number so that I could text him whenever I need - this was very important to me since I can easily get anxious.
I definitely recommend Connells to anyone out there looking to rent or buy a house.

A very dishonest estate agent. I rented a property of them in 2019, my contract was due to begin on the 1st of June. I got a call from an agent of their asking me (pushing me) to start the contract on the 29th May instead, I accepted as I didn't think much of it. Fast forward three month and I find out the government introduced the legislation removing the agent's fees on the 1st of June 2019 which would have exempted me but I literally got tricked to sign earlier so that I would pay the £450. I do not recommend them one bit.

My partner and I wanted to view a property, we have a mortgage in principle. Which I’m sure everyone can understand is a long task in itself. We were told we had to do an affordability check prior to viewing for the protection of the seller. It is not an estate agents job to check if my partner and I can afford a property, that’s the mortgage broker and banks job. It’s a conflict of interest them knowing our finances. They’re legally obligated to make a seller aware of an offer but if they only let certain people make offers based on their own algorithm of affordability then previous reviews saying that their house received only one viewing in 3 weeks isn’t a surprise. They’re the only estate agent out of 15 I arranged viewings with to ask such a thing. Very disappointing as we loved the house and had a mortgage in principle for more than the asking price and were willing to offer more to secure a sale.

I write regarding the service provided by Beth and Luke. I came into Exeter office seeking to rent a flat in the area.I met with both the individuals mentioned and I found them both to be welcoming, professionally friendly and very informative.

Through all my dealings they both always presented in this way when i telephoned one of them was always available and always as helpful and informative as possible. I also point out that I was regularly contacted by Luke in keeping me informed with all necessary developments.

It was also noticeable that whilst always being as efficient as possible, if Luke was ever uncertain regarding a question or piece of information then her would immediately refer to Beth who was always competent in addressing any issue. It was noticeable that Luke worked efficiently under Beth's professional guidance. All of their work successfully enabled me to complete the rental of a property.

The work of Beth and Luke was positive and professionally very competent but it always carried with it a professional friendly approach.

I finish by saying I would recommend Connells in Exeter through the work of Luke and Beth in the Lettings Team.
