Thank you for your support and efforts throughout the deal particularly Driss and Dylan where very efficient and always ready to help when needed. Would highly recommend this chestertons. Look forward to doing future deals :)
Having lived in London since relocating from the States over 12 years ago, I have dealt with a number of real estate brokers. None have been so woefully bad as Chestertons in London W2 – the "service" I received is so totally awful it cannot be called a service.
An agreement was signed by both parties on a prospective sale agreeing to commission of 1.25%. The property was sold and Chestertons sent an invoice charging commission at 1.5%. When I refused to pay the difference, the South African real estate agent Dylan James turned up at my house and literally tried to kick my front door in. My daughter (aged 15) was inside and terrified. Mr James proceed to loiter at my front door for the best part of an hour - smoking cigarettes, shouting and threatening violence. Upon eventually returning to his office he called my wife on her cellphone and threatened to employ heavy-handed debt collectors if I didn't cough up. I refused to pay a penny more than the rate agreed. Mr James eventually and ungracefully accepted. This firm is arrogant, dishonest, and inefficient.
I dealt with this agency for my first let in London and I found the experience to be very good. A very friendly lady called Megan showed me around a number of flats to suit my budget and looked after me from start to finish. I moved into a property within a week a finding the right one and it was clean and trouble free. I was given updates on my references and the tenancy agreement was explained to me fully before signing. Good experience overall.
This is the worst property management company in history. As many of the reviews have mentioned, they really have zero customer service. Very flaky people and do not give you a direct answer even when you call them directly.
It is not worth having to deal with them. It is better to find some other renting companies.
If you’re looking for an apartment in London- ask for Edvin! He is the best agent and so kind and professional!
The worst agency to deal with. Customer experience is shocking. Once they have got your commission they are not interested. When complaining the managers are also spectacularly unhelpful. Do yourself a favour and AVOID at all costs!!
I have been privileged to have George as my Property Agent.
He is very professional and very efficient.
He helped me with everything from the beginning and I could not wish for any better assistance than his.
Apart of that he is lovely and very kind person.
If every property agent on this planet could learn from George that would be great:)
Thank you George for everything.
I wish you all the best in your career.
You are doing great job!
WORST AGENCY TO DEAL WITH
I have rented for a couple of years now and it has all been with private landlords up until I rented with this company. I wish I didn't move in and stuck to a private landlord.
I am writing this review to warn you all not to trust agencies like this. They aren't organised. They could not care less about individuals and complaining has literally got me no where. I'm saddened to think companies can treat you like this.
The day we checked in the flat wasn't professionally cleaned. That had to be done whilst we were moving in after I complained.
2 weeks later I had to phone the police and complain to the agency as a large piece of furniture had been moved whilst me and my partner were out work - a break in. Nothing was done and I had to pay to get the locks changed as they weren't changed prior to us moving in! I had to incur the cost !! Like I said I complained and nothing was done. The agency even admitted the locks were changed before that last tenants.
We had no access to the underground car park for over a month. As the agency forgot to provide us the key !!! This took so long after constant emails to the agency and broken promises. We finally got the key !!
But tonight is the icing on the cake. I am 8 month pregnant and we have had no water to the apartment for 6 hours. I called complete and they said they will send someone which they did this person told me to ring Thames water. Which I did. After waiting for 4 hours the leak is in the building so I will need to ring complete again which I did. I have just got off the phone to the out of hours department and spoke to someone who only help was that he will log the call and pass on to the office in the morning !!!! I explained I am 8 months pregnant and I have no use of water or the bathroom for 6 hours and he classes this as non urgent. I explained to him there is a major leak in the building which he then gave me a phone number of someone who he couldn't even give me a name of the person who I will be calling ! I rang this person and they had no idea why I was calling. I rang complete again and explained and all he could offer was to log for the tomorrow.
Prior to moving in I was promised there is an emergency out of hours service who will help. FALSE. !!!! Tonight proved it.
When renting with a private landlord I have had an identical situation happen to me. Out of hours someone came and fixed it.
Renting is expensive as it is all you expect back apart from a roof over your head is someone to be there to help with an emergency at any time. Complete can not. And do not do that. It is now almost midnight and I am looking to book a hotel.
The worst part is that I can't talk to anyone in the company as no one seems to care. I have spoken to a manager about the break in incident and nothing came of it. I asked for directors names and they were never given. With everything it's time to take legal advice.
Stick to private landlords. Think about the service you will get after you have checked in. I have never had an issue with a private landlord. I will never chose and agency again.
Fantastic service from start to finish. Gemma went above and beyond to find us an apartment in a tight spot after another agency accepted our offer and then cancelled with only 2 weeks until our move out date. Highly recommended.
Useless branch for maintenance after you rent an apartment. Avoid.
If you scroll through the reviews you will see, that most are from people, who have done this single review only.
11.8.2018 - Today I have updated my review from 0 to 1 star. This because Knight Frank, after 71 days, finally managed to send a plumber to repair my shower cabin, making it possible to feel like a human being. I hope all you other KF tenants out there are experiencing better response to your flat issues, than I do :)
Spacious rooms, friendly staff and even sorted me an early check in. Decent breakfast too!
Disgrace of a hotel, dirty sheets, dirty bathroom. In dire need of a revamp. Rude staff.
Lack of care all round.
Politely asked for a refund for which I was told I would be called back, I had to call back two days later.
