After viewing a house that was up with Durden and Hunt I decided to use them for the sale of my property in Loughton. From start to finish they have been brilliant. At times I didn't think I would ever move, but Durden made this happen and they were right all along, and told me to stay positive and it would happen. Frustrating experience with this estate agent. They keep the property available for viewings even after an offer has been accepted. Although they do mention the offer, the continued viewings can mislead buyers into thinking the property is still available. It feels like they’re using potential buyers as leverage.
For new buyers, it's important to ask the estate agent directly about the status of any accepted offers and clarify why the property is still being shown to others. If you find yourself in this situation, consider looking at other properties to avoid getting too invested in one that might not actually be available. Also, be cautious and ensure clear communication to protect your time and expectations

Our experience with Durden and Hunt has been the best experience we have had with any estate agents, and we have dealt with a lot of them.
The majority of our contact with Durden and Hunt has been with Alex and Amanda, and it has been an absolute pleasure working with them. It never once felt like we were dealing with Agents, it just felt like they were 2 friends helping us out with the sale of our house.
The sale of our house was very swift and efficient and Alex even managed to get us a lot more than we were hoping for. This was amazing as this gave us a bigger budget for our next home. But the key thing for me was that Alex never over sold us on anything. Alex also made sure we were kept up to date with any offers coming in, I never had to ring him for an update.
Once the sale was agreed Amanda took over who was just as amazing as Alex and so helpful. We spoken to each other on a regular basis and I always felt in the loop with everything that was going on.
We bought our new property through a different agent, but both Alex and Amanda were always on hand to help us with the new purchase whether this just was just advice or being available to advise our purchase agent with an update.
Both were always easy to get a hold of and always remembered to get back to you if they were unable to pick up the phone.
These days I find Agent a little un-trust worthy, but never once felt this way about the guys at Durden and Hunt. We of course also dealt with others at Durden and Hunt and although this wasn't very often, they were always very professional and helpful.
I would highly recommend Durden and Hunt to anyone who is looking for an agent, and if you are lucky enough to get Alex and Amanda then you are in very safe hands. Though I'm sure everyone else there will just as good.
I spoke to Amanda and Alex so often, that it will now be a little weird not speaking to them every other day.

Louise and Ellis were great at going through all the viewings with all the potential buyers. They both did their utmost to get a sale for me. They were highly professional and were always on time.

Could not recommend the service Amanda gave us more highly, she is AMAZING.
Anything we needed she was extremely helpful, and ensured everything was broken down and explained to us so we were aware of all the goings on between the solicitors. Even on the day we were to both exchange and complete she was pushing our solicitors (who I would not recommend) to get everything done.

Jason started the process for us and he always been approachable and friendly. Then comes the Amanda Schiavi(Sales progressor) who took over from Jason our case. though we had some issues from my solicitor side in delaying the paper works. She kept pushing them sending several follow-ups and acted on behalf of us(cuz we opted-in a solicitor on our own which was a very big mistake then we realised). She is just not estage agent she works truely for the Client's wish. Amanda is a Asset for D&H and pleasure for Client. Kasia, mortgage advisor, another person whom i can thank for my entire life. she works more than just a mortgage advisor. I can say without any doubt at all, what a genuine pleasure it was to buy a house via Alex's estate agency. On a day to day basis I dealt with Louise, who was a superstar and went above and beyond her duty.
I genuinely believe the entire chain would have fallen apart were it not for the herculean efforts Louise made to try and make it all work.
