As a parent I find it very important to trust my daughters well being to someone who is trust worthy , I found that trust in 1Stop letting shop , they offered a first rate service that was by far the most accommodating of all letting agents I conversed with , not only did they have a suitable location available they offered valuable help and advice and are easily contactable should any queries arise . Would give it zero but can't. Like many back street letting agents they talk the talk but neither care for the owners property nor the welfare of the tenants. Do not trust their lies, they are only there to make money for themselves. They do not do any maintenance and do not inspect either the interior or exterior of the property. It is interesting to note that two of the five star reviews are from owners. Can I suggest that they inspect the state of their properties themselves once in a while. I also see that other higher ratings are from people who have worked for the letting agency in one way or another. Appalling.... Read more

Absolutely disgusting company. We rented off them for a few years and then had to fight to get any of our deposit back (successfully I might add) through the deposit protection service. They are an absolute con and should not be in any form of business. They do not communicate internally or with the people renting from them. Both houses we rented from them had leaks which never got fixed. Don't waste your time or money dealing with these jokers.... Read more

Do not rent a property from this agency!! From moving into the property there were problems we the heating and hot water which resulted in mould throughout the house. When informing the agency of this multiple times the landlord was finally contacted, when the landlord arrived he said he had only been informed that day. Further problem persisted and nothing was done until we threatened contacting the council about the poor conditions we were living in. Long story short, we directly contacted the landlord from then onwards in order to get our problems sorted. The agency didn't seem to be interested in anything that didn't involve them receiving money from us. When they did house inspections they only inspected communal areas and would moan about the smallest amount of mess. This could be as petty as a couple pizza boxes in a pile the day before bin day. A couple times they also turned up without informing us, which is a clear breach of our contract. The worst thing occurred when we had vacated the property at the end of our occupacy. When personally contacting the water company regarding our vacancy, they informed me that they had received correspondence from the agency informing them that we were the tenants for a further year. When challenged the agency proceeded to lie to me. Be aware.... Read more

I've always found Kimberley,Roberta and the company generally excellent. Helpful, proactive and professional. I am utterly shocked to read these bad reviews of the One Stop Letting Shop. Kimberley and her team have looked after the renting of my little house for about fourteen years, and after my experience of trying to do it myself and the total disinterest of, what was at the time, a large better known agency who really were only interested in my money, I have been over the moon not to have to worry about anything, the One Stop Letting Shop finds my tenants and deals with contracts, lets me know when work needs doing, gets the estimates for me and arranges for the work to be done. And I believe my tenant is happy too! I hope that whatever has caused so much dissatisfaction for others can be put right, though I don't see that the agency can be blamed for a bad landlord.... Don't ever rent from them, unless you feel that you can cope with their incompetance. They have just been useless and unorganised in general but are very good at pretending passing off their incompetance as your fault. They seem to be unable to keep track of simple things like keys, phone numbers and e-mail addresses. They have turned up unannouced, tried to charge twice for one months rent due to their poor record keeping, charged late fees (which are classed as penalties and therefre illegal and unenforcable). E-mails that they supposedly sent have never arrived, and apparent phone calls wouldn't connect even though we have repeatedly informed them of our correct e-mail addresses and phone numbers. They sent the confidential bank details and signature of one of our gaurantors to one of the other gaurantors. It took some of us hours to get our keys because despite being told days in advance the exact time we were turning up because they had forgotten and let someone take the keys out...the list goes on. They pretend to know what they are doing and are clearly just looking for an easy way to make some money so they will try and get every penny out of an unsuspecting customer.... Read more

If they didn't operate in an industry relying on contracts with a fresh set of customers annually, One stop letting would go out of business extremely quickly. Why any landlord would choose to do business with them is wholly beyond me. Do not be deceived if you do go in and talk to them, the 'friendly and flexible' appearance is really only a front for a thoroughly lazy and disorganised business. Perhaps you are reading this review (and most others below {Side note, Jordan Branch was an employee of One Stop letting at his time of 5* review.}) and thinking we have unreasonably high expectations of a letting agent. Let me provide for you some examples of the standard of service given 1) Not a single maintenance request during two years of living in a One Stop Letting property was ever resolved in under a full calender month. Fortunately we had nothing 'major' go wrong. This includes 31 days to replace a broken kettle (told 3 days, on a chase up phone call following an ignored email a week before. Replacement kettle was then delivered to the wrong house - only on the 4th communication on the matter did a kettle arrive). Simply absurd how something so basic could be dragged out so long. An ongoing problem of a faulty shower lasted almost 11 months before being fully solved. 2) Communication of all kinds was despicably poor. If you do have to make contact, ensure it is by email. I strongly urge you to record all phone dealings you have with them. In an HMO property, they seem to assume that contact to one tenant is enough. Group emails to all the tenants of a property must be beyond their computer literacy. Emails frequently are left unresponded, phone calls and shop visits are met with very slippery shoulders. 3) Disorganisation. How they make it through the year without some serious failures I have no idea. This is apparent in every aspect of the business, right through from holding contact information for tenants (I was contacted on many occasions for my email address, phone number, and other information all of which was given to them in my initial contract signing paperwork) 3) General attitude. Several times in dealings with them I was directly called a liar. Now, I appreciate when dealing with students in such a shoddy manner as is One Stop letting's custom, they are likely to experience some strong language and raised tempers. I however have been polite in all communication, and strictly relied on facts, including exact dates and times and content of previous communications. In multiple occurrences of them being at fault, I received only one small slight apology. A personal highlight of their incompetence was an email dated 16th May, including a line asking for my email address for future correspondence! Unless you are left with no other choice, or don't mind a useless dysfunctional letting agent, I would strongly advise taking your custom to one of the many other businesses in the Swansea area.... Very unprofessional. No organisation. They only care about taking your money, and as soon as they have that you barely get a response from them. They're ignorant of any problems I report about the property and when they eventually do get back to me about any issue they are downright rude, or will have somebody do a cowboy job on the cheap. Like other reviews have stated, and like anybody who has had dealings with them will tell you Roberta IS the devil, and Kimberley is joining her on her one way journey to hell too. Awful. Avoid at all costs. Though they will try to keep up good appearances at first, most of the staff are very rude and unhelpful, and they will try and get money from you whenever possible. When we moved in the house was a state, with mould everywhere, grease and dust everywhere even though we were told 'professional' cleaners would be in before we moved in. Throughout the time we lived there they made every effort to ignore any problems we had, and then after leaving the place in beautiful condition, we were charged to get cleaners in. We were than told we would receive our bonds back in a month, after three months and several calls later they have decided they need to keep it for themselves, and as they did not use the government bond scheme we are stuck. Thieves and liars, I just hope you think to check these reviews before using them, which is a mistake I wont make again.... Read more
