25th Nov 2025 (12 weeks ago)If I could put a minus score I would,a relative of mine was treated appallingly basically being forced out with a feeble excuse that landlord wanted to sell now property is readvertised with guess what £100 extra a month,and to top it all she still hasn't had her bond returned,stay away from this company.

Hopefully I won’t be moving in the near future, but I would strongly advise if anyone is thinking of selling a property to use Paula and the team at astleys Neath . They appeared fully invested in getting us over the line and were incredibly friendly, professional, and approachable throughout. I would highly recommend them.

12th Feb 2026 (4 days ago)The manager of John Francis told me that my ex-rental house was fine to market as it was and gave me [what I believed was a very high asking price. She advised against carrying out the work I had planned before sale. The house had virtually no viewings for months and John Francis were useless. When I kept querying what should be done to stimulate a sale, they upped the advertising. After several more months I decided that I should reduce the price from the stupid figure they had suggested. I got more viewings, but by then the market had dropped as it was near Christmas. Before marketing the property I went against John Francis' advice and painted the house. John Francis did not give any advice about reducing the rent and ignored emails from me. They have refused to communicate for several months and their phone lines are a nightmare as you are kept waiting for ever before anyone answers. My house has been empty now for a year and I am paying council tax, gas an electricity charges. Do not use them.- 6th Sep 2025 (23 weeks ago)Couldn’t be more grateful to Andrea and all the team at Dawsons, during the valuation Andrea arrived with a full put together info pack with no questions left unanswered. Easiest yes to go with Dawsons after all the other valuations I had with other estate agents left me feeling overwhelmed - it couldn’t have been an easier process. Accurate Valuation, house was up on the market a week later and sold within 4 working days of it going live. it’s been a breath of fresh air and so much easier than I thought . Thank you all so much x

Selling a family home remotely from over 300 miles away was always going to be difficult but Melanie supported me through the whole process and took the initiative to find solutions to uncomplicate unforeseen issues . Can't thank her enough for all the help and support.
4th Aug 2025 (6 mo. ago)Having recently sold our parents house through Peter Alan Morriston, I can only say that I would STRONGLY advise anyone to steer clear. My sister and I have found them to be totally inefficient, poor communication and lacking local knowledge. Firstly, they could see the condition on the house and I presume would know the local value, but were WAY out on price, which I believe was over inflated to get us to go with them. Secondly, they would rarely get back to us when leaving a message, as you could rarely get through. Plus we would give them answers to queries from the vendor, then a few days later they would ring us back saying the vendor was worried as they had received no reply and yet THEY had not passed on the message. Also, they had been trying and trying (apparently) to contact the buyer's estate agents to ask necessary questions and could never get through, I tried the same today, spoke to them and the matter was resolved!? Many a time it seems like the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing, because somebody was off on holidays and hadn't relayed the message. All in all we found them utterly useless and if it wasn't for the fact that we were so far down the road, we would have changed. Our advice is to steer clear, you have been warned!!!- 9th May 2025 (9 mo. ago)Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. I would have no hesitation in recommending them as agents.

23rd Jan 2026 (24 days ago)First introduced to Charters by Becky Chapman who explained every step thoroughly and in an easy to understand way (as this is my first experience of selling a home on the open market). I had contact from Chloe to arrange getting my property valued who was so lovely to speak to and gave me confidence they were the right people to market booked with. Cameron came to value my property, who was insightful and realistic, answering all of my no doubt silly questions. Then Lydia who showed round a number of potential buyers in a short amount of time and house was sold within a number of days. Still early stages in the process but couldn’t be happier with the service thus far!
18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Life threw quite a few curveballs our way, but Dane consistently turned those lemons into the most delicious lemonade! Dane's commitment was unwavering. He arranged and communicated countless viewings, always keeping me informed and up-to-date with feedback and responses. His professionalism was outstanding, and his communication was consistently excellent. I know I put Dane through his paces, and he earned every penny! What truly set Dane apart was his unique approach. I was genuinely touched by his hand-written letter, a personal touch you rarely see these days. And the tea bag he included? It made a truly delightful cup of tea! Honestly, Dane is the best estate agent anyone could ask for. I've already recommended him to my friends because I want them to experience the same 5-star service. He's an absolute asset to his company.
