We were looking for commercial property, we emailed then few times regards few property and nobody came back to us. We decide to go to the office to speak with somebody (We had to drive about an hour because we not local) when we arrived to the office, lady said there is nobody in the office who deals with commercial and best thing is emailed them. I got the business card and personalised email. I have emailed and got some response.
Went to Dawson's when my partner and I were looking for somewhere to rent and personally I wouldn't recommend. I saw around 5-6 properties with them over two appointments.
On the first appointment the estate agent showed up late and told me it was because he'd been buying his girlfriend vodka from Lidl. He mentioned he isn't allowed to do stuff like that in work hours but 'if no one sees' then it's fine. So not the most professional introduction. I also wasn't overly impressed with his ability to show me round a property - mostly he just unlocked the door and I would have to go in first (even with properties that were currently occupied and had people at home). We got to one flat and he quoted a monthly rent that was £100 cheaper than what it said online. I queried this but he insisted the online price was wrong. On this basis I booked a second viewing so my partner could come and see the place. He did give me a lift home as it was close by, but didn't want to pull over and I pretty much had to get out of a car that was still moving (albeit very slowly).
On my second viewing I met a different agent at the flat that I was viewing with my partner. He gave the correct price (£100 a month more expensive) which essentially meant the viewing was a waste of time as the flat was not in condition where that rent was reasonable. We then went and saw 2 more flats, one of which was about £50 a month over our maximum budget. The agent suggested that we offer a lower monthly rate and that the owner would be open to us having a cat (not a deal breaker as we didn't have one at the time, but we were keen to get one). Later that day I visited the office and was told that this owner would never allow pets or drop their prices due to the quality of their properties (which in fairness were very nicely finished) and that 'everyone' knew that. At this point I felt fairly messed around and had had enough of the conflicting messages so went to Fresh instead (which I would recommend).
Ultimately, it's not the worst customer service I've received, but I felt messed around and would add that when it comes to something as stressful as finding somewhere to live it's just not what you need.

I have tried to purchase a house twice from this office. On the first occasion initially they failed to inform the seller of a water leak spotted on a viewing that caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to the house that was perfectly liveable ended up with the plaster crumbling off the walls and the ceiling caving in)it had been noted down as “some damp!” I had an offer in on the house and which had been accepted 4 days later had a call asking if I would be interested in any of their other properties I said no I'm already buying one with you…"oh sorry that one’s been sold!" !?!
There were a few other issues prior to this massive show of incompetence and swore I would have nothing more to do with them. A few months later the perfect property came up and my heart sank when I saw it was with Peter Alan. Against my better judgement I viewed it and put an offer.
This time it wasn’t incompetence it was blatant lies one after another, the manager in particular is a dreadful man who is rude, grossly unprofessional and shouldn’t be trusted with the sale of a Wendy house. The property was a repossession so different rules apply but their interpretation of them was highly questionable. Several professionals involved in the sale eg builder, financial advisor, and another estate agents who I asked advice from) advised me not to go ahead as the general consciences was that the way it was being handled was not right, as one put it “this stinks!”
I have no experience of the other Peter Alan branches but would strongly recommend you avoid Swansea branch. Their regional manager hasn’t been very helpful either (and didn’t sound that surprised when I complained) so I will be taking it to the property ombudsman as I feel its time someone looked into their trading practices. My advice? AVOID AVOID AVOID!
We would like to thank Nicola and her team for the excellent service they gave when selling a property for us. We feel that the team but especially Nicola went above and beyond their obligations, when things got complicated during the sale. We feel that the service was second to none and we would recommend John Francis without any hesitation.

No show !!! Waited over 1 hour in a freezing empty house at the window !!! Even got there 15 mins before arranged time!!
Would never recommend! Not reliable. Gave 1 star for lady in the office, who was very pleasant.
