Decent letting agency for finding tenants however once they'd moved people into the property did nothing to keep me involved and it took me ages to even get in contact with them or get a reply to deal with problems the tenants were having.
Alright at finding the tenants terrible at managing the property once they were in. Took two weeks of myself and my tenants harassing them for me to even be able to collect my rent for one month.
Update one year later, it was a horrible mistake not ending my contract after the first year, I made the mistake of believing service would improve. Awful communication, I would receive emails and respond within half an hour then have to call them up days later to tell them I've replied and to please read my response. Even contacting and complaining to the head office just left me an empty promise that someone would get back to me later.
Also basic flaws like not putting a renewal clause in a one year tenancy, that's a pretty standard part of any letting contract. At the end of the day be prepared to do more work managing your property than they will.
Would not recommend at all for anyone looking to rent. Maybe they're better with sales

But alas! As dawn breaks on the morning of the long-awaited viewing, a phone call, as elusive as a ghost in the night, swoops in to crush your hopes like a bug beneath a boot. "Fear not," they chirp, "it's all in our systems, my dear." Translation: Lost in the void, but we've got it covered, supposedly.

My interaction with Peter Alan in Swansea was profoundly disappointing.
Their customer service is shockingly inadequate; they consistently evade calls once payment is secured. Despite an agreed-upon tenant-finding price, they haphazardly increased the charge, altered my utilities contract without consent, causing ongoing issues with energy bills. Attempts to rectify the situation were met with uncooperative responses, claiming my details weren't on record.
Additionally, rent deposits were inexplicably delayed for over 4 weeks.
Managing my property to find a tenant with Peter Alan was an overall unpleasant and frustrating experience.

Stay away! Untrustworthy agent!
We have arranged a viewing and they just cancelled the viewing with a text message before a couple of days from viewing. I informed them that I will be coming from up North East of England and bought all of my tickets and planned my journey around this viewing. So they left me in a difficult situation.

This is by far the worst estate agent we have ever experienced. Their sales team cares far too much about the quantity and forget about their service quality. Everything from them is rushed. Their manager doesn't acknowledge or action most of our emails. Their Senior Sales Progressor is very unpolite and unhelpful. Will never use them again! And guess what when you ask for your money back they act stupid and doesn’t respond back to your emails SCAMMERS

Be careful when you take an apartment from them, because you will pay and not receive the apartment, and they will not return your money to you
Guys becareful of this agency. My sister have taking an apartment from them and they told her to pay 6 months in advance and that was on November 2023 and she will move in December 2023 and she has paid the full 6 months . When the move in date comes she asked them for the keys they told her the landlord his mother is sick and he could not my cousin to be in so she asked them for her money back they agency told her it is not our problem and we can not get your money back from the Landlord .

Guys becareful of this agency. I did rent with Peter Alan in Swansea and getting the contract went well. Maintainance was recorded fast, fixes could have been better, especially when it is raining through the roof but I understand this comes down to the landlord. However the landlord still owes me money but since I returned my keys noone at Peter Alen calls back, picks up or answers emails. Which is a shame as I reminded them about the money for weeks before I moved out and they promised they will sort it out. I loves living there but since I will probably never see my money this has added a negative feeling for renting with Peter alan again....

I have given 5 stars for Peter Alan Swansea branch, the reason I have is that from the start to finish , I have found them very supportive.
I purchased a property through auction, something I needed much support with in understanding how it all worked.
I made many calls to the office asking many questions . Nothing was ever too much for the team .
Buying can be very stressful for most people, but a little harder in later years. I felt fully supported in a friendly professional manner.
I finally have completed my purchase and would like to say a very warm thank you to Jade, Gwyn, Grace and Lewis in the Swansea branch. A big thank you to Teresa and Diane handling the auction office in Cowbridge South Wales, you were awesome, nothing was too much for you .

Excellent service. We were advised to go to auction and to trust them with the process which we did and couldn't fault them they kept us informed of all viewings of which there were many. We are considering moving house and invited Peter Alan to send round a member of their team for a valuation and to discuss options. Sales manager Jade Davies came to speak to us and we were extremely impressed. Jade was professional and was able to answer all our questions, including the questions we didn't realise we needed to ask! As it was our first potential sale it was all a bit daunting but Jade was able to talk us through the whole process and put our minds at rest. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jade and Pater Alan. Top service!

I spoke to Jade at Peter Alan who was the most helpful sales manager I have ever had the pleasure of speaking to. Sadly I didn’t go with Peter Alan and ended up using Purplebricks. Big mistake. The service was absolutely awful from start to finish. (Complaint being dealt with) All I can say is, you really do get what you pay for. You want service you can trust, call the experts, Peter Alan. Highly recommend. Seriously, please avoid Purplebricks

I had been a customer of Peter Allen for more than 5 year. They have been extremely professional and doing their job at excellence. In particular, Jasmin who works in the Swansea marina branch was incredibly one of the best people I met during my stay in Swansea both personally and professionally. I rented a property from them and they were next to useless. There were no curtain poles up in a flat in city centre with a street light outside, when reported I waited a month after ringing often and all I got told was that it was still being ‘chased up’ , a phrase they use often when reporting a problem. In the end I had to put up my own and was told this may affect my bond. Not sleeping for over a month was affecting my life and job. I had a broken toilet for a week and broken hobs for two weeks that was all being ‘chased up’. I locked my keys in once and was told then and only then that I had the sole key to that flat and had to pay a locksmith to get in and was then told I couldn’t get a spare key cut. Then finally when I left I got my bond back after chasing them up for weeks. Useless.

I highly recommend using the Peter Alan branch in Swansea. Everyone that works there has been so helpful and professional in my dealings with them over the last couple of months. My girlfriend had used Peter Alan previously for mortgage advice. As she had used the company before, this meant that she has lifetime use of their mortgage advisors. I personally had never used a mortgage advisor before so I didn’t know what to expect.
We went into the branch and was introduced to Mark (the branch mortgage advisor). Mark has been so helpful in providing us with the best options tailored to what we were after. He has kept us up to date with everything as we’ve gone along and we feel he has gone above and beyond in helping us find the right mortgage for us. The professionalism and customer service has been second to none.
I am currently getting a second property with the intention of renting my previous property. As Peter Alan have been so helpful with dealing with everything so far I decided to have a talk with Tom (the lettings manager) in branch with regards to this property. Tom has been great in providing me the information that I needed and was kind enough to provide a lower rate as I have had lots of dealings with the company.
The service that I have had from the Swansea Peter Alan branch has been so good that if I need to use an estate agents again in the future, I will definitely be going with them. I would like to personally thank Mark and Tom who, quite frankly have been a pleasure to have dealings with.

Very friendly and good communication until we signed on the dotted line and everything changed. Lack of communication, delays, cancelling viewings and not informing us etc.
I would highly recommend not putting your house up for sale with Peter Alan Swansea, I will never use them again and will stay away from houses being sold by them. I was stuck in a contract with them and couldn’t get out, in the end I found my own buyer, did the viewing myself and negotiation but still had to pay Peter Alan the full £2,400.
I also upgraded to the online package for an extra £100. This is apparently refunded once the house is sold but even this is made difficult. They’re quick enough to take your money but you then need to write to Peter Alan conveyancing with proof from solicitors that the sale has gone through, even though the sale went through with Peter Alan, and your fee takes 28 days to be refunded. Absolute joke of an estate agents and will be warning everyone against them.
The house we bought was through Purple Bricks. They couldn’t do enough to support us and were in constant communication via text and or phone whenever they had the smallest of updates for us.
Lesson learnt, never use Peter Alan again!

Disaster. I moved to the dirty, disgusting flat with broken cooker and toilet flush. I had reported it and it's been completely ignored. 5 stars opinion posted by Sarah Philips is the agents opinion. Absolutely useless, lazy and rude agent.

We have rented our first - and last - holiday flat from this firm. The apartment was fine, if overpriced, however the service has been shoddy from beginning to end. While mistakes will happen in the real world in the best of businesses, this was a series of unpleasant incidences and mix-ups delivered with a take-it-or-leave it attitude at best, a heavy supply of jobs-worthiness, and from the manager, outright rudeness and a threat to "come down heavy" on my husband if we wrote this review. Very unpleasant, very toxic.

I have tried to purchase a house twice from this office. On the first occasion initially they failed to inform the seller of a water leak spotted on a viewing that caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to the house that was perfectly liveable ended up with the plaster crumbling off the walls and the ceiling caving in)it had been noted down as “some damp!” I had an offer in on the house and which had been accepted 4 days later had a call asking if I would be interested in any of their other properties I said no I'm already buying one with you…"oh sorry that one’s been sold!" !?!
There were a few other issues prior to this massive show of incompetence and swore I would have nothing more to do with them. A few months later the perfect property came up and my heart sank when I saw it was with Peter Alan. Against my better judgement I viewed it and put an offer.
This time it wasn’t incompetence it was blatant lies one after another, the manager in particular is a dreadful man who is rude, grossly unprofessional and shouldn’t be trusted with the sale of a Wendy house. The property was a repossession so different rules apply but their interpretation of them was highly questionable. Several professionals involved in the sale eg builder, financial advisor, and another estate agents who I asked advice from) advised me not to go ahead as the general consciences was that the way it was being handled was not right, as one put it “this stinks!”
I have no experience of the other Peter Alan branches but would strongly recommend you avoid Swansea branch. Their regional manager hasn’t been very helpful either (and didn’t sound that surprised when I complained) so I will be taking it to the property ombudsman as I feel its time someone looked into their trading practices. My advice? AVOID AVOID AVOID!
