Thiefs, liars, manipulators; these are just kind words to describe them. I was verbally attacked twice in the building ( shiraj tower), got followed by crackheads squatting in the building and all i got from them is ''this happens before, just call the police and exagerate it''. lift breaks and theres no way of getting to 5th floor, floodings, infestations, rats, piles of trash for weeks... I left 2 months ago and im still having problems with them. Also, they tried to steal for us saying we owed more money, wasnt until we asked for the actual bill that we realized. DO NOT RENT A FLAT FROM THEM, WE'RE STUDENTS AND ITS THE WORST DECISION IVE EVER MADE.... Read more

STAY AWAY from this place. This agency is a joke from start to end. Unprofessional at its utter most, I have never seen such dishonest and inefficient people. They don't even communicate with each other, they took ages to reply, they tried to rip us off, and have no idea of what a proper contract is. It’s been more than 2 years I am with this agency. I like the flat where I am, and the landlord is nice. However, the agency is always taking the first opportunity they see to take money. They charge for literally every thing. People working there are not really nice nor helpful, you need to insist and complain to get what you need/want.... Read more

Seriously, seriously, something needs to be done about this agency. These guys rented out a flat they managed throughout the life of our contract, the house was burgled which resulted in a loss of £10,000 worth of valuables and it followed with a number of other burglary attempts thereafter. As it was clear that the burglary wasn't a one-off incident, we consider it to be a serious threat to our security. They offered no resolution at all and even made what I interpreted to be a sarcastic comment about the traumatic incident. The faith in them was gone so I had requested for Landlord's details in a desperate attempt to seek for help, but they first rejected us providing with Landlord's details (which is a violation of tenant's basic right). I was able to get them after telling them what they were doing was illegal. I intend to take this matter to the council to ensure nobody else experiences what I went through. If you see a listing listed by these guys, run the other way.... Read more

My experience with this firm was receiving an enquiry from Patrick Mansez from Elkay Properties Limited as a potential customer for the replacement of existing staircases on five floors. His original enquiry was poorly and unprofessionally composed and as they were not able to provide a single architectural or structural tender drawing which would be the normal for this type of enquiry and politely sent a scripted email response stating “Following receipt of your recent enquiry unfortunately we will not be submitting a proposal on this occasion. Thank you for your interest in our company and hope you find a suitable contractor”. I had thought that was that and subsequently received three further emails from him which had increasing levels of negative undertones which for me is the early warning alarm bell that there was no way on earth that our firm wishes to get involved, as historically people that are difficult from the start of a project will be the same all the way through the process. Having read the other reviews regarding bad service, incompetence, poor communication and rude staff would like to add bad attitude to the list which was representative of my experience on this and hopefully only occasion. This review is based on my encounter when dealing with Patrick Manse and not necessarily representative of the firm as a whole, that said they may be following a poorly conceived business model by the sounds of the other reviews. Out of curiosity I spent a few minutes undertaking a due-diligence report of the firm prior to writing this and since there incorporation on the 25/02/2012 they have been in the position of having to discharge numerous County Court judgments which is an indicator that they do not have the ability to resolve disputes, fall out with people and lose in court. I have decided to give a two star rating which is based on the fact that they have stayed in business for this long.... Read more

awful customer service, unwillingness to help throughout our tenancy. Constantly having to chase them for small Repairs and completely inept to deal with more serious repairs. Would not send out an electrician under dangerous circumstances until I threatened legal action. Outstandingly bad.... Read more

I’ve rented a property through Elkay for the last 5 years, throughout which I’ve been very impressed with their service. Their team always promptly respond to my emails to resolve any issues or organise maintenance of the flat. Public areas in the building are clean and well looked after too. When maintenance is needed their workmen arrive ASAP; importantly I’ve found them to be reliable and good at what they do. If there was a possibility not to give any stars, I would not hesitate. Unprofessional stuff, starting from performing emails that make no sense finishing with badly coordinated customer service. Few times did not notify me about the viewing, did not know what utility companies supply the flat and some of the emails I considered to be rude and disrespectful. The deposit is just impossible to get back in full, the check in and check out procedure in Elkay does not make any sense... They charge you for damages and etc that you have nothing to do about... Basically, if you are considering to work with or use Elkay's services... just don't.... Read more

We were hesitant to rent a property with Elkay after reading some of the other reviews, but they had the perfect property for us to rent so we went ahead and have not regretted the decision. The staff at Elkay have been incredibly helpful and provided us with great professional service. There have been a couple of maintenance issues with the property in the first month. Both Giada and Mary at the Elkay office have been very attentive and arranged tradesmen to fix the problems asap and called us back to keep us updated on the progress.
