This is probably more of a glassdoor review but i want everyone to get an idea of how this company actually works! I worked with the company back in 2019 - 2021 and left due to poor management. Staff were treated so unprofessionally and it started to affect my mental health.
Recently the two owners parted ways and they reached out to me again and asked if i wanted to work with them again. They promised me things have changed and the way they work is much better.
I clearly did not last long there, considering that i am leaving this review 3 months after rejoining. I feel compelled to share my thoughts and insights. From the moment I rejoined the company, I noticed a concerning lack of transparency and ethical practices. The management seemed more focused on making quick profits rather than providing quality service to clients.
One of the most alarming aspects of this estate agency was their consistent disregard for laws and regulations. They would often cut corners and bend rules to maximize their own gains, leaving clients vulnerable and uninformed. The lack of proper documentation, misleading advertising, and hidden fees were all common occurrences.
Furthermore, there was a prevailing culture of dishonesty within the company. Agents were encouraged to use high-pressure tactics and misleading information to secure sales, often at the expense of the clients' best interests. This not only tarnished the reputation of the agency but also created an unhealthy and toxic work environment.
Another concerning aspect was the lack of professionalism and accountability. Many of my colleagues lacked the necessary qualifications and experience, which resulted in poor customer service and inadequate advice. Moreover, when faced with complaints or issues, the management would often dismiss or ignore them, leaving clients frustrated and dissatisfied.
Overall, my time at this dodgy estate agency was disheartening and has left a lasting negative impression. The lack of integrity, transparency, and professionalism made it impossible for me to continue working there. I believe that the 4.8 star rating has been achieved by either the company’s own employees or people paid to rate the company.
I regret renting with Ernest-Brooks. I thought that renting with a smaller company would mean they’d be more attentive towards their customers. However, it has proven quite the opposite. It has been impossible to get a response from Ernest-Brooks even during emergencies such as the fire alarm going off for no apparent reason, mold present in the property, boiler not working, and any maintenance work around the house.

If only zero stars was a thing. They act like they are well established etc but honestly probably the worst company ever. My Mrs worked there as a lettings Negotiator and recently had to leave due to family emergency. They ended up not paying her despite her leaving close to the end of the month of June. The insights I got of the company whilst she was working there is mind blowing and I'll probably leave that to her to disclose if she chooses to leave a review too. Our sale with Ernest Brooks was swift, professional and importantly, at the right price.
Having been on the market for a few months not too long before (with a different estate agents) I was unsure how the process would go. But Zhiqi led the charge in the sale of our flat, with a buyer found within a few weeks and market/ asking price achieved. All at Ernest brooks were knowledgeable, honest, punctual and clear with their communications to us. Helpfully we then had a sales progressor, Maglin, who facilitated the resolution of outstanding queries and got the sale over the line. Ernest brooks owes me £55 and not refunded the money as yet. The deposit has been refunded to the tenant but no refund was made to the landlord.
Ernest brooks continually chased me for commission management which was due and refused to refund me as claimed that I owed them 2 years of management which isn't true. This is because the tenant has moved out after a year but refused to refund any of money.
I would avoid this agent at all cost. There is no reason to withhold money not due to them. They refunded all the deposit to the tenant although the tenancy has not ended yet.... Read more

We've used them for a number of years for renting out a property and now a sale. They are not the cheapest but the service they provide is of a real premium standard. They are always quick, efficient, and professional in all dealings. They also have good business sense and connections. They generated far more interest on the sale of the property then another agent we had on a multi agent deal. Would recommend.... Read more

Thrilled with being referred to Ernest Brooks Estate Agents, I spoke with Elliot first and then Oliver Gates who found tenants for us, Mark Goldstein is our designated property manager and agent managing my portfolio, as an overseas landlord its not easy to just trust someone you have been referred to, but EB you can, 3 months in and they have let all 3 of our properties which we completed on new, and furnished two of them also!!!
