I cannot praise Guy Simmons of Fine & Country Oxford highly enough. The man is nothing short of a miracle worker. We had an incredibly tight deadline to purchase a property he was handling for the seller and he proved as good as his word when he promised to get the deal wrapped up in the narrow timeframe we were facing. He basically turbocharged the whole process, liaising with the various solicitors and agents in the chain and driving everything forward at a pace. He was always on hand, never failed to return a call and kept us up to speed the whole time. He even offered to drive a 7.5-ton lorry for us when it looked as though there was going to be a problem finding a firm to help us move out of our old home! What more can you ask of an estate agent? We have just completed on our house sale with the Fine and Country Oxford office. Having tried sell our house last year with 2 different Agents, we were attracted to the marketing strategy offered by Tristan. The quality of the marketing, video, brochure and other material was superb and within 1 week of going to market we had 2 open days scheduled with suitable potential buyers. We have recently purchased a house through Tristan at Fine & Country. As a buyer, the experience was excellent, as he was in regular contact throughout the transaction. Nothing was too much trouble ,and he was very proactive in ensuring the whole chain moved forwards as quickly as possible. Fine & Country's marketing is also excellent, with stunning photography, videos and brochures. The social media presence, combined with having a direct point of contact from the start, ensured that we were able to view our dream house shortly after an initial sale fell through. I don`t usually leave reviews but on this occasion I felt I simply had to because Damion Merry at F&C in Oxford deserves special praise. His help, expertise, integrity and professionalism was exemplary and thanks to him we were able to purchase our new home in Oxford. I also need to mention another very special quality which you don`t often find in Estate Agents (not the ones that I have come across anyway !) and that is how Damion looked after BOTH the seller and buyer in such a fair & considerate manner throughout the process. Guy has been by far and away the best estate agent I have ever worked with. He invested very significant personal effort into every aspect of the sale, reaching well beyond what I would normally expect an agent to be doing. That began right at the start when he linked the house to a potential buyer and it continued unabated until the sale. It is always impossible to prove a negative, but I am convinced that the way in which he took the buyer through each stage of the process prevented any dramas at all - not an easy task by any means with an inexperienced buyer and an older property with plenty of quirks. Guy talked right at the start at what using Fine and Country would mean in terms of added value, and he delivered in spades.... Read more

Good buying experience with Fine & Country, Oxford. Guy was on the case and communicated well with us throughout the process. Sales materials and use of Matterport 3-D was exceptional. Damion Merry advance-presented a home in Oxford on Facebook stunningly, and whilst we had no view that we would move, ended up buying the property before it formally hit the market. Incredibly responsive, listened to our needs, acted fast and decisively, and is a shining example of what the very best of Estate agents can do - was simply leagues above others we have experienced over the years. Has now also presented our daughter's home to the market beautifully, with a raft of offers, again, before it even hit the market pukka. Cannot recommend highly enough.... Read more

We bought a house from Guy Simmons at Fine and Country at the end of 2020. He clearly knew his stuff about the process and the local area. He was extremely helpful and very efficient, always responding to emails promptly. He went above and beyond to provide a great service that made the process really straightforward. Whilst we didn't sell our property with Tristan the house we were buying was sold through him. He worked really hard to keep us up to date and helped us find out information regarding the chain below us when we could not get any information. Tristan took the house on after a relatively lacklustre performance by another agent. The difference from the start was amazing. He was efficient and professional and showed real interest in the house and our situation, and didn't sugar coat any bad news. The video and brochure produced were excellent and the assistance we received getting the house ready was just right. Then, of course, the pandemic struck and the whole thing went quiet but Tristan kept plugging away and doing his best to keep the sale alive. He maintained a positive spirit despite some hard times we gave him and in the end it all went through well. The cost for F&C is a little higher than the other agents, but we both felt we were getting a better service and as a result and we had more confidence in them than any agent we have used in the past....
