Chancellors in Headington provided me with excellent service from day 1. Even though they did not have the property I went for their service was amazing. Providing trustworthy and professional advice. Wasim in particular went above and beyond trying to find the right property for me. Doing viewings on his day off to accommodate my work schedule. If you're looking for a trustworthy agency in Headington look no further. Truly exceptional.
Completely unacceptable and negligent level of customer service was afforded to us upon providing our administration fee. Enquiries are often me with belligerent responses which place the burden of responsibility entirely on the customer which renders their role in the process to being completely pointless. Should never have given them a penny.

Robyn was incredibly helpful throughout the process of looking for my first house. While I have now had an offer accepted via a different agency, I would definitely use Chancellors in the future to sell a property. Robyn was very accommodating of all of my requests and made what could have been a stressful process much easier.
I have written a very good review before, when I'd just rented a flat with this agency (and the reason they have so many good reviews is that they ask for them). They indeed have a good choice of properties to rent.
However, after I have informed Chancellors I need to move elsewhere because my work is being recolated (and gave 2 months notice), the agency has become a nightmare to deal with... it's been more than 3 weeks since I have moved out and they are still not letting me know when they will return the deposit!
Note - the flat was left perfectly clean - I've hired professional cleaners, and even the check-out agent confirmed that it's in a much better state than it was before (they did not bother to clean it properly before I moved in - for example, the oven was very dirty and smelly - but I had it cleaned before leaving).
They did not provide any proper reason for such delay, and basically fail to respond at all, providing only vague answers "we'll respond next week" or "you can call the landlord yourself".
I also asked several times to inform me if there's any remaining amount to pay (as my tenancy started on the 9th day of the month, and ended on the 13th), but they did not send any information about it.
There were also other issues that were not solved and it seems they will not getting solved at all... there was a leak in the property that did not get fixed and I ended up receiving very high water bills (about £200 for 7 months). There were 2 unarranged visits in the flat while I was at work (although these could also be by the landlord, not the agency).
It's seems I'll have to go to small claims court to get my money back, as it's a very hight amount and I have no intents of losing it, after having spent so much on the agency fees and professional cleaning.
At the same time I remembered to fix my review, as I don't want to be misleading other people.
We are very pleased with the service provided by the Headington team, from finding our new property to selling our own. The team is always efficient and understands the stress and uncertainty during a house sale & purchase.
Under Adrian's excellent management, all their staff are friendly, helpful & professional. Elaine is very knowledgable about properties in general and Catherine is just a joy to speak to always. Sam Lamb in the Headington office who looked after our sale did a particularly great job because it had been a protracted process due to an initial sale falling through. He always responded quickly and is highly committed to make sure all parties are well informed.
I highly recommend this agent and hope to use them again in the future.

In a volatile and uncertain market and with the added complexity of a property owner who lives overseas, one can't afford to have an agent who drops the ball. Jenny Philip and Oliver Saxton have been what I can only describe as a force of nature when it comes to representing someone selling their house. Their dedication, commitment, and attention to detail are second to none. It didn't take me any time to know that I am in good hands. I found them highly professional, extremely accessible, friendly, personable, communicative, and responsive within minutes of emailing or phone. Scott Fraser is a very reputable agency and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Very poor service
I just was about to move on the 30th of this month, and I have already paid agency fees. but due to credit check history which I checked and sent them after was all clear they decided to list the flat in the market without even given me notice in advance., so now I have no accommodation for the next period and I am planning to take a legal action towards this agency !!!

As a tenant i would not be recommending them. After all the fees I have paid to them I would expect a more speedy service from them. The other days we has a plumping issue -there was some irritating and constant noise coming out of the bathroom plumbing- and it took them a week to have someone come and have a look at it. A sleepless week that was.
