Throughout the (quick!) process the team at Chamberlain Evans supported us, ensuring we were kept up to date including on evenings and weekends and managed our expectations well. They also helped us understand each step and what to expect next, and we felt entirely in control, whilst at the same time having a safe pair of hands and a good deal of knowledge about Oxford to fall back on. We would recommend Chamberlain Evans!

He has been amazing from start to finish, explaining everything to us in an easy to understand and concise manner. Jack has gone above and beyond helping us with our mortgage and insurance. He has regularly checked in with us making sure we are up to date, don’t feel forgotten about and has helped us with chasing the other estate agents and solicitors to make sure we reached our deadline. We couldn’t have done it without him and couldn’t recommend him more! Our experience has been fantastic. Thank you Jack!

We had a rollercoaster of offers, problematic surveys and collapsing chains and we never would have got through it without the support of Jessica and the entire Amelies team. They are so kind, caring, genuine and truly helpful. In the end we sold and found our dream house and we owe that all to them. Thank you so much!

They set a fair price which was rightly priced for the market and then provided good marketing, online and in the window. They communicated often and gave feedback on each viewing. I transacted after 2 months and was very happy. Great team and best in Summertown.

15th Apr 2024 (11 days ago)AVOID. Would give them a 0 if I could. Horrendous estate agents that will hook you in with paying a no deposit option, being told I’d not even be considered to rent the property unless I paid this way even though I offered them 7 weeks of rent upfront as a deposit. They attempted to sting me with a hefty bill for cleaning (which was eventually deemed too high) / unreturned items which were returned. I managed to win the majority of my money back by paying for an adjudicator to look at the case. They then tried to lie their way out of refunding the fee which I paid for this adjudication to go ahead by stating it was non refundable which was not what my tenancy stated. They got a debt collection company to try and collect the incorrect amount owed off me which I spent months fighting to finally win my share back. Also tried to contact them several times for certain issues during my contract and heard nothing back. Called one evening to let them know I had a ceiling leak coming through the electrics in the roof and never heard back nor sent anyone to fix it before closing for the day and never getting back to me. No care for your safety. If you’re a tenant, from my own experience, I’d heavily avoid this agency. I’ve read many reviews from other tenants stating similar experiences. A totally stressful experience which I’ve never experienced with any other letting agency. Avoid at all costs.
3rd Mar 2024 (8 weeks ago)Im shocked at the level of lack professionalism disreguard of potential tennents aswell of lack of care. I arranged a viewing for saturday. Its a good job i called up to confirm and check the address. Turns out my viewing had been cancelled as property was gone. No one called me to update me. I would of been standing out side waiting in the rain and no one would of been coming. To add insult to the matter, when asked why i wasnt informed i was told there was 40-50 people viewing, they didnt have time to call so many people. The lack of care and whatever attidtude is some what concerning. So basicaly we dont care about letting you know you been cancelled. Leads me to wounder if they are the same with tennants. Chris, Heidi and the rest of the team helped us navigate through the process, going well beyond what we could have expected from them. Hands down the most caring and professional agents we ever had dealing with!
18th Mar 2024 (6 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

He has been superb in the sale of our house and went above and beyond to ensure that our sale went ahead. From the beginning to the end he has had a positive outlook. On our viewings he was bright and bubbly and ensured that the viewers were made aware of the benefits of our property,. When we eventually agreed a sale we had a long process due to the fact that the buyers held up matters, however Rhys would always be pressing to try and speed up the process and always kept us up to date and informed. At one stage our buyer went abroad, Rhys was on calls to our buyer at 1030 at night trying to deal with their queries in an attempt to push our sale through. We can’t thank Rhys enough for what he did for us. He is a real credit to his trade and we would throughly recommend using him to friends and family. Again thank you Rhys Henry
