7th Apr 2026 (11 weeks ago)Extremely disappointing experience with Scott Fraser. We attended a scheduled viewing only to find that the agent didn’t turn up. We ended up being shown around the property by the current tenant, which is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional. When this was raised, the response and apology from Liberty were minimal and lacked any real accountability. Despite this, we remained serious and submitted an offer. We were clearly told by liberty we would be contacted if there was an opportunity to improve it. That contact never came. Instead, we later found out the landlord had accepted another offer without any communication to us, despite expectations being set. The entire process was poorly handled, disorganised, and lacked even the most basic level of professionalism or courtesy. As someone who has previously worked in estate agency, it’s genuinely surprising to see this level of service still happening. Experiences like this only reinforce the negative stereotypes around the industry. Would not recommend.

When we ran into some system glitches, she quickly found solutions and handled everything manually to keep things moving. Super efficient, friendly, and professional. 5 stars all the way!

She provided helpful advice when any issues arose, dealing with matters promptly for both myself as the landlord and my tenants.

21st Mar 2026 (13 weeks ago)We called twice and on each occasion left a message so that the responsible person or team could get in touch regarding a property valuation. On both occasions call-backs were promised but never happened. It seems they can afford to turn away potential clients and business. We will now use other agents.

I felt that when meeting with the various agents recommended by get agent, he arrived prepared with information about my house and a strategy. A good and patient communicator throughout what can be a tricky project. Everyone i spoke with at the agency was like this. It’s a good firm.
- 1st Jun 2026 (19 days ago)WARNING to tenants! Haven't had to deal with such a scammy agency in years. Make sure to document every inch of the flat when you move in – e.g., they tried to charge me for screws inside the cupboard under the sink, or dust in the bathroom ventilation systems... totally ridiculous. Most of the check-out charges are made in bad faith and can be negotiated down or completely eliminated provided you have the evidence to back it up. I managed to halve their haphazard check-out charges by providing documented evidence from my check-in which exposed their bad-faith claims. Another predatory scheme to watch out for is their 'no rent deposit scheme', which they pushed onto me by threatening that the landlord wouldn't give me the property unless I paid the extra £500 or so – for a service that I received no benefit from. One year after moving out of the flat, I am still receiving charges of £100 for this ridiculous scheme. During the tenancy, I received minimal attention to serious problems such as fire doors falling off their hinges, or completely corroded stove tops ("you simply need to scrub the burners"). Would recommend all tenants to avoid this agency as much as possible.

Navigating rentals is definitely challenging so Julia’s attentiveness and positive attitude was very comforting. I was in contact with other lettings agencies and agents and I really wish they all possessed a bit of Julia’s kindness..

13th Jun 2023 (3 years ago)Hathaways took over management of our Oxford property in April this year, and so far have been a breath of fresh air - it's great to be working again with a family concern, and to feel that they care about us and our tenants. The only issue we had was that some documents were rather unclear, but they responded promptly to my feedback and updated the docs to fix this. Service has been friendly and efficient.
4th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)College and county has looked after two rental houses for me for several years and they take all the hassle out of my life. They select great tenants and give regular feedback on how the letting is progressing, they also deal efficiently with the normal household problems like drains, appliance breakages and keep me informed with me having to interrupt my day to sort them out. They have also negotiated HMO licences with the council on my behalf. I have had requests from other letting agencies but am not going to change. Thank you C&C
