We feel very lucky to have found our new home via Terry and George at Hobarts. They were patient and understanding and guided us through the whole process, and when inevitable stresses arose they were always available to talk and provided clarification and reassurance when we needed it. We never felt like just another buyer, and look forward to welcoming them to our home for a cup of tea!

They withdraw our deposit 10 years ago without our and landlords knowledge. I found iit out when i called TDS. It has been more than a month they have not replied. We are in the process of making formal complaints to Trading Standards and Haringey Council. Beware this agency landlords and tenants..

The agency sent to me a link to pay a deposit and proceed with renting a property. Unfortunately the landlord has changed her mind after the agency had received the deposit.
I have contacted the agency lot of times through emails and phone calls and they promised to return the deposit many times. However, it has been 14 months now and they haven’t taken any step and I haven’t received my deposit back.
I plan to take a legal action and I WARN EVERYONE NOT TO DEAL WITH THIS AGENCY.

Hobarts Alexandra Park Office were our local sole agents during the sale of our leasehold converted flat in the Alexandra Park area during 2022.
It turned out to be a really complicated and delayed transaction due to a previous breach in the lease problem which our solicitors seemingly 'missed' when we first purchased, with the problem arising after the sale was agreed and the buyer's mortgage approved.
Hobarts Sales Manager, (Kaush Mistry) was very aware concerning both his applicant's and client's 'needs', with Director, (Chris Davenport) similarly so.
This small company runs on customer-friendly basis, with their office staff being efficient and helpful whenever I/my wife needed to liaise.
Thus, relative to our experience with Hobarts, we have no reservations in recommending this Estate Agency to buyers and sellers.

Awful and unprofessional estate agents. They deal with greedy and unscrupulous landlords. I found a house at 29 Quernmore Road, through Hobarts, the landlord Francine Williams. I've just moved out of the property and the landlady is trying to keep over a £1000 of my deposit. She's claiming £700 because I didn't cut the gras in the garden properly ( it wasn't even my responsibility but hers), about £700 for wear and tear of the bedroom wall and the carpet. She appeared nice and sweet when I moved in, leaving flowers and a welcome card but the real side has come out now, greedy and exploitative.It's pretty disgusting and shameful. The DPS has thankfully decided not to award her the money and i’m grateful but be cautious dealing with them.

I used Hobarts as my lettings agency for a number of years, and I continuously got wrong invoices sent to me that I had to correct myself and tenancy renewal agreements full of mistakes. For the last one I had to dictate the one sentence wording for a simple and straight forward renewal myself but was of course charged the full price. I’m now not a Hobarts customer anymore but I still get invoices from them that have been settled months ago. Their accounting system is a complete shambles! Stay away if you want a professional estate agent.

I used Hobarts to find a new tenant for our flat in Stroud Green. After a long tenancy, the flat needed quite a bit of work and Sue was very helpful in prioritising the things that would add most value. She also put us in touch with some great contractors and provided keys to whoever was coming to work at the flat when we weren’t able to be there. Once the work was done Sue and team did several viewings and we secured new tenants shortly after at around the level of rent that we’d hoped to achieve. Very happy with the service provided.

We were selling our much loved flat to move abroad on a very tight timeline. Terry said at our first meeting, that he thought it would be done and dusted before our flight and, of course, I did not really believe him. As it turned out, Sophie found the perfect buyers for the flat and we got the call to say it had completed while waiting in the queue to board the plane. Truly amazing!! Sophie was great throughout the process and knew when and how much heat to apply to ensure everything went smoothly. Highly recommended!!

If you are looking to rent using Hobarts, save your energy and go with a more renter-friendly estate agents. As a private renting tenant, Hobarts have made the end of tenancy process incredibly difficult.
The individual we are currently dealing with has been lazy and unprofessional throughout the process, and our correspondance with them whilst negotiating our tenancy deposit has been some of the worst communication I have ever had in my time of renting.

A lot of sales and purchases these days seem to be trickier than I remember from our last move many years ago, and our recent move threw up a number of issues that needed perseverance and expertise to help resolve. I was a tenant with Hobarts for 2yrs. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. We had a difficult landlord, which meant required repairs took a long time to get done and they also tried to withhold our deposit without reason at the end of the tenancy. Hobarts dealt with this very well and fairly. They ensured we received our full deposit back, as we had maintained the flat in the same condition as when we had moved in.
