We used this company to sell our house. The first lot of photos were awful. They did admit this but that wasn’t until I mentioned it. We eventually got a buyer but we were told they wanted to complete because of the tax reduction. We paid to move into a caravan in cornwall(where we were moving too). We forked out over a thousand pounds for accommodation that was not needed.The sale did not go through until Jan.this year. They never contacted us with information about our sale we done all the work. They were more into the buyers of our house. Since we have moved we have not heard from them at all. Not even a card to say congratulation . Not even a phone call. We were even asked to exchange even tho our house was not complete.We could of ended up in big trouble if we had done this. So I would not recommend them to anyone.Stay away very unproffessional... Read more

I wasted my time going to see a house originally advertised on their website. On the way to the viewing they phoned me to saying that an offer had been accepted on it and I wouldn't be able to view but they coincidentally had a house in the same road that they would like to show me. I liked this house very much and phoned them a couple of days later to arrange a second viewing of it. Unfortunately I was not well and could not make that viewing, however I called them back to rebook this viewing and am still waiting for that to be arranged ! Rather strange also as house is not advertised on any website That was over 3 weeks ago and I still have not been back there. All in all totally unprofessional. Avoid if you are a buyer.... I recently sold my home in RC through Harris Parkes and Drake. On the whole it was a positive experience; they ensured the photos brought the house’s best features to the fore, kept me informed of potential viewings and once an offer was in place they pushed and nudged all the involved parties (including me!) to ensure the sale progressed as quickly as reasonably possible in these strange times. I do have a few gripes: - I felt the initial listing text was rather lacklustre and incomplete and had too many errors. It would appear there was a fair bit of cutting and pasting from other listings that was then not checked for accuracy. I was told that 80% of the people don’t read the text and just look at the photos but my point of view is that if it’s there it ought to be correct. - I was asked to allow a viewing with about 15 seconds notice and they got a bit of the hump when I said no. There's flexible and then there's ridiculous - 15 second's notice falls in the ridiculous category to me. The viewing was rescheduled for the next day and, with some irony, that couple were the ultimate buyers. - it transpired that the couple who purchased the house were selling their property through HP&D and they were in danger of losing their buyer. I was pressured by HP&D to accept some £30K less than the asking price. It seemed to me that when HPD realised my sale going through would ensure another sale on their books went through as well they became all too transparent that they had *their* best interests at heart, not mine. This shouldn’t come as a surprise but it showed a different side of HPD. No longer was it “oh, we’ll get you the best price and the quickest sale as only we can since we know RC better than anyone” to “well, we don’t know when the next viewer will come along and what their offer might be and we don’t know what the market will do later this year and and and…’ In the end we settled on £10K less. All that said I would use them again but it is definitely a case of seller (and buyer) beware. They can be a bit pushy and they can be a bit arrogant which is all good and fine when it's to your benefit but may come as an unwanted surprise when it's applied in your direction. For background: from listing to accepted offer took 22 days and from offer to completion took 3 months and 10 days. Neither buyer nor seller had a chain (the buyer went into a rental property after their house was sold.)... Read more
