Disgusting the way they treat people. My parents paid a holding fee, completed all the relevant paperwork, told when they were getting the keys only to be told they had rented it to someone else. The manager, Gareth, who offered them the property, then refused to speak to them. No explanation. No apology. According to their staff, this happens all the time. Stay clear of Hunters Blackpool

Extremely professional lettings agency. As a landlord, one of my main priorities was having one or two contacts I could reach immediately when managing a block of flats. Hunters have a great team behind them who are very responsive and helpful at every turn.
We've just managed to rid ourselves of what we can only describe as a nightmare tenant - misleading us from the start, making false call outs for tradesman, purposefully trying to turn on the communal utilities (paid by myself) 24/7 and incredibly unco-operative when trying to organise viewings for the next tenancy.
When she first moved in, I turned up to do some communal maintenance, and wanted to notify the tenants just in case they wondered what I was doing - the next day I get a call from Hunters saying I had caused her mental distress - gives you an idea on who we were dealing with - absolute nightmare! Hunters have a team in place who are very patient with these sort of people, and thankfully we no longer have to deal with them.

Used to use a different letting agent and was unhappy with the service, so I moved to Hunters earlier this year. They manage the rental of 3 of my properties, and I have been very satisfied with the service. All issues have been dealt with swiftly, and I have been kept updated throughout. Very easy to reach, and Paul and Gareth have both responded to emails out of office hours.

Really friendly staff with a personal touch from the Directors and kept me updated at every step of the way. They answered all my questions and got issues with boiler sorted in double quick time! More recently I had a tenant issue and found Director Gareth Welsh to be incredibly knowledgeable around legalities and process for dealing with the issue. Very friendly team with excellent service and value for money!

EDIT: extremely rude and unproffesional director Gareth.
My situation has changed and I've "inherited" an assistant dog (thanks God because I was struggling!).
Zero empathy from staff, talking to me like I'm a 3 year old with zero understanding to the contract, nor the law.
Also landlord shows up at the premises without notice to me nor agency and wants to come in the flat.
Stressful and disgusting! No professionalism whatsoever.

Once moved in, agents were always helpful with any queries and questions! Best agency I've rented from so far ??????????

In the 5 months the sale took to complete.. we only received one call from the agent..right at the end before completion. I found Paul to be abrupt with very little customer service skills.
A break in at our vacant property was mentioned by the buyers solicitor and a broken window just before completion.
Nothing mentioned by Hunters.

I find this company very unreliable and unprofessional. They never reply to their emails or return messages on their voice mail. Best to totally avoid. And the so-called manager (lol) has a serious (I don't care) attitude. I would give no stars if I could. They are also quite discriminatory towards disabled people who may be on UC. They are supposed to welcome all types of people. As long as the rent is paid on time each month it should not matter whether a tenant is on any benefits or in a job. This company should stop discriminating against people. But there are other letting agencies on Highfield Road that also have a very discriminatory attitude towards any one on benefits. This company and staff should hang their heads in shame. Best not to do any business with them.

Give this Estate Agents a miss. Firstly the first buyer pulled out and they didn't even notify us. Secondly, Paul Sherwood that works there is a very rude person, he does not accept or return your calls and when I phoned him on my mobile to catch him out he immediately blocked me after the call. Our property went under offer immediately then it took nearly two years for the sale to be finalised. We have only just found out from our solicitors that the final buyer was someone we had never heard of. The Estate Agents do not tell you the truth and have buyers in mind that they prefer and make it their job to ensure they sell to who they want to sell to. Do NOT trust them at all.

I went here at a bad time in my life as I needed to was made to feel looked down on the dark haired plump lady made me feel judged b4 I even spoke I ask if they had any flats they could recommend to me was told no as I have a dog 2 days later that same week I found a flat online that accepts dogs went to view n one of the other women who was there that day from the same office showed up to show me around I felt like saying I thought u had no flats available for me this made me feel like as I had left that day they had just thrown my application forms in the bin not nice women at all need to go on a customer service course it's not like I was dressed scruffy or anything but I wasn't wearing makeup MAYBE THAT WAS WHY as u can tell by just looking at some of then u u can tell they love there makeup lol

Paul handled the sale of my property and did a great job but I didn't truly see the quality of Hunters until I started looking for my next property. Paul was the only estate agent that could actually answer all my questions about the property I was viewing whilst I was viewing it. If i was viewing a property with other estate agents, I never got the same knowledge and attention to detail. Made me really pleased we'd use them to sell our own property!

Phoned the out of hours number to cancel a viewing at the last minute. The out of hours service was very professional. However, we then received a call from an estate agent who would’ve been showing us around the house in question. I might add that the reason for the cancellation is to take our son to hospital after finding out he’d been unwell at the child minders. The estate agent was extremely rude to my partner and displayed a total lack of professionalism.
We’d had Hunters round to value our house too. The agent showed up late, printed off pictures from last time (we bought it from them) and barely looked round before providing a valuation. He must’ve been there for a grand total of about five minutes. We found him to be very arrogant, rude and again, unprofessional.

I had been with a different agent, and was disappointed with their service and changed to Hunters, Highfield Road. I had not realised they were part of a national franchise, and I did get viewings from people moving to Blackpool from various different areas, as well as plenty from people local to the house. I always got feedback without having to chase, and if I needed to ask anything they always took the time to speak to me. Lindsay the sales progressor did an amazing job as completion was not at all straight forward. Not only did they sell my house, they also found me a really good home to move to which will give me just the right amount of work to do! So thank you Paul, Gareth and the team!
