What an unprofessional company. We arrived home today to see one of their signs stuck up in our front garden which says our property is to let.
Our property certainly is not to let, we own the property and have never been interested in letting it out so can you come and remove your sign immediately and also repair the hole that would have been created in the soil by inserting your sign?

I am unhappy with Kerr’s unprofessional way of dealing with the public and the way it communicates prices.
I live in a building managed by Kerr. Recently I was in need of an extra key to the building which can only be copied by Kerr.
In the market, a key like this costs between £5 to £10. Kerr charged £60.
I thought this was too expensive (6 to 12 times the market price for a key, almost half the price of an Oasis concert ticket for a small key) and complained via e-mail. After no response and a second e-mail, I received a call from a Kerr employee.
I wanted to understand the pricing and find ways to help lower this cost and bring it closer to reasonable market prices, but was told the price was final.
I suggested this was unfair, as Kerr was in a position to charge whatever price it wanted, because it has the sole right to the copies.
This is where things got very unprofessional. The Kerr employee said twice that I was “just a tenant” and said I was calling him “cheap” - something I never said or even implied. If anything, I was complaining the opposite - that services are too expensive.
My thoughts are:
1. Kerr needs to be more professional in dealing with the public. Perhaps some training for its employees in talking to the public.
2. The Kerr employee should be working towards de-escalating the situation, not the opposite. I acknowledge the company does have costs that make the key a little more expensive than the market rate, but that must be put across politely, objectively and professionally. At some point, I was the one trying to de-escalate matters, when it should have been the opposite.
3. Kerr can be more transparent about prices from the start. When communicating an unusual price, it could put a disclaimer about why some prices are higher than normally expected. Or better yet: have a published list of prices on the website.
4. The explanation about the pricing is still unsatisfactory. Basically the company is charging highly-skilled hours for a very basic service. Surely there is a middle ground to be found.
I understand this is a very small issue for a property company like Kerr, used in dealing with transactions worth thousands. But attention to detail - even in small transactions - is what sets good companies apart from the rest.
It is not right to call someone “just a tenant”. I am not just a tenant. I am a person. A person who is concerned about paying fair market prices. This is something a property company like Kerr should understand and empathize with, as it is also its core business.

As a prospective tenant, Kerr & Co came across fairly pushy when it came to negotiating.
Eventually we decided not to proceed with a property due to a change in personal circumstances and while legal, they willfully kept the £700 holding deposit despite letting them know we would not be proceeding the next working day.
It's a shame to see another company only driven by money and not serving prospective clients and landlords alike.

If there would be 0 star I would give it! We had an appoinment on 25th Saturday on 14:15 but when we were there , no body was there! And this appoinment was given 7 people in same time! Everyone was there and we could not reach Daniel. We went agency however they said he did not work today! It is ridiculous . This agency does not know what is corporate, ethic and any respect! I would complain this issue with director or who ever responsible! Never recommend!!!
Regarding on response I received; I appreciate your colleague was off, however he gave 7 people same time at 14:15 and we were all there, so the thing you said is not right. we were there and your colleague was not there and we called your agency as well (you can check you records). Also your agency is opposite of the flat so we come to agency as well and your let team called Robert (please check with them as well). and please after any negative comment came, please try to understand and fix the issue instead of blaming and produce excuse, it is not right and ethic. If you are doing this business for 40 years , you should know that. Tenant or landlord availability is of course prior however as an agency it is your duty and responsibility to arrange it and give the appoinment for people.
PS: I try to call from mentioned number today but I could not. If you are interested in customer satisfaction and want to improve your business please look at negative comment as well. Have a good day.

I am based overseas and bought a flat 10 years ago from Kerr and Co which since has been let out through their excellent lettings team (led by the very experienced Andrew Teague). Kerr and Co are a family run business and are superior to other estate agents: they consistently provide a very personal, honest down-to-earth service, are extremely responsive, their fees are extremely reasonable and there are no hidden extras. They’ve always provided excellent advice, they use excellent contractors which are usually family-run (a huge plus), they always find reliable good tenants and are always a phone call away if I have any problems. Andrew Teague and his team have always gone the extra mile to help me out whenever I have any emergencies even though I only use their let-only service-now that is service! My latest let (a tenant who signed for a 3rd year) was handled by David Odzakovic who is super-efficient, extremely knowledgeable and incredibly helpful and professional – the process was unbelievably smooth and trauma-free for me. Thank you, David and Kerr and Co. I would have chosen no stars, however an option not available. We booked an appointment to view a property on the same day it was posted for Friday. On the date of viewing, and subsequent acceptance that we found the perfect flat, called the agent immediately afterwards accepting to proceed with the tenancy. I was asked to complete a form which was filled and returned within the hour. Friday night we were totally convinced that we finally found the perfect flat. Saturday morning we received an email quite bluntly saying the flat had 5 other offers and ours was refused Quite insulting email response. I am wondering whether this property was advertised at a very competitive price, with the sole intention to receive bids from other viewers above asking price. Regardless of their motive, totally unacceptable and would not recommend this agency or the agent who showed us the flat to anyone

Twice we put an offer on a flat with Kerr & Co. The first time we were told there were two offers and the landlord had chosen the other. We were advised to be quick and put an offer on the second one because we hadn’t been quick enough the first time. We were led to believe there was no reason why the landlord wouldn’t accept us. Nobody replied to our making an offer at all, and when we asked for an update two days later we received a very blunt, rude reply saying it was a no, with absolutely no explanation. Lazy and uncaring.

Where do I start. Arranged a viewing for a house two days beforehand. It was booked for 12pm, I drove 4 hours from home and woke up at 6am to attend the viewing. I received an email at 11:30am saying the viewing was cancelled and there was nothing that could be done. Appalling service, try to avoid if possible!

I am a first time buyer and made an offer to a flat they were advertising right before the outbreak. In my opinion they are pushy sales guys, that did not hesitate to minimize the covid19 uncertainty as well as renovation efforts, in order to make a sale!

Kept us updated through a very frustrating and prolonged sale which lasted almost 7 months from accepting an offer to completion. Estate agents are very knowledgable especially Robert with years of experience at the same firm. The best estate agent for sure in the Sheperds Bush and Goldhawk Road area and would highly recommend.

I met with Mrs Ewelina the other day (viewed property on behalf of my father)
She was exceptionally pleasant well dressed and knew exactly what I wanted.
This young lady went above and beyond to help.
Given me all the information I needed so I didn’t need to call and ask for more information.
Customer service was outstanding there was no pressure at all!!
I have called the office a couple of times the staff have been understanding and listened.
No issues at all the this estate agents. Highly recommend Ewelina at Kerr & co.

We saw their board late one evening and went on line to request a viewing. This was replied to the next day by David and we were viewing within 36 hours, with Guy. We offered on the property the next day as did 5 others. The process of increased offers was transparent, with a clear 24-hour deadline. We were lucky enough to be the highest increased offer and David phoned us immediately with the good news. Additional access, to show architect and our two sons, was given easily and promptly. The whole sales-progressing was handled expertly by Kerrs. An additional bonus was the removal of the SOLD board within days of our completion! Unheard of in our experience. We are delighted to highly recommend this privately-run agency. Thank you David and Chris.

Very poor service after you sign the contract.
They delay to allocate resources, they propose works that they are not relevant to the problem (we were asked to provide access for a damp proof course when this was not needed - I am an engineer and I have found the correct solution saving the owner some thousands of pounds)
1. Leak in the basement which took them almost a week to send somebody 2. Damp in the basement last year and up to now the decoration hasn't finished. They wanted to charge you a damp proof course which is time consuming and really expensive while we didn't need one. It was me who found the solution as I am an engineer 3. Leak from the roof. I noticed a leak in the area between the two veluxes almost at the very beginning, they sent someone quick enough and they said that there were some leaves blocking the downpipe. I raised my concerns back then but this was in vain. Last week the roofer came and I showed him the exact problem as there is a patch on the roof which wasn't fitted correctly.
There are many more problems to mention (apart from their behaviour which is not professional and abrupt) but the main problem is the blinds. We are now in the 10th week with no blinds which means: 1. no privacy 2. the room turns into a green house 3. we cannot stay in the lounge before 11.00 as the sun directs the rays directly inside the flat 4. the rays goes directly on the furniture, tv etc which might damage them 5. I have a dog and the other day was almost 32 degrees in the flat
They blame the 10 weeks of delay in the 5 days delay in the rent payment which is a very cheap excuse

Very rude! We had a viewing booked at 10:45, no one showed up and when we called, they yelled at us that we should wait and stop bothering them. We left immediately. Very bad service!

Went to a viewing and wanted to book a second one for the next day to show my partner but the female agent didn’t want to write it in her diary she had on her even though I offered her a pen as she didn’t have her one just saying she’ll remember tomorrow and the time in head. The next day arrives so I turn up at the property but there’s no sign of her so ring the office to be told that it’s already been let and should’ve been contacted and that the agent is on her day off. Very unprofessional as it was a total waste of my journey and day. A simple text or phone call letting me know an offer had been put through the day before would’ve been appreciated. Next time I suggest making use of a pen or cancelling viewings if properties go off the market not wasting people’s time.

They eventually book viewings, then let the place to someone that magically gets viewings without waiting 2 days, then don't tell you they've cancelled the viewing. But that's ok, since they aren't wasting any of their own time.
