Landlords be aware! It all started off well and then there was a huge lack of communication! My tenant ended up moving out without my knowledge. The last email I received from the agency was that it new contract was sorted. Now I have an unnecessary vacancy.
They also don't seem to do any property inspections as mould started growing without anyone passing on the concerns of the tenant. Again no communication!
I am definitely going to avoid these guys in the future!

So I wan't directly their client.
But If i look at how proactive they were, chasing me for viewings, asking for updates and also helping me chasing my conveyor etc. I think they are a solid partner to trust in assisting you with selling property.
I found that they are reachable by phone and providing prompt replies via email. Even if your contact wasn't available passing on messages and getting back to me was never too much to ask.

West Kensington branch absolutely appalling run by the most unprofessional man. Firstly didn’t inform me at the viewing or anytime afterwards that next door would soon become a complete building site from top to bottom, nor that there was a railway line behind the house. He called me several times to increase the asking price that I had offered. I should have walked away then. We gave notice to leave early due to finding out about the planned building works and the crazy neighbour at the top of the house and paid a hefty fee, despite the fact they had no success with showing and re-letting the flat by the Agent, I myself found suitable tenants. No replies to my emails requesting invoices or a breakdown of the early termination fees I was paying as stated in The Tenancy Act. Once we moved out I did not expect the agent to become uncontactable, gone away to Serbia according to the Landlord, and could not be contacted for weeks on end. His colleagues were unable to help finalise accounts of the money due to be returned after we paid our rent upfront. Nearly four weeks after moving out the agent finally contacted me and sent me correspondence with incorrect sums leading the landlord to chance requesting this miscalculation back. Nearly 6 weeks later and I still haven’t received my full deposit back as agreed. The agent is untrustworthy as is his client who he’s been working with for 15 years. Andreja the agent Is deceitful, dishonest, unregulated, disgusting attitude, money grabbing, the list goes on. Use at your peril. Avoid at all costs!

AGRESSIVE, HIGH PRESSURE & DIRTY SALES TACTICS.
Estate agent Gareth refused to put any offers to vendors without us divulging all financial information their in-house financial advisor. The sales manager Mark also reinforced this policy “for a quick sale”, so we reluctantly obliged.
They then created a ‘bidding war’, supposedly with 3+ other bidders - conveniently up to the absolute maximum they know we could afford.
They would call us multiple times per day, leaving urgent voicemails pressuring us to increase our bid ASAP, despite us repeatedly saying we could not take calls when working but could respond promptly to emails.
Then on a second property we bid on, it was the same again - aggressive high pressure sales tactics, with all inside information re our finances.
Barnard Marcus made every step incredibly stressful for the buyer - 5+ calls a day, multiple voicemails, no time to discuss increased bid with partner/ family/ financial advisors etc, and everything had to be confirmed that morning/ afternoon/ by end of day, or else I’d have another 5 urgent voicemails.
Thankfully all offers with Barnard Marcus eventually fell though, & we bought our dream property via another estate agent who were fantastic!
Would never deal with Barnard Marcus again!

I was looking to sell my property in west London and was contacted by Mark following a sales request through an online portal. To be honest, Barnard Marcus were probably the last people to contact me so I had already spoken with a number of other estate agents from the area. I also had some knowledge of the property market in the area having set up and managed property websites in the area some years back. The gulf in professionalism, knowledge, candour and responsiveness was unbelievable. I won't mention names but whilst some of the other agents had good area knowledge, it didn't take too many questions to realise they knew very little about the sector and seemed to be targeted on simply getting a property 'on their books' with unrealistic valuations and no real interest in listening to my particular circumstances as an overseas owner with the property already let. Mark on the other hand, whilst more across the locale was also immensely knowledgeable and realistic around the valuation and listened to my circumstances. He also backed all of this up by proactively gaining access to the property to provide an informed appraisal, all the while keeping me updated as to his efforts. As an overseas owner, this was crucial to me and his efforts genuinely appreciated. What's more, once the appraisal was complete and my plan A showing a few issues, we agreed on a couple of contingency plans in order to keep my options open to get the best outcome for me. That, in a nutshell, is the difference between Mark and his team at Barnard Marcus west Kensington compared to the other agents I have dealt with in the area. I genuinely feel that Mark is looking out for my interests as opposed to just hitting a target. By all means talk to other estate agents if you are looking to sell your property in west London. Then talk to Barnard Marcus and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. Great work to Mark and his team and I look forward to our continued relationship.

Sorry found the staff aggressive. I called to enquire about a flat I saw advertised with a board. I was asked several questions. when I asked if I could have some details about my enquiry I got passed to the manager who slightly was slightly better but still not a good customer experience. After several bump starts with two other Estate Agent firms we gave Barnard Marcus a go. I can honestly say they were absolutely brilliant from day one. Our estate agent, Darren Hopcroft, did everything humanly possible to finally get our deal over the line and we were delighted to get our sale done. Poor letting agent.
Let a flat which wasn’t the best (we knew that going in) but arrived to find it filthy despite professional cleaning assured. Plus the broken items on viewing (blinds) which we were told would be replaced before arrival were still in the property.
They got changed after a month of chasing but they used a dodgy builder who didn’t know how to screw in to concrete, one set fell out in a day. Despite chasing for 11 further months of tenancy they were never fixed.
Worst experience was when our water pump broke, without which we had no water pressure at all so unable to have showers, could only wash at work/with hands in downstairs sink. Took 3 weeks for the agent to sort despite us being patient at first it got ridiculous.
To top it all off they performed the classic estate agent trick and at the end attempted to take a substantial amount of money off of our deposit, despite us leaving the property in a much better condition then we found it.
Wouldn’t recommend.

Jade is a fantastic member of the team, always responsive, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. To be honest, she has been the only real positive of working with this office, as I've had particularly bad experiences with one of the senior managers, who is shockingly abrupt and rude, the classic salesman out for himself. If you do see something you like here, specifically request to work with Jade and you will have a great experience.

I have put my property on the market with Barnard Marcus West Kensington and dealt with Darren Hopcroft and Jade Gill who have been extremely efficient, unfailingly courteous and professional without being 'pushy'. They have made and kept appointments, always giving good notice of viewings, treated the property very well indeed at viewings and given me excellent, thorough, supportive and quick feedback. The property had been on the market for only two weeks when an acceptable offer was received after around 12 viewings. I cannot praise the Barnard Marcus staff enough for their work and look forward to their continuing professionalism and efficiency in the next stages of the process. Attention to all the landlords, Branch Letting manager Andreja was dealing with one of our property, signed up for 1 year contrac in later July. They collected 6 months rent in advance, they used all sort excuses to keep the rent. I.e. Gas certificate etc, when all this were sorted out, they still didn't pay the rent to me. I was told the rent was paid into someone account, who was linked to this property previously. They asked me to chase up the rent from this person. Honest how can I take care of the mistake they made.
After numerous calls, email and text, I finally got hold this person, he said he would check his bank account, if it is true, he will also only return the rent to the agent. I tried to contact them to tell them that he won't transfer the payment to me, then I heard nothing back from them, no one answer my calls, texts and emails.
For 3 months now, I am extremely exhausted, nothing is from them.

I would like to leave a recommendation about using Barnard Marcus Letting Agent. I am a commercial landlord and in the past never used an agent, the market was becoming more difficult to find the right tenant so I thought I would use an agent. I am glad I chose Barnard Marcus they have been very helpful and quick to find me the right tenants for my properties and I am very satisfied with the service provided.
Also I would say to other landlords it is not worth cutting corners because in the end it does not save you money if your property is empty for a long time by trying to do it yourself and also finding good tenants that take care of your property is equally important.
