Tamara, of Regent Property, has been immensely helpful over the past 4 weeks regarding a leak in bathroom of the property my parents own at Kidbrook, it caused some disruptions for the tenants during the hottest week of the year. Tamara quickly arranged contractors to do inspections and repairs works, as well as an application of reimbursement to the insurer, which was accepted and greatly reduced the cost. Very unprofessional service. And always long delays in getting things sorted. Would avoid them at all cost as it'll actually save you money . Worst agency I've ever dealt with , customer service is not great , communication is bad and efficiency is bad . Not a great experience having to deal with this agency , felt like I was doing all the work and yet it should be them . Thank God fees were banned as they were charging an arm and a leg in fees and unfortunately had to coff up the fees because it was the last property we wanted available .. Avoid for tenants and landlords at all costs. Rented a property but the problems began when we moved it. Inventory was slap dash and clearly a copy and paste of an old inventory. Items that were no where to be seen were included along with basically everything listed as good condition despite things being clearly broken ( a headboard for a bed had a leg snapped off and apparently that passes as good condition). We went back and forward and asked for things to be updated and sent pictures and detailed notes through. They kept re-sending the exact same agreement with none of the changes. Eventually they stopped responding and we gave up in February (we moved in the previous November). Of course, at the end of the tenancy after professionally cleaning everything and leaving it in a better condition than we found it they wanted money for everything. Even asking for money for things that were not there when we moved in or listed as broken on the inventory report. We disputed the claim and on the grounds that we never signed an inventory report they got absolutely nothing. A warning for tenants to avoid but landlords to give these clowns a miss too. They are extremely unresponsive and unprofessional and whilst we did not damage the property or any contents, had we done so Regent would have been unable to recover any money to compensate the landlords. All because they couldn't reply to an email and get an inventory report updated that we could sign... Avoid!... Read more

Regent never stops to amaze me, obviously with its poor degree of empathy towards the renters and an equally poor management. The agency seriously needs an overhaul. Let me detail in brief what I've been experiencing over the last 18 months since I rented from this awful agency: 1. First night of agreement - The lock on the door to the porch (ground floor flat) is found broken. A new guy, in a new city didn't have many options to explore at 1 AM in the night except calling for a locksmith to feel secure. To my amusement, the building manager from Regent blamed me for the broken lock, only to be shamed by her fellow agent who admitted to the lock being broken even before I moved in. I had to cough up 250 bucks to pay in part for the repair. Next, 2. 6 months into the letting agreement, I'm informed of a new utility bill - Welcome Energy which I suppose is a scam (they tweak their billing systems as per instructions received from building management - partners in crime & extorting money from poor renters). When I ask for access to only view the meter ton track my usage, I'm told it is not possible and I'll have to believe their word of mouth (both Regent and WE). Upon much insistence, WE sends me some shabby excel with readings. But who can certify it? More horror - this utility company has tweaked the billing system on request of a building management company to charge the renters twice for standing charge. Having emailed/phoned Regent innumerable times, but they don't bother. 3. Lock bolts left behind on the washing machine - Due to lock bolts still sitting (new machine) and not removed by the maintenance staff of Regent, the machine would vibrate violently, jump around to our horror. When the Regent staff visit to check on the machine, they were more than incompetent to figure out the root cause of the issue. The problem finally got solved when the manufacturer came in to check for the issue. With a few months to go on the tenancy, I'm not sure what next awaits me. However, it is my sincere request to all the potential renters to please step forward with outmost regards for your money when getting into an agreement with this agency. I can only warn you and you must learn from my experience. They are bunch of inexperienced agents unfortunately with a license to operate. Legal/concerned authorities should take note of this and audit them immediately.... Read more

If you are a tenant, avoid. They couldn’t care less about tenants, they only care about landlords. They are rude and disorganised. They rarely reply to emails with useful information and they never took actions to fix things in our flat. It took so long to have our deposit back, coming back with excuses of the system not working (they use Docusign), and they messed up with the inventory too. We had to challenge so many things, even light bulbs that were not in working order before we moved in, and similar. If you are a landlord you should also avoid, ideally you don’t want your tenants to have such a bad experience. I also had a horrible experience with Alastair. He doesn’t understand you and your needs, he doesn’t care, he is cold, inexperienced, and doesn’t represent you with the landlord. This is the worst agency I’ve ever interacted with. Avoid.... I had the worst customer service with the letting agent (Katarina). With 5 days before our move, she starts with the reminders about “paying the renaming” I kindly let the agent know the day I was cancelling. Then she sends a couple of more emails with regards of standing orders, that is was crucial and important for our move, as if implying that we won’t be paying the rent on time. She then sends an email that she needs to verify our documents via FaceTime, to which I was not comfortable with, I sent her an email letting her know that I was very uncomfortable with the matter (I have already clear my checks, they have all my information), clearly the agent lacks empathy as she completely dismissed my feelings and instead of trying to find another solution to which she could do such check she didn’t, and kind of threatens me with “if this is not complete you can’t move to the new property” at that point I asked her that I needed to see if that was part of the law, she sent me a document, where it says that due to the corona virus crisis this checks could be done via phone. But, never said it was mandatory. Because I was renting with my friend I decided to go ahead as this will not only affected me but my friend respectively. We agreed on a day and time, to which of course She was late, and her colleague had to do the “checks” now lack of professionalism. I think I had received more than 20 emails from this agent, without useful information, to the point that I just stopped looking at them as I felt she was wasting my time. Now, we have moved in to a property with lots of damages, without a single instruction. I think if the agent would have done her job properly she would have at least checked that the property was in full conditions for us to move, rather than to nagged us. I think in life we choose how to come across, how we use our linguistic skills so we get a portrait of ourselves. Clearly this agent chose the light of “unprofessional with lack of empathy”.... Please avoid this agency for your life. They ignored most of my email and they will. Also, they lied a lot, they don’t keep their promise. They changed move-in date twice when I move in date. They didn't give the key when I move in. So I have to pay an additional fee to Van. To remove all trash it takes for a moth. There are so many Trash in the property and damaged all furniture. It's impossible to live in this property. We cleaned it.... Even Ben and Sam came to check my house condition. Ben said, "I can not live in this property." Although we had the meeting a lot, those issues haven't solved for so long time.  Currently(9/2018-still now), I am doing the compensation process.... Read more

I had lots of issues earlier with Regent Property Management. Staff were not responsive, kept changing managers till the extend I don't know who I am supposed to be talking to. and then there was a total change few months ago with the new Portfolio Manager Tara Charles. She is very responsive and prompt in her work. I have had quite a long association with Regent Property, as they managed a tenanted apartment for me over a number of years. It was a successful association, and I was always pleased with the professional and courteous dealings I had with the company. After retiring, I decided to sell the apartment, and the logical course of action seemed to be to keep the matter in-house, by asking Regent to conduct the sale. It was at this point I was introduced to Allison Steele, the head of sales at Regent, and it quickly became clear I was in capable hands. Allison's knowledge of the London market was obvious to me immediately, and she soon had the property valued and for sale at a realistic level in a difficult market. After a few encouraging, but ultimately unsuccessful, viewings, she found a buyer and an acceptable price was negotiated. I always feel that most professionals will do a reasonable job when things go smoothly, but the measure of their ability comes when things are more difficult. Such was the case here. During the course of conveyancing, the buyer's solicitor highlighted a problem with the lease, and this had to be resolved with the assistance of other parties. It was a quite lengthy and, at times, worrying, process, which could have derailed the sale, but Allison was firmly on top of matters throughout, keeping the buyer (and me) as relaxed about the whole matter as possible, leading to an eventual resolution and completion of sale. I would point out that, while this review is entirely positive, it is genuine, and written in appreciation of the services of what I can only regard as a professional and capable organisation, as represented in this instance by the capable hands of Allison and her team.... Having been a tenant with this lot for 5 years, the process to leave the flat has really taken the shine off what was a good few years. We were good tenants, only getting in touch with them twice, maybe three times for maintenance issues. Had a few visits from them to check the property, with no feedback, so one could assume that nothing was wrong? Otherwise what was the point of the visit? Charges on the checkout suggested otherwise. 2 full weeks after leaving the property, getting the checkout done (our expense, obvs,) and giving the keys back, I got in touch with them the enquire about the return of our deposit. This would be the start of 6 weeks of email tennis to try to recover our deposit. Admittedly, we did have a dispute with the landlord about some charges they placed on there (which we eventually got removed), but they were in no hurry or in the least concerned about getting this sorted in a timely manner (except for when the landlord was going on holiday, so could we hurry up and sort/agree to the charges; which we didn’t and they eventually dropped as they were bogus). Every step of the way to get this sorted was like pulling teeth. I will avoid using them again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.... Read more

The worst agent I have ever come across, Kashiff the lettings negotiator does not turn up for viewings and when he does he arrives an hour and a half late. The most unprofessional experience at every process, even when offering on the property. We are 3 professionals sharers with one couple, just to clarify the description on the property written by regent properties, they described how it would be 'ideal for sharers'. Once the offer was rejected the reasoning was because we were sharers, clearly false advertising. The Letting Manager has the worst customer service and is also completely unprofessional, prompting me to look else where after I had offered full asking price, before the offer had been put forward to the landlord. The most incompetent agency I have ever had the displeasure of coming across. We found a property we were very interested in on Rightmove and are buyers without a chain so were seeking a quick transaction. The sales agent, Mr Kevin Pearcey was always unavailable. They told me he was out at viewings and my husband that he was off sick working from home and apparently in the whole agency, the was the only person who could arrange viewings. He did not return calls or answer his mobile and after 4 days of trying we gave up. He eventually emailed to say he would arrange a viewing and get back to us to confirm the time and never did. Their agency is managing the tenancy and I wonder if their monthly management fee is perhaps more financially motivating to them than following instructions of the owner to try and market the sale of the property, and getting a one off commission? Either way, I don't think the owner would have been too pleased and so do not recommend using them if you are trying to sell your property as they have now lost a potential buyer.... Read more

I would NOT recommend this lettings agency, it is not worth all the hassle and time. Terrible customer service. Agents were HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. They were rude, disorganized and difficult to contact . When we wanted to return the keys no one was in the office and staff told us to mail the keys instead. The deposit was also only returned several MONTHS after moving out. Again, the agency was difficult to contact and made up ridiculous reasons as to why they could not return the deposit. Please AVOID this agency! They never respond to emails, they ignore you all the time, they don't attend to any maintenance issues and they simply don't care about your property if you are a tenant or landlord. I used to be with a smaller agency, Berkley, which was really good, but unfortunately they were absorbed by Regent. This has been the worst property agency experience I have ever had. We have a mould problem in our bathroom, which was reported to them in May 2017 and up to today November 2017 they haven't resolved the problem, despite landlord agreeing to put an extractor and giving them funds for it. They sent an engineer to assess the work in August and since then they just remained silent. I have been sending them emails and calling them since August, but they simply ignore you and never reply to your emails. Last week we got an email from a new agency saying that the landlord was very unhappy with Regent's poor service and decided to change them. Regent hasn't even notified us and when we called them they didn't know what was going on, they are always in total mess. They were supposed to fit the extractor before they officially stop managing us as the landlord gave them funds for it. They sent another engineer last week again to again assess the work, as apparently the previous one lost the report (this was their first argument) or didn't get the right quote (this was their new argument when I called a day after). Nevertheless, of course they failed to resolve the issue as the landlord was done with them and decided that the new agency will finally deal with what Regent failed to do for past half a year. Also, they never know what is going on and when our previous property manager left, they didn't even notify us and didn't know who was the new one for some time. Everyone is always out of office and they always promise things they never deliver and never get back to you.For example they tell you they will email you or call you back in 5 minutes, but they never do. Forget emailing them as your emails will never get a reply, forget reporting maintenance issues on their platform Fixlo as they will never attend to them, forget calling them as people leave their jobs daily and the new people never know what is going on, forget complaining to them as they will pass it on to the maintenance team which doesn't care. Also, they have lost a copy of our keys which were given to them by our previous agency (I have emails to prove this). They never even checked the flat and in case we aren't here and something is happening or we are locked out, they can't do anything. They failed at managing our property, they failed at attending to maintenance issues plus I find their staff very ignorant and often impolite (example - our previous property manager Davindra told me to have a window in the bathroom opened all the time as in her opinion this would resolve the mould issue, despite me telling her we live on ground floor and have to close the window when we are not in the flat. Also, her emails were very passive-aggressive).Their emergency number often doesn't work and either no one picks it up and if they do you have to keep calling it for hours. The worst experience ever, I highly recommend avoiding this agency if you are a landlord or tenant as they simply can't deliver anything and they won't manage the property for you at all. Also please note that they fake their reviews, their own employees (example: Ben Temple who is a director and Jordan Axten who is a compliance officer) gave 5 star reviews although Google Policy clearly states that you shouldn't review your own employer here as it is a conflict of interest. As soon as I reviewed them, Jordan Axten added a 5 star review (without any comments) and their supplier who does photography for them also gave them 5 star review to put their overall rating up. Absolutely awful experience with this lettings agency. Would not recommend to Landlords or Tenants. They never answer emails or their phones, turnover of staff is exceptionally high so even when you do get through you never know who to contact. Out of hours contact number doesn't work (this was not ideal when our apartment electricity supply short circuited at 8pm on a Sunday in the middle of Winter and the place ran purely on electricity so no hot water, heating or lighting was available to us). They were severely unhelpful during the move out process and misquoted us a variety of exceptionally high fees which we weren't actually needing to pay. After all this it then took over a month to have our very large deposit returned to us following again the lack of contact and poor attitude from the staff. My experience with Regent Property has been great. I was looking for a rental flat in Central London around mid-July and during the search and offer process Ahmed and Alen were a great help. Unlike most agencies, the Regent has separate teams who look after viewings, contracts, maintenance etc. This is very important as it enables team members to keep track of the process and be aware of all issues related to property. Christina and Penelope were also really helpful in sorting out the issues prior to arranged move date. They are very responsive to emails and kept me updated on the progress in a professional manner (without me chasing them down), which I truly appreciate.
