Their Bracknell corporate was beyond awful and full of lies, they badly managed a drug dealing/ subletting situation in a “redevelopment” area and came back on a complaint with nothing but lies! I had to get a ring doorbell to deal with the issue around their poor Lettings and management, they claimed someone came to inspect the property.. “ring doorbell” ???? when did that happen then? Cause I can’t see them… avoid!! If I saw them manage a property in future I’d avoid it!! Serious danger to life and they done nothing but lie and talk rubbish! For shame!!... Read more

our St Helen/ Liverpool branch have been a terrible and disappointing management. Since inception I have never experienced any good out of the business relationship rather it's been all nightmares. I'd soon take this up and make an official report to the necessary management bodies. They just care about making and wouldn't care if the landlord is in debt or the business is ruined. 3 out of 4 tenants are none paying from the first month and the property trashed yet they're telling me to chase for the rent arrears from the insurance when they have all the necessary information required. Unfortunately I had the displeasure of dealing with Leaders Roman Group. Over five years ago I moved to a flat situated in Skyline Central 2 in Manchester which was then managed by Way of Life who were always present site and ready to help with any issues of queries at any time. Everything changed when in late 2020 the building was sold to L1 who later appointed Leaders Roman Group as their lettings agent. All went downhill ever since due to Leaders and QED's sheer incompetence as well as the way they treat their staff and residents. Despite the dip in living standards at Skyline, I found myself comfortable as I had been living there for years but also fancied a change too as my flat is quite small. I then saw that another flat in the same building was available and I contacted LRG in order to view it and potentially book it. I worked with Aimee Molloy who declined to show me the flat when asked for a viewing despite it being in the same building 2 floors down, it would have taken 1 minute to contact the concierge or management and let me see the flat before booking it. She then sent me a link to view it virtually however the video was over 4 years old meaning that the flat was surely in a worse condition now due to wear and tear. I still wasn't sure about the flat and asked again if I could see it in person but this time I was given attitude by Aimee. Despite this I decided to proceed and was asked to send over all my details and references for the landlord to approve, a bit strange if you ask me since I had been living in one of their flats for years and I felt this step was unnecessary and they should have known me by then. Aimee got back to me and said that the landlord approved and I was good to go. I then paid a £350 deposit in order to secure the flat. My moving date was set to be in March, two months after booking. After paying the deposit and securing the flat I was told I needed to fill some forms on the Leaders portal and after doing so I was told to go through referencing again this time through their website. Again I felt this was totally pointless as I had already given my details and profile and the landlord had approved my offer. Nevertheless I filled the form but did not hear back from anyone for a month and half... I tired ringing but no one would respond and Aimee wasn't responding to my emails either. I was then contacted by another staff member named Abigail Jones who had an attitude from the get go, she was very rude and unprofessional in her emails and like just Aimee would take weeks to respond to a simple email. Abigail then out of nowhere came and said that I failed the referencing and that in order to proceed I would have to pay for my entire tenancy ONE YEAR in advance. I though this was a slap in the face and a disgraceful way to treat an already existing tenant and I immediately declined and tried to explain that I had been a customer of theirs for years and had never been told to pay for anything a year in advance. She ignored my email for three weeks before responding 2 weeks before my proposed move in date telling me that they will not be proceeding with this. After ghosting me for a month Aimee also emailed me saying the same, ignoring everything I had sent her earlier and adding further insult to injury. Skyline staff members and other residents were furious and disappointed by their treatment of me but also weren't surprised in the slightest which pretty much says everything. Aimee Molloy and Abigail Jones proved to be both unprofessional and incompetent in what they do and I will not be dealing with LRG again. Avoid at all cost.... Read more

I have been renting a studio flat in Brighton for just over a month. The flat viewing and move-in was handled by Leaders, who have branches here in Brighton. Since I moved in, Romans have been acting as my letting agent, landlord and property manager. I was not made aware that I would be handed over to Romans. I'm not sure why a letting agent with no branches within 50 miles of Brighton is managing property in Brighton. When I moved in there were multiple issues with my flat. The hot taps and shower produced no hot water; my bathroom fan didn’t work; the plug sockets didn’t work properly as they had been incorrectly wired with flex cable and some had burned out (fire hazard); my window stays and sills are rotten so the windows do not shut properly, leading to bad draughts. More recently, the lights in my room stopped working for over a week, and the shower drain is now blocked making showering in my flat impossible. My flat is one of many rooms in a former hotel. It is not only my room that needs attention: the whole building is in a state of disrepair. Half the appliances do not work in the shared kitchen; most of the lights in the corridors do not work; the block fire alarm system has showed ‘multiple faults’ since I arrived and the maintenance alarm frequently sounds. There is block wifi that I am entitled to use - however, Romans could not tell me the password to this and I have had to find my own means to access the internet. Frankly, I should never have been allowed to move into a flat in this state. Romans did not do their due diligence in preparing the flat for someone to live there - no one should have to live without hot water for a month, and no one should be living somewhere with potentially dangerous faulty electrics and faulty fire alarms. Since reporting most of these problems within three days of moving in, the response from Romans has been sloppy at best. Only today, over a month into my tenancy, did an electrician come round to fix the electrical problems. I still have no hot water, the drains are blocked, fire alarms are faulty etc etc. And Romans only sent that contractor after numerous phone calls and emails from me, constantly chasing them up. Utterly shocking service. My water has been shut off whilst a pipe that is leaking is getting fixed. I live in a big apartment building which is managed by another company and I understand Leaders have no control over how and when the problem gets fixed. I Contacted my property manager, Ilyas, to enquire about what the solution was for me whilst this gets fixed. I was only forwarded the generic email sent from the building management saying the water will not be switched back on till the issue can be resolved. I replied asking what Leaders was going to do personally as it is unsanitary and unhygienic to leave me with no water supply to wash, flush the toilet, clean or have any heating. I have been understanding that you are not involved in fixing the leak, however it is your job to ensure that my basic legal requirements are met. Multiple times in the day I asked about being put up in a hotel as I have no one near me that I can stay with whilst the water is switched off. I have had no reply so I tried to call to which I was sent straight to voicemail saying he is away as they're at a 'company event'. You're happy to leave customers without any water or heating and ill go to a work event. The situation from Leaders has been handled disgustingly leaving customers in the dark. This is not how renters should be treated and how a company should handle a crisis situation.... Read more

Thankfully my property manager was still fantastic, however when you stop renting with them leaders appear to decide that your dispute is not worth their time. I struggle to describe just how terrible of an experience I have had to endure with Leaders. They have cost me countless days of my life fixing the messes they have left behind, caused huge stress and cost me unnecessary financial loss due to their sheer incompetence. I cannot recommend highly enough that you avoid doing any business with Leaders. They simply do not care about you or your property and it shows in the disgraceful manner in which they conduct their business. Pathetic experience We moved to derby from London and they were our agents( derby office) The house we had to move in was in very bad condition and very unhygienic , when we came for viewing we told them to get it deep cleaned but they didn’t also they didn’t remove the landlord’s stuff from kitchen and personal hygiene stuff especially in these covid time And they gave us inventory checklist after 6 days of moving in the house and till daye haven’t provided us with our gas, water & electricity meter readings inspite of several reminders over mails and calls Will never ever recommend them nor will I use their services ever in future PS:- ADDED PICTURES FOR REFERENCE... I walked past your Forest Hill (London) branch at lunchtime and I was horrified to see that NO ONE in your office was wearing a face mask, not even one. I saw at least 6 employees in there (the windows are huge - it's hard to miss them) and not only were some of them sat at adjacent desks (hence not distancing) but none of them was wearing a mask. These are one the best Property management companies they look after their tenants, who care for where they live. Leaders have gone beyond in dealing with the issues and getting them resolved & best of all staying connected giving updates. Worst letting agents I have ever rented from. Appalling manners. They don't bother to reply to your emails for days to weeks. They don't fix issues that break your contract on their behalf (eg. Facilities not working). They tell you one thing and then another. They tell you a date that something supposedly will happen, and it never does. Tenancy ended on 20th Feb, have been harassed by property management over issues that are not out concern,.accused of ridiculous things, deposit was due to be refunded on Monday but still has not happened. My personal post has been opened and scanned in. I have reported to the local authority and raised a complaint with head office which takes 3 weeks for a.reaponse. I've got to sit and wait for OUR money to be returned. All in relation to a property which was not fit for human habitation. Legal minimal human rights and fire safety standards were not met. No option to give negative rating! I would NOT recommend Leaders at all. Horrible experience! I’m going through hard time because of leaders and I regret every single day to rent property though them. It’s been a month since I have moved out the property. Since then I had been kindly requesting leaders Sutton branch to provide me with my rent refund. Leaders Company had given me enough unreasonable excuses every time I ask for my refund i.e. Christmas holidays, new year holidays, backlogs, landlords asking for more time to decide, system crashing, staff on leave, unreasonable long procedures, etc. etc. The branch manager is always out of office every time I call and can’t have a courtesy to give a call back, after leaving several msgs. I’m always been ignored or put on hold. I haven’t seen such unfortunate and rude people in my life. Leaders people can’t stand on their own words. I believe I have given more than sufficient time to provide me with a refund. I am in the procedure of file a legal complaint against leaders to hold my deposit, harassing and also I would claim compensation for the lost and stress cause to me because of leaders. Firstly, there is no option to give zero stars otherwise I would have. I would NOT recommend anyone to use this company with renting. When I finally moved into my new rental home in Bedford, there were many things broken and it's been 2 weeks and still i am waiting for these things to be addressed!! Side gate broken and unable to close. Back door unable to open Big stains on most of the carpets Rubbish bins all full Missing lightbulbs Cooker not working Dirty blinds (the dirt and dust fell off as i pulled them down) Messy front and rear gardens. Never before (in my entire life renting) have I seen fees for so many small things and at such a high value, particularly when my job means that I am already required to be reference and CRB checked. I am a clean and respectful person, I earn a fair salary and I am not asking for unreasonable terms. I do however, object to ludicrous rental fees like those out by ‘Leaders’. I cannot see how they can justify these fees as being proportionate to the amount of work required on their behalf.... Read more

I have just found out that in No way will they help with letting to family's though housing services. I'm a hard worker father of two children who are 2 and under. It amazed me with new laws against discrimination and that's what this is. I've only found my self having to go through housing services because my landlord is selling the house I'm in. To now find this out I'm going to take this as far I can to let everyone know. My local MP and news. I will be right it down on every review site I can. i returned the keys to the cranleigh branch today after doing a clean for a lovely family. after spending 24 hours in total cleaning the property. i was told that the estate agent was not returning the families money because we had missed 2 cobwebs that had been made over the weekend. we have been running our business for 7 years now with 30 years experience behind us. we know what we are doing and saying. i have never been so insulted by anyone in all my life will not recommend cranleigh leaders to anyone... A shambles from start to finish. Made wrong assumptions on my personal status initially refusing rental, lost documents between 2 branches barely 2 miles apart, documentation sent without correct postage. Trying to get refund of deposit was abysmal, Leaders lodged deposit with DPS and NEVER told landlord. NEVER returned phone calls, took 3 weeks to answer emails. Sent a text saying deposit was to be returned within 5 days of 2nd June, now 20th June and still waiting. Shocking customer service, could never speak to anyone in authority. Have to begrudgingly give one star as unable to post otherwise. AVOID at all costs.... Read more

Awful service. Avoid. Took their fees twice from my daughter's card and despite repeated calls failed to return the fees. Eventually recovered by deducting from deposit for a new letting . Did not accompany my daughter when the keys were given. Obvious why when my daughter turned up to a filthy flat with numerous cobwebs, not hoovered, broken blind, hidden iron carpet damage under a bed, only 1 set of keys even though they knew there were 2 sharing tenants, filthy cooker etc, no key fob for the gate to the parking area. All they want are their fees. Will be formally complaining to the ARLA as they are not fit to be letting agents.... Read more
