I would definitely use lighthouse estate agents again in the future. I have only sold a property through them but I found Simon very helpful and courteous and was able to make contact at any time with him and get good sound advice.

Lighthouse are helpful, professional and caring. All of the staff are super lovely, they are prompt, friendly, accommodating and go above and beyond!
I would recommend Lighthouse to anybody and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
After a landlord pulled out of a property I had intended to rent, the staff ensured I was given opportunities to view properties promptly and a thank you particularly to Michaela who found us out perfect home for the past year who then ensured a smooth transition at an extremely stressful time.
The team operate as a family and that shows in the way we have been treated, nothing is too much trouble and is handled with compassion.
Simon made our departure easier, hassle free and was understanding over my emotional wobble - we were sad to go but excited also to move in with my partner.
Keep doing what you do best!

As a landlord I have successfully worked in partnership with many letting agents over the years. Lighthouse is only consistent in the level of poor service they delivered to me and my tenant. This review is 100% genuine. I have records that can evidence the extent of their incompetence. Do your self a favour and find a decent letting agent.
Dear Lighthouse, thankyou for your reply to my rating. On this occasion you cannot claim a poor review is a fake review, so instead you choose to make entirely false claims of my behaviour. I have a full record of all our communications and will be sharing them with Google Review and The Property Ombudsman of whom you are a member. At the time of writing I notice your website does not as a mandatory code of practice requirement prominently display the Ombudsman logo on your website. I wonder why? You may wish to amend this at your earliest opportunity. I will leave people reading this to draw their own conclusions.
Last response from a customer on this platform before asking The Property Ombudsman to adjudicate:
1. We did not by any communication platform say this Compliant was closed.We told Mr Wright the Director of Lighthouse that this complaint was remaining open via a recorded phone call.
2. At no time in any form of correspondence were we abusive to you or your team. I regard your comments about how we behaved as libel. In a nutshell you are out of order,
3. We recorded all phone calls. Which is legal. I refer you to the Information Commissioner for advice. We will release calls on a legal basis only.
4. You are correct emails and indeed other messages were sent at various times. We never demanded expected, suggested or inferred a response until the team were back at work in normal office hours.

The experience has been a pleasure from start to finish, Simon was so friendly and professional at the market appraisal.
Evie, Faye & Anne couldn’t have been more helpful, they kept me informed throughout the whole process, nothing was too much trouble and they have found me some lovely tenants.

The team at Lighthouse are superb. They dealt with an extremely challenging sale and did so with patience, tenacity and professionalism....in the face of difficult challenges. I cannot praise them enough.
The owner, Simon amazed us with his sense of humour and personal attention whenever we needed it. My husband and I did not realise that selling a house could be so amusing. Simon made it so.

Anne, Simon and Michaela will change your view of Estate Agents- they are absolutely lovely. Helpful, compassionate and caring. As I said- not descriptions normally associated with their profession!
They have been helping my brother since May this year. He has complex needs and vulnerabilities but their attitude is accepting, helpful, “can do”. He’s now a week into his tenancy of a small flat they manage; we are both very grateful for all the help and support given by this wonderful team.
If I could give them 10 stars I would.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the team at lighthouse especially Jess, Julie and Ann. Although we did not end up buying a house through them (unfortunately), they were fantastic in keeping us updated even if there was nothing suitable and they were all extremely friendly on the phone. I would not hesitate in coming back to them if we were thinking of moving in the future! being an Agent myself in lettings/sales it was refreshing to deal with a great bunch of people and again, it's such a shame they didn't have anything for us as the Agent we are now buying from have already not been great. I rented from Lighthouse for 3 years before moving in February. The property that I rented had a problem with damp and despite reporting this on several occasions I was told that this would be too expensive to fix?! The house was very cold and repairs that were done were done so cheaply that they had to be redone (upstairs bedroom cupboard was plastered twice due to trying to do it on the cheap the first time around). I was subject to 12 weekly checks, which made me feel under scrutiny. There was no reason for this given and I always paid my rent on time and no issues around ASB. In the end I left due to living in a cold, rundown property which was making me feel down. I didn't feel valued or looked after as a tenant paying £425 a month for a property.

I am not afraid to admit when I am wrong and on this occasion I was wrong about Lighthouse estate agents, The information I was working on was second hand and I apologise profusely for any business or custom they may have lost through my previous review.
I find them to be sympathetic and understanding in my now desperate situation and I would recommend them to anyone .

Excellent service yet again from Lighthouse....
I have been using their services for around 4 years now and can't rate them highly enough.
I have both bought and sold houses through them, with no issues at all. I also have a rental property that is managed by Lighthouse and again that doesn't cause me any problems.
Simon and the team are always on hand to help, communication is always good and queries are always answered swiftly.
I wouldn't have any issues in recommending them to anyone looking at buying, selling or renting a property.

Genuinely the best experience I've ever had with a letting agent (I've lived and rented here for 7 years and experienced many different letting agents). They have been friendly, warm, helpful and have worked quickly to help me secure a lovely new house to rent. The property is the best I've seen in the Ashfield area for a while and they've made it a smooth process from start to finish. I've been very busy at work and not able to quickly fulfill a few things on my side of the application process, but they haven't made this an issue. I'm so glad my friend recommended you guys as I was tearing my hair out with my last letting agent....now been with you guys for 6 years I wouldn't dream of going elsewhere. I urge anyone considering using Lighthouse to think again. We have lived in this house for two years rented through Lighthouse, the windows are falling out and leaking our little boy cannot sleep in his bed for the wind and rain coming in the roof leaks. and they won't resolve the problems but won't let us do any work ourselves, They are useless!!! Quick to take your money though!!If I could give zero stars I would, We had 4 days in winter with no heating or hot water because the halfwit boiler engineer broke the boiler while servicing it! Nothing but a bunch of cowboys playing at being estate agents.

I thought I would be just as unprofessional and petty and leave another review - this one star review is for the owner. Nice way to run a business!

They absolutley diabolical when they decide to get back to you, I have had several of my own personal belongings go mouldy including my 11 month olds cot and mattress my husbands trainers a suitcase a canvas picture bedding etc we have Windows open on latch at night open fully through day of in, dehumidifier on 12 hrs a day vents always going when cooking washing is dried outside, we have dehumidifiers in wardrobes and around flat and can only use 1 bedroom between 3 of us which is smallest room which includes a bed cot and my sons drawers and wardrobe, I had environmental health out and they said its normal for items to go mouldy hahaha best joke heard all year (I DONT THINK SO) they are useless, alright when they want to take your money, anyway I'm seeking advise from a solicitor !!!!!

Would not use again but some positives...
Lovely people, but really the attention to detail is so bad I ended up writing my own rightmove entry, you deal with someone different every time you call or email.
Took longer than expected to get in a tenant as they were messing about not doing more than one viewing at a time and not wanting to "mess anyone around" The idea is to get as many offers on the table as possible and get someone in quick.
The checkout process was a nightmare, our tenants left the place dirty and had painted the walls and broken things (painted without permission) and we were left to sort it out. Checkout was lax, I had to pick things up that were missed - a lot of things too! It wasn't how I expected at all. Baring in mind how I have been picked up on certain things when I was renting, they just lack attention to detail and professionalism. They are too nice to tenants when we are the ones paying them!
We had to go through the DPS to get money back even though the agency said they did the best they could. Not acceptable in this day and age.
They are quick at getting people out to do work if the tenant needed it doing and coming back to me pretty quick which is always good.
I would say they are good value for money if you don't have a lot of money to spend but next time we would consider another agency purely based on the lack of detail and having too many people to deal with.
OK but definitely could improve.
