There is a flat inside which extends far beyond four walls and a ceiling - the flat is occupied by a Norfolk Terrier and her two house mates... I was fortunate to invite myself to supper on a fine Wednesday evening with the housemates. I had initially expected one main course, as I understand most people typically do. Although upon entry the stage was set for quite the culinary contest. The unknown 'L' had concocted a pearl barley risotto with marinated feta and 'O' had whipped up a capinata on toasted sourdough....I had brought... nothing. Alas that's not entirely true. I had brought myself which is a gift to most and as a result we had a lovely evening. I would recommend you all to invite yourselves for supper with 'L' and 'O' for it promises to be a real treat. No dessert though.... Hence the four stars.... Read more

Incredibly rude receptionist / security who was unhelpful and dismissive. An advertisement that listed viewings as daily but was not available the entire weekend makes little sense. Coupled with the security who shut the door in our face has left a sour taste.... Read more

There are two things you need to be aware of with this development. Part 1 - it was restored and converted into apartments by London Square (typically known for doing a very good job). However, in this instance they subcontracted all elements of it out, which resulted in the finished product (many of the apartments themselves) having issue after issue, such as; damp surfacing in places, pipes leaking from the surrounding properties into your own, swimming pool leaks, and more. Nearly all owners are experiencing issues and are constantly battling with the developer to have the issues resolved. It is a beautiful building and on the face of it the developer appears to have done a wonderful job, but once you're in is when you get to see the exactly how it was done when the issues become all to real. Part 2 - London Square have an on site management company (formally Harrods and recently taken over by Rendall & Rittner). Some on site staff are very pleasant, kind and caring; however, they are being fired / let-go one-by-one. The new head concierge (an Italian older gentlemen) is without question responsible for this. This individual is also incredibly rude to residents. His behaviour has been reported to higher management within the organisation on several occasions, and by some staff members beneath him (whom have since been moved on); however, higher management continue to retain him. My summary - as the saying goes... don't read a book by it's cover. In the case of the Star & Garter - don't read it by it's exterior.... Read more
