I recently had the absolute pleasure of purchasing a flat through John D Wood in Richmond. Right from my first viewing the guys were so helpful, informative, efficient and so easy to deal with. Simon went above and beyond what I thought would be obliging of an agent, he made the process so smooth and for a first time buyer, it was so reassuring to have someone to guide you through the process. I can't recommend both Simon Philp and Edward Hall highly enough for anyone in the area looking to buy or sell a property.

FIVE stars for the most APPALLING service ever, Have to leave this review as no way to make a complaint and believe me I have tried. You can never get through on the phone, always an answer machine, normally 24 hours before a call back. I sold through Dixon's, to a buyer having a mortgage through them. However when trying to make offers on properties, Dixon's either didn't answer phones and agents had to leave messages, when they did get through, the tell me that one of the advisors would tell them I was sold but couldn't give them details of the chain as it wasn't his job. They would then have to wait for call back from another advisor, who I am told by several agents, was unable to confirm my buyers own selling position, or his agent etc etc. I eventually had to ask my solicitor to send a memorandum of sale to the sellers agent....Result, on the last attempt to purchase a house, after 4 days of trying to get info the seller of the property I was interested in took an offer from someone who had had position confirmed. When I tried to complain, I was obviously angry but assertive, Dixon's manager obviously could not handle an assertive woman and told me "I do not have to sit and listen to you screaming" WOW how rude and its a typical male comment to a woman, I am a client not his 'woman'. Luckily my phone was on loud speaker and my neighbour heard the whole thing, and I definateley was not screaming, the Manager just kept overtalking me. Unable to confirm my buyers position I withdrew. But there is one other thing, I agreed a fixed fee including VAT of £2500, as that was a figure I had been quoted with a competitor, I NEVER signed an agreement with Dixon's though and during a call AFTER I had sold they told me it was £2500 + VAT £3k... I am appalled there is no complaints procedure or numbers, no area manager ....DISGRACEFUL. I am now doubting if the buyer for my house HAD in fact actually sold his.

Since posting my initial feedback, I have put my property on the market with Kings Heath branch. I think they are a new team and are so professional and polite. I would totally recommend them. All viewings were accompanied and carried out with utmost professionalism and I was kept informed all along. I am now SSTC for the asking price through Dixons. Not the cheapest but definitely the best, Dixons sell houses . Marilyn

Alex the mortgage and protection consultant has been incredibly helpful throughout the process. He has been willing to answer all my questions and has been a great guide from the beginning, which has been particularly useful as a first time buyer.
