I just moved into my home and everyone I dealt with was very helpful and kind. From the initial state the agent notice my anxiety for me with such a big move from reading to hull and she reassured me that they will handle everything. She kept her word. From moving to setting up everything for the home they took care of it. I would definitely recommend this company if you are looking for a home. It was just a very smooth transition for me.

The absolute worst lettings agency I've had the displeasure to be with. I moved into my property at the beginning of January and months later I am still waiting on property repairs. My blinds fell down after a couple of weeks, radiators were clogged with dust, carpets stained, paint work doesn't match. The only response they ever send to you is "We are waiting on confirmation dates" but nothing ever gets done. Terrible!

I have been a tenant of MRC since 2019. Initial application was extremely professional and pleasant and made me feel welcome in their office.
As someone else pointed out, they do inspections every 6 months and are thorough in doing so, but always courteous and polite. As I have pets in the property, they cannot enter my home without me being there because otherwise I would trust them to inspect without my presence.
Whenever I have had maintenance issues (which was only two or three times in four years as they keep on top of all checks and always ask of any issues at inspections), it was resolved promptly.
MRC restored my faith in letting agencies.
Thank you to all the team. Happy to be a tenant with you guys.

We have rented with MRC for 12 years in which we have occupied two properties.
It has been a good and reassuring experience throughout.
Any enquiry we had were dealt with and handled to a high standard. MRC carry out 6 monthly inspections which are handy when you have any issues. I have give permission for MRC to enter the property when we're unavailable to be present and this has been reassuring for us due to the level of trust we have between agency and tenant. This being said, it is the main reason for the 5 star review.
Contractors who work for MRC have completed jobs to a high standard. (Plumbers & carpet man).
Thank you for the service you have provided and it has been a pleasure to raise our family in the property. As we leave rental life and begin a mortgage one, I am happy to not have to do a quick clean up before the inspections ????, despite this, the inspections have always felt like a friend coming round.

The worst rental experience.
I rented a room in 11 Alexandra Road (HU5, 2NS, Hull, England) from the 1st of September. This property is rented by Graffiti Network Property and MRC manage the property on behalf of the landlord, who is responsible for their landlord repairing obligations. When I first came to the property I found a lot of dirt (tobacco in the drawers, spilled liquid in the walls, greasy walls, dirty in the shower and in the WC and mould in the walls). I told Graffiti to carry a deep cleaning and they only vacuumed the carpet. I preferred not having any trouble in this house as I am alone in a foreign country but on the 2nd of November rodents appeared in the kitchen. We told Graffiti about that issue but until the 17th of November nobody came to the house to solve the problem (they only put traps for the rodents but they did not fix any holes in the walls). I wrote Graffiti several times and they said they have not been responsible for any problem. Then, I discovered the existence of MRC and contacted them. They told me that they were going to inspect the property. When I talked to them about all the issues I explained above (rats and mould) they told me that the person who came to make the inspection did not notice any of these problems (I attach photos to this review that show there are one trap for rodents in the living room and a report in the fridge from the pest company) so it is difficult to believe that MRC did not notice any of this. MRC also told me that they did not notice any mould in the walls of my room (I have mould in the bathroom and in the bedroom) because they do not move any furniture when they inspect the properties (as you can see in the photos, it is not necessary to move any furniture to see the mould). I had many conversations with both Graffiti and MRC and none of them have assumed any responsibility. MRC says that any of this issues is responsibility of the landlord but under section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, it is the landlord’s responsibility to resolve mould issues caused by structural faults.
Even so, I have to admit that at least MRC answers the emails that are sent to them although later they avoid taking charge of any responsibility considering that they received part of my rent money.
ANSWER TO MRC
At the moment in which MRC is obtaining an economic benefit from this rent I have the right to complain about an unfair situation. Although MRC not only avoid their responsibility because the property is in terrible condition (presence of rats, leaks, mold, dirt), but having made this review public, I have received several threats in my personal email from them. I have nothing else to talk to them after feeling cheated for all the days I have spent in that house.

Unable between February and August to find new student tenants for our large 8 bed house in Hull, we approached MRC for help. Their response has been excellent. Within the short space of 2 months the MRC staff have been extremely helpful, professional and effective - removing all the stress from us and managing the journey from advising us on marketing the property, finding and 'persuading' suitable tenants of the property's potential, drawing up contracts, managing contractors to complete the minor repairs needed and preparing a detailed inventory prior to the tenants occupying the house. In the beginning, Jo and Danielle were brilliant in keeping us informed by phone and email during every step of the marketing process. Their knowledge of the local market and their assessment of our possible outcomes proved very accurate, and we are very pleased that we followed their very helpful and friendly advice. Russ Flanaghan was an enormous help to us on site, working very closely with us to identify areas that would benefit from improvement and he managed contractors into the property at a moment's notice to rectify any issues that cropped up. He listened carefully to Tenant comments and communicated them to us very quickly and efficiently together with speedy contractor quotes to ensure that these tenant priorities were addressed quickly by us in order to help secure the Tenancy. Thank you also for a very thorough Inventory with lots of photographic evidence. We now have a signed contract and tenants who will hopefully find themselves well looked after by MRC. We feel we know and trust the MRC staff well already. Any call from us to Russ or the MRC staff in the office has been answered without fail and without delay during the whole process with office staff helping us to resolve any query we had. We have confidence that MRC will manage the property on our behalf with care and professionalism and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship. Thank you everyone at MRC!

We had one property in Hull which contained four one bedroomed flats. It was the worst performing property in our portfolio causing us continual problems with damage, arrears, and tenant voids. MRC had been suggested to us at a time when we were considering cutting our losses and selling.
This is now our best performing property and most importantly for retired people, our least troublesome property.
We have had very good advice and help from the team of Jo, Russ, Rick, Josh and Katie who have helped first of all get the property in shape, and most importantly keep it in good shape. As a result of their advice and management the property now contains four flats plus a bedsit and has a five year contract set up by MRC.
We trust the MRC team implicitly and are delighted with their management and financial reporting. We now have a property which is well run and maintained and, with a regular and predictable income.
We only wish we had found them earlier.

Company only allows 10 minute viewings, and with only one guy to do all the viewings, they do not leave him adequate time to get to each house, it results in poor customer care. One the first instance we were ushered form the property before we had finished viewing. Attempted to ask a few questions on our way out but were ignored by him answering his phone presumable to someone waiting at the next property. On the second instance I got stuck in traffic, having been unaware of the 10 minute slot, and unable to call ahead as I was driving, I arrived to to my 3pm viewing at 3.10pm, to be told by a neighbour that he left 5 minutes ago. After ringing the office turns out he had another viewing at 3.15pm, how this would every allow for a decent viewing is beyond the imagination whilst leaving him time to get the next viewing.

I was looking for a new investment property and I found that MRC actually listened to my requirements. Their honest guidance which included the negatives and potential challenges was a stark contrast to other agents I have used. The property I bought was completed with no complications and their advice on suitable tradesman was excellent. Many of these I now use maintaining my other properties. It is now managed by MRC and I am very happy with the arrangements in place. All the staff are personable and very professional.

A year ago we transferred a property with a mixture of one bedroomed flats and bedsits to MRC. With the previous agent I experienced many voids, numerous tenants in rent arrears frequent damage by tenants and some important legal responsibilities were not properly enforced.
In a year MRC have sorted out all of our legal responsibilities, smartened the interior, found tenants that look after their flats and have organised turning two poor bedsits into more rentable accommodation. Used MRC for many years now for my properties in and around Hull. I cannot recommend them highly enough! I used to try and manage them myself but after experiencing 3 lots of VERY BAD HORRENDOUS tenants I went in desparation to MRC who managed to get rid of the worst tenant I have ever had. (a female tenant who looked as though buttter wouldn't melt!!!) They really do manage your property to a very high standard and I have and I am totally satified with them. They really do take the 'worry' out of renting property. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

This agency is full of resist people. This is because we have apply for property and our application was sucessfull and even the landloard accept everthing. We get the call from the agency saying that we can bring the money and pay and we even ask when we can do it. Next day as they say we bring the money and they say that our application was late and some "ENGLISH PEOPLE" was "FIRST" exepting the fact that it took us 2 days to actualy get eny informations. After I went back home I have call this agency again regarding this and they just finish the call in the middle of my sentence about 5 times. I have all ready sign out my contract for the previouse house and I need to move away in 2 weeks time but the agency did not "CARE"about us. This agency is realy bad and if you dont want to have any problems with renting the house I suggest you chose different one.
