Unprofessional.- 30th May 2024 (8 weeks ago)I believe that we can all agree that the process of relocating and finding a new place to call home is stressful, time-consuming and tiring. But fortunately, it doesn't always have to be that way. Especially when you are being guided by a skilled Estate Agent. My experience with finding and securing a home that met my wants, needs, and everything in between through this company has been excellent, and I cannot thank Abigail Clark (aka Abbie) enough for her time and assistance from start to finish. Abbie is a consummate professional and has been a pleasure to work with. I personally admire how passionate she is about developing her craft and skills to provide the best service possible, and I would recommend her to anyone seeking to find the perfect place to call home. Cheers :)

7th Jul 2024 (20 days ago)Abysmal service for tennants. Still awaiting deposit to be returned 6+ weeks later. Beware of this estate agent. This estate agent do not care for tennants I was without heating and hot water for months, their excuse is the landlord opted to self maintain the property. They do not help, do not reply to emails. More alarming is I HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED my DEPOSIT funds out of dispute over 1 month later. I paid rent in full on time, left the property early on 25th May, 7th July I am STILL awaiting payment. I called 4 times over a week to get a reply which then received contradictory information on if the payment is made or not. I am owed £1,171 and so far told it is authorised and takes 5 days to clear. It's been 10 business days Absolutely unacceptable. I paid 3 months in advance + deposit of £2048 + guarantor. Yet they cannot reciprocate returning funds in a timely manner. Worst experience of renting.

Dan, Brendan, Rita, Shiv all helped with the process and achieved the desired goal. A special thank you to Shiv for all the hard work , he is truly an asset to the company. Many thanks will definitely recommend anyone who wants there property sold or rented ????
24th Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)I'm not surprised that Whitakers are highly rated because their customer service is spot on. We viewed a property that required a lot of work, and we were lucky enough to have Angie show us around. Angie was fantastic; she left us to it and answered any questions we had. I loved the property and believed I could turn that house into a home. As first-time buyers, we wanted to view the property again. Since the house wasn't cheap, we wanted to ensure we could afford the renovation costs. We booked a second viewing. At this point, nothing could have deterred me from putting in an offer, not even advice from family and friends. During our second viewing, the agent spent the first five minutes talking about their personal life and circumstances. When she finished, she reminded us that we had only 10 minutes left. Throughout the viewing, she followed us into every room, continuously reminding us of the time limit (I've never known any estate agents in Hull to have a 15-minute viewing limit and to remind us every minute). This created such a poor experience as we couldn't fully examine the property. We felt under pressure. The agent also mentioned that she disliked when buyers took their time and that previous buyers would linger. Then her husband called to remind her that she had only two minutes left, so we had to wrap things up. The reason for the 15-minute limit was that they needed time to get to their next viewing. The agent also complained about fuel costs and staff expenses, which seemed irrelevant to our viewing. My partner's father took the day off work to see the house but got stuck in traffic (Hull A63 was closed, causing gridlock). It took him 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive, and when he did, we were told to book another viewing. There were many ways to handle the situation better: the husband could have gone to the next viewing while the agent stayed with us, they could have given us an extra five minutes for my partner’s father, or they could have left us the keys since the house was vacant. The people who showed us around were Mr. & Mrs. Whitakers. This experience ultimately deterred me from making an offer. If I could contact the vendor directly, I certainly would. If you were short-staffed, it would have been better to cancel my viewing and rebook it for a different date. Overall, I've had no problems with the staff, and I think they are absolutely brilliant (hence the two stars and not one). However, the owners should practice what they preach. You wouldn't expect your employees to deliver such a service, so why should you? Whitakers did call us to apologise and to book another viewing; however, this has left a bad taste in our mouths. The staff shouldn't be apologising; it should be the owners.

I have had prompt feedback from all viewings which is really helpful as a seller. I cannot single any one individual out from the team as they have all been excellent, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to friends.

30th May 2024 (8 weeks ago)Wanted to rent a property, the landlord used this company. Soon as an historic IVA was mentioned this company black listed us. Refusal to help, understand. Made us feel dirty, or not good enough, when we could more than prove we’ve been good tenants and good more than afford the house. Killed a dream.
12th Jul 2024 (15 days ago)Just had my first 1st and hopefully the last contact with this letting agent I will ever have. As I was advocating I remained calm and polite trying to explain the situation but was spoken over and spoken to like i was a child misbehaving. Joni was rude extremly unprofessional and extremly condescending. I would give zero stars but that not an option. After reading the reviews I can understand why so many are negative. When it comes to finding an estate agent I would recommend anywhere but here.
18th Mar 2024 (19 weeks ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

Communication was excellent and they kept me updated every step of the way! Could not recommend using Lime Property enough! Brilliant service all round!
