online shopping was a complete nightmare, they need to update their admin emails as they send you completely the wrong place in the store, then a rude member of staff starts telling you its your problem! there were a couple of understandin staff members but this needs to drastically change since you pay through the nose to be handling grief when it's supposed to make it easier!!

Interesting way to enter both Waitrose and John Lewis which seemed to confuse some people. John Lewis had a few people in over the two floors so social distancing wasn't difficult and everyone that I saw was masked up which was good, they prefer card payments so be warned! The lift to the first floor was limited to family or bubbles for each trip but as the store wasn't too busy it wasn't a problem. Waitrose was busier and given the food aisles it was a little more difficult to social distance but again, everyone including staff were masked. The shelves were well stocked so we were able to find what we needed quickly and self service tills were available, card only, so our trip was brief.

Fantastic staff providing first class customer service even in these trying times. Waitrose has a varied range of great products and unusual one's all at reasonable prices???? making for a safe and satisfying shopping experience.

As expected really, nice wide aisles and plenty of excellent choices of whatever you need. I bought sushi this time love it and always know itll be good quality from any Waitrose store. Will always go back as quality stands tall.

Store has most things not everything, I really like shopping in here for their bags..this store doesn't have one. Still have variety of things to choose from which is good. Seem to have different prices in waitrose supermarket to their partners ( which is next door in there kitchen range, which seems strange. Will price match)

Because I had a rescan. But they had to go look for someone to do this. Disorganised when I had quickly popped in for a few bits. Don't mind being rescanned but have your process in place rather than waste my time.

Thought I would try Waitrose for my food shop yesterday (just for a change of scenery). It was all very sensible, i was given a cleaned trolley on arrival, no queuing, lots of lovely fresh fruit & veg. But, the man on the meat & fish counter really made my day. He was so happy, helpful & genuinely interested in his job. He was full of advice regarding the products even down to sharing a recipe with me. So refreshing in the current situation to even have someone pass the time of day with me. I will definitely return to this store.

This refers to the cafe, not the store. Went for breakfast yesterday. Poor experience..... on arrival - dirty trays. Followed by dirty tables. Every single table had coffee rings on. Every one. Like a truck stop roadside cafe. This is a waitrose?? Food was cold. Toast was rock solid (even a steak knife wouldn't get through it). No atmosphere. No background music. Over priced, small portions. Been here a few times and it's always poor. Staff are friendly and its not their fault. I blame lack of management.

Always a lovely experience. Except that there is a bloke in a blue VW golf who parks in the parent and child bays all the time, without any kids and he's never pulled up on it. Grinds me everytime I see him.

Lovely branch of Waitrose. Lots of nice things to eat. There is also a John Lewis there too. Quite expensive but that is what you pay for nice stuff.

We took advantage of our visit and had a lunchtime snack in the restaurant before shopping. Both the service and the food were good and we enjoyed our respite from the chill of the winter weather. Shopping was a pleasant experience and to be recommended.

Waitrose quality is ever present. Yes, it costs more for the weekly shop.....but the weekly enjoyment is worth it. Great food, great service, great staff......and one of the few places you can buy Snowdonia cheese????. Keep it up guy's.....I'm a fan.....and always will be.

Couldn't get into the Waitrose Cafe today as they "shut" half an hour earlier than advertised. They had dragged a sign across the stairs used for access and refused to serve me.

Usually a good shopping experience, providing wide choice of good quality products. My only little niggle is that you have to make a purchase before you can enjoy the complimentary hot drink: when it's cold I want to drink it S I go round the store and don't want to buy something small before doing my shopping.

Nice stuff, but too many disabled spaces so can't park near, waited ages to buy a 50p newspaper (auto machine only takes cards) long wait to buy a coffee... And only 2 toilets for everyone to use! Try Sainsburys, it's better than this place..

Dreadful service, it took me 18 minutes to get though the checkout, I only had 1 person in front of me and I had a dozen items or so. The cashier was a grumpy teenager who didn't want to be there and didn't speak a word to me (I didn't count the grunt). The only thing that saved them from a 1 star review was the excellent range of craft beers! Avoid this store unless you've a lot of time on your hands and like awful customer service.

Excellent as always, fantastic range of products, no more expensive than the other big stores, usually able to find bargains and nice unusual products which I don't mind paying the extra for, looking forward to try the Fevertree Cucumber Tonic later today.

Sandwich. Went to Waitrose for a sandwich. Not much selection. Picked one up. Looked at the tills. All very busy. Self service card only. Not putting £2.50 on card. Went to tills barsket only. Two ladies servicing. 4 people in queue. So slow. One lady behind till was struggling to read anything. Looks like she forgot her glasses. Waited and waited so slow, so gave up and walked out. Plenty of other places to buy a sandwich.

The best scones we have eaten. The staff are friendly despite encountering difficult customers. Dan especially had ton deal with a difficult lady customer on Thursday 7th June. I think she might have got out of the wrong side of the bed as nothing he said or offered to do pleased her????

Love this shop / supermarket.
Staff are lovely & friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Nice atmosphere & clean well maintained site. Friday's are very busy but you get 20% off all fresh fish counter.

A very good supermarket with a range of products on offer, with their loyalty card scheme you can also get a free coffee with any purchase in store. Staff tend to be helpful and will assist with finding items or at the checkouts. Would recommend this store.

Lovely staff who are helpful and friendly. A good range of products in store, many of which are hard to find elsewhere. Good range of vegan and free from food as well! Parking is generally very easy, with a good amount of disabled and parent & child spaces near the store front. The cafe is pretty good and well situated at the front of the store.

A combined Waitrose and John Lewis situated on the Futura retail park in Ipswich.
Parking can often be difficult given the popularity of the store and the retail park it is on. The car park does have chargers for electric cars.
The stores are well designed and the staff are friendly.
Can we more expensive for branded items compared to the other big chains, but the quality of its own brand is very good.

Disappointed Christmas desserts are meant to be half price but haven't had any mocha cheesecakes in at all or any raspberry or blueberry pancotte. It seems like just a publicity stunt not value for customers or putting them first.Will go elsewhere for desserts.

I shop here quite often because there's a good variety of organic vegetables and they do half shin bones which my dog loves!
The only disappointment is the cafe upstairs. I've had too many bad experiences to continue using it. The service is unfriendly. The staff don't seem to know what they are doing. You can't even get such a thing as a flat white coffee (2 shots with a little hot milk!) and its unbearably slow. The last time and my final time, it took 3 staff to serve one woman whilst about 20 of us were waiting to be served. In my opinion the cafe spoils the experience of a visit to Waitress and John Lewis.

The staff are lovely however when you are on your lunch break and have only a limited amount of time, you end up getting quite frustrated as I have waited 45mins for my food to arrive and now I've wasted money on my lunch as I can't rush down a hot soup. The layout needs to be sorted out and there needs to be more tills/people serving

Visited John Lewis so popped in to Waitrose Café for a drink and snack today Sunday 17th September at 14:00. Only one food bar open (other looked as if it was hastily abandoned), long queue, long wait for hot food, very little on offer, tables not cleared. Complete shambles.

Lovely shop had a good look around plenty of merchandise to choose from, very clean and tidy looking for carpet rugs good selection, visited the coffee shop very welcoming cake scone very fresh coffee was very good flavour, certainly pay further visits.

Not enough staff in the cafe/restaurant. The staff member was working at great speed and efficiency. But the queue was constantly growing. Even when the staff in the kitchen were asked to help him they had to decline as they were not trained up
Other customers told me it was often like today's wait.I too have experienced this unacceptable level of staffing.I have in the past spoken to a manager several months ago.Nothing has changed. Stock is often low no matter what time of day and the staff are under so much unnecessary pressure
Waitrose can do better for staff and customers.But when ???

Distinct lack of staff on check outs...also the cafe was poorly stocked and staff seemed to mill around ignoring tables that needed clearing and cleaning..mind you they did look absolutely shattered. Had better visits to the store.

Normally it would be an automatic 5 star as i have Waitrose in my blood but upon buying 2 sweet potatoes today at Ipswich branch one of them was partly rotten inside. I made do with what I could retrieve from it, it was not worth going back to the store but as u texted me I thought this was a good time to moan. As I say I rarely have a problem with Waitrose.

Waitrose itself is expensive. But with expensive comes quality and customer service unmatchable in cheaper alternatives. But for me, the selling factor that makes waitrose more desirable is the café, full of delicious cakes and a quality meal, both the icing and cherry on top of all this being the free coffee you get with said meal.
If you're after an all-round good shopping experience and quality of product, waitrose is the most reliable chain for that.

The service is never what is advertised. People who want free coffee take priority over people needing to be served at the customer service desk. Man in front of me said he needed cash back, it didn't look like she had much so she got it out of her colleagues till. To help I prewarned her I'd need some too. The man you 40 cash back. I wanted their limit is 50.the ladies switched tills it was time for me to be served,iasked for cash back,she said I could have 20. I looked at her and said right? But, that man just took 40? She paused and went, OK well, you can have 40 then! As if I just asked to have her right hand!!! Same poor service every week. In contrast moved office this week, nearer to m&s first time going in there the lady on the till was amazing and I felt like they were rolling out the red carpet for me! And it was 5 minutes to closing time!

Has been overtaken by M&S on most of it's ready meals and never has as many offers as it's rivals. Free coffee for card holder's now gone which is a shame. Still less hustle and bustle than Tesco or Sainsburys which is why I tend to go. Good organic range.

I went there for the first time today and found the cafè staff to be pretty rude and unfriendly. Given that they work in a service environment at least a smile wouldnt go amiss. The food was very nice though and worth the cost. Downstairs has a very good selection with plenty to choose from

Poor stock levels of certain items, especially when there are offers. These are not items that are fresh and need to be sold the same day but long shelf life items. It seems they're unable to anticipate extra sales for items on offer. I get more or less the same items every week and I still have to complete my weekly shop elsewhere to get items they've run out of. Staff are simply unable to do anything about it, even though they know this. I don't bother telling them any more, I just go elsewhere!

Go to the toilet before you come.
I needed to go, let's just say you might want to bring a roll of your own paper instead of using their coarse newspaper-like rubbish. About as useful as greaseproof paper with the pain of sandpaper.
Aside from that, great store.

We had a hot meal in the canteen today. Very disappointing. Tables where not cleared from when we got there. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Then it only came as I had asked how much longer we would have to wait. Very poorly run staff where not doing very much. Customers where having to put dirty dishes on to other tables so they could sit at a table. Differently never going back there. No organisation what so ever. A complete descrace.
