We were promised good service with Marks and Mann, but after 2 weeks we had had no updates or contact. We phoned and left a message at 9.30am and they never responded. We spoke to them at 16.30 and they said they were too busy to speak to us or return our call in 7 hours. All we wanted was a 5 minute call. Very poor show

Right from the start I've had amazing service from Marks & Mann and their in-house conveyancing team. From Jacob measuring up and putting my house on the market to the telephone support from Mark, Louise, Ollie, Brogan and Freya. They sold my house within 24 hours and liased with the solicitors on my behalf. They are professional, polite, caring and friendly. I would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend the whole team!

I am currently on the market with this agency but I really do not know what is going on. Yes it's the six weeks holiday, yes interest rates are not great but when the Agent came round he seemed to think that this would not be an issue and he was so confident he did not tie me into a 12 week contract. I thought wow this guy might actually sell my property and promptly signed. The photos were taken which were impressive .
So now on the market but after 4 days I had to call the Estate Agents to ask why my property was not on all property websites? No answer really.
Next I had to chase a For Sale sign to be put erected then nothing from the Estate Agent until I called yet again.
Now 3 weeks still nothing no viewings. Again I called the Estate Agents for answers only to find out that the Agent I was dealing with was on holiday and would give me a call when he arrived back. Now bear in mind I was told I would be given weekly updates as to the progress of marketing my property which I am still not receiving. When my Agent returned he called me and the news was not great so I dropped the price by 2%. With interest rates now looking to go downwards I thought something might happen especially as properties I was interested in were now selling . Week 5 still not much communication from the Estate Agent so my wife and I decided that after 5 months of trying to sell we were going to call it day. I sent an email to say we would like you to withdraw the property from the market
on 30/09/2024. The answer I received was to the effect of thanks for letting us know. I was hoping they would naybe discuss my request. Today I sent an email to the Estate Agents just to be reassured that they will try to sell my property up to 30/09/2024. But no answer. I feel what I was sold and what they would do to sell my property have not materialised. I only write this through frustration and lack of communication and I get the impression customer service isn't their top priority.

I've dealt with Marks and Mann twice in the past four years and I cannot praise them enough,
recently completing on the sale of my late mother's property.
Jake was my first point of contact, he is professional, polite and caring.
Jake kindly arranged to market the property at a reasonable fee and organised an open house day taking care of all viewings by appointment only.
This resulting in three offers being made in just a week.
Emily was the next point of contact as the sales progressor.
Emily is very efficient at keeping you updated throughout, explaining clearly any queries that arise and always answering telephone calls and emails promptly, she is also such a pleasant approachable person to liaise with.
I would also like to mention Mark the General Manager who has been a great support throughout.

I've dealt with Marks and Mann twice in the past three years, first in 2018 when buying a house, and again in 2020/2021 selling a different house. On both occasions I was impressed by the professionalism of the teams. Obviously, when selling a house, I am their customer, and have high expectations. I'm pleased to say that Marks and Mann fully met my expectations, being local to the area, finding several prospective buyers quickly, keeping me fully informed of progress, looking after viewings (essential due to Covid restrictions), helping me negotiate a price, giving me advice when asked for, communicating quickly and clearly, overcoming a problem that arose, and, last but by no means least, charging a competitive fee. I did consider 'other' sorts of Estate Agent but I think I made the right choice and would do so again.

I recently sold my house with Marks & Mann during the lockdown period, and what a great, stress-free experience it was. Everything from start to finish was managed and handled so well from the team, given the circumstances (CV19).
Jake Rudge initially came to my house to provide a valuation, measurements and the usual bits and pieces and had my house on their website and Rightmove that very same day. Jake also sent me a link to check I was happy, all of which was great.
Jake or one of the team members had a spare key of mine, and managed all viewings which was a massive plus for me, it meant no awkward viewings and awkward timings, which really meant I could get on with my day-to-day life and everything was being managed in the background.
Lots of interest, lots of viewings and then after a short period managed to secure a buyer for a price I was very happy with.
Once the sale had progressed, a lady called Emily sent me a nice email and gave me call to mention she would then be taking over from here, she provided regular updates even when times were slow due to lockdown etc. Regardless, progress or not, it was nice to receive those regular calls to show they're still doing what they can to help progress things where possible.
Any time I rang either Emily or Jake, they would be very responsive and resolve any issues/queries I had and feedback to me. This was great, especially given the inconvenience of home working etc, it was really clear that Jake & Emily really wanted their clients to feel in good hands, and of course I did.
All round great experience, would recommend to anybody. Only just moved into the new home, but I know who I'll choose when it goes on the market!

Tried to sell our house with Mark's & Mann, I felt from the start they were very negative about our home, would have thought at this stressful time they would have tried harder. I also called them to see if I could view a house they had on the market, they didn't even get back to me to make an appointment. Very poor and I feel very upset about the whole experience. Also the people who did view our home did nothing but waste our time, will never recommend you.

Cannot thank the team at Mark's and Mann enough for helping us sell our home. Joe Parker was our first port of call and was amazing in getting us in contact with the appropriate team, making us feel a valued customer and booking in our valuation with the branch manager (Paul). The team worked hard to sell our home and even when our first buyers pulled out two days after Christmas they worked tirelessly to find us a new buyer as quickly as possible. The team were always available via email or the phone and chased up everything as quickly as possibly along the way. Today we exchanged ready for completion next week and the contact from the progression team and a personal congratulation from Mark and Joe was the icing on the cake. Thank you very much everyone who worked hard for us and didn't once get frustrated with my many emails and constant pushing. Highly recommended xxx

Very disappointed from start to finish.
Started with an unrealistic valuation - when questioned assured me there'd be no problem.
Then given the sales pitch of '0.85 commission, tell you what, I won't rob you, I'll knock £60 off'. I mistakenly signed at that point not knowing that I had just signed for a fixed price rather than 0.85% of the selling price - true, it was on the paper but bot explained that I was changing the terms under which I engaged the company
Feedback during the viewing process was almost non-existent, even when Marks & Mann were chased asking what had been said - some 'phone calls never returned.
The completion team did seem to do their job adequately although always managed to give updates well after the solicitor.
Just thankful I was only selling as I wouldn't want to involve them in a complicated process.
Would I recommend them - No!

Really not happy with the sale of my house.
The advert was incorrect and as a result we had no viewings for the first 2 weeks. The after sale was no better. We had to constantly chase for any kind of update, sometimes weeks without a word from them. Of the updates we did get, information was often inaccurate. At one point, where we had news of a potential chain collapse Marks and Mann failed to let us know for a full 2 weeks that there was an issue. In the final stages of the completion most of the leg work was done by us as we knew Marks and Mann wasn't giving the situation any kind of priority. Ironically, at one point another agent representing a different party in our chain gave us more information than Marks and Mann did.
We finally complained when the invoice came through and the reply was quite simply "pay up or we'll charge you extra and legal action".
Really would suggest using a different agent. Yes Marks and Mann appear cheaper in Ipswich, however as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Fantastic! I have found my experience with Marks and Mann of an exceptional high standard from all angles. I was made aware and kept informed by the informed, knowledgeable sympathetic staff in all departments following completion. Just been stood up by Marks & Mann whilst trying to view a property - their office could not get hold of the person who should be doing the viewing. We also used them to sell a house recently and they told me I had to have an EPC by law that cost £72. They took my money but did not do a new EPC, they just reissued the same one that was 2 yrs old when we bought the house. EPC's last 10 yrs I did not need a new one. Eventually got my money back. I asked Lindsey why I had not been told a new EPC had not been done, she said "you didn't ask" Also when listing my house I specifically asked that they did not list it online until I checked it. They ignored my request and listed it at the wrong price (they rounded it up - important as it took it to the stamp duty threshold).
