After a very difficult conversation with steve the managing director about a situation that happened whilst living in a property who they manage. The compassion and respect he showed me was more than satisfactory. He has promised to help me moving forward with a good reference and once a property comes available they will contact me. He gave me very good advice which I'm acting on right away because more does need to be done to protect men from being left homeless following fleeing because of domestic abuse. It's very hard for men to get heard but Own Homes Stevenage are behind me and that feels good to have understanding and a compassionate people willing to go the extra mile. The best and Local Estate Agent in Stevenage! We used them twice now, and will be using again again and again! I can not express how wonderful Own Homes Stevenage are.
We first started by dealing with Mike when our current estate agents were not doing anything to sell our property and we had been recommended Own Home from a friend.
From the first time we met with Mike he was just a genuine down to earth guy who didn’t make you feel pushed or pressured at all. He was very honest and gained our Trust right away.
Once we decided to proceed with Own homes we were passed over to Tasha. By far the most helpful, patient and lovely lady and would go out of her way to answer any questions and would give me weekly updates from start to finish. A real asset to the team here!

Own Homes were recommended to us through friends and family who have used them to buy and sell properties previously, they all spoke very highly of Own Homes and we are so glad we used them.
From the start the communication was fantastic and all the team extremely efficient. Nothing was ever to much for them. What really makes them stand out from the rest, is the fact that once our house was sold, they still continued to communicate with everyone in the chain. We never once had to chase them, If we asked or needed anything they ensured it was dealt with immediately.
We would 100% recommend Own Homes.

Lack of professionalism! I took 2 hours off from work to meet an agent (Michelle Lyme) who didn't even bother to show up. Call the agency and all I got is a frustrated woman telling me that maybe the agent forgot to announce that in the meantime the place had become unavailable.

I would just like to take the opportunity to express our gratitude for the past few weeks with Own Homes. We got our property within 2 days and were able to move in when we chose, there was no pressure or hassle from the friendly man who showed us the house or the professional ladies in the office. When there are issues the staff are friendly and understand that things need to be done with urgency, they prioritize what needs to be done and when. They are also not afraid to explain details (via phone, in person or email) for the newer renters or give you set dates (or update you with new dates) and keep their word for deadlines.
Own Homes are an ideal agency who communicate well with their landlords and their staff. This experience has been stress-free and we are over the moon with the property. It is so clean (well-kept and documented) and I feel suits our lifestyle perfectly.

Rented with these guys as the letting agents back in 2014 bar the charges and fees which all lettings agents wrongly charge (albeit these guys are not the worst culprits) i was really happy with the service. They were swift to resolve any problems that occurred and never caused a fuss.
