Very bad. After six months of paying punctually the rent We, my husband and I, don’t have two set of keys. We are tired of dealing with this situation. I am not asking for something beyond property manager responsabilities, but in her words “is out of her control” I wonder what is under her control. I rented the flat through chancellors therefore they should solve this. I can’t contact the landlord to get the set of keys and Chancellors doesn’t help. Which is the role of the estate agents? I am asking for something quite reasonable, a set of keys for the flat I am paying for. Soon I will have to come back to work after my maternity leave, I won’t be able to schdule my shifts with my husband. I will have to wait on the street while my husband get home. The property manager can’t guarantee a set of keys.This situation is unbereable. Property manager feel sorry but don’t solve the issue while say I’ll keep you updated... last time passed 3 months until I wrote again. Chancellors answer saying e mail us we’ll do something. Honestly I’m sick of writing emails is worthless.

In short, if you are a tenant stay away from this money making agency (money making, but draining the tenants last funds). Firstly, I would like to say, in case Ellis and Co tries to discredit my review by stating that they have cross-referenced their records and couldn’t match my name. I prefer to keep my full name private rather than blurting it out left and right on online platforms. Secondly, I would like to make all tenants (or potential ones) aware that most positive reviews on here have one thing in common and that is: They are composed by landlords. So without going into much detail, if you are a tenant I would stay away from this agency (at least the Golders Green branch that is). I should have been more suspicious from the start, when I was shown the property and promised a two year contract. Made my holding deposit and referencing payments and then being told that a break clause will be put into place, stating that the landlord can raise the rent by £150 after one year’s tenancy. The exact figure was then taken out of the clause, but the breaking clause and potential raise remained in the contract. Unfortunately, at this stage I couldn’t withdraw myself from the contract without losing a considerable sum of money. Throughout the tenancy neither the landlord nor the agency have been particularly considerate. E.g. refusing to install a security light at the entrance and insuring our safety (considering that there were several break-ins in the area). When my circumstances have changed and I was forced to move out, the agency was neither understanding nor considerate nor helpful. Upon check-out, I have left the flat in a spotless and perfect condition and it appears that they couldn’t find any issues, so had to make the up. First mentioning an area and pretending it to be my responsibility. After comparing the two check in and check out inventories, they removed that claim, coming up with three other claims and stating overpriced quotes. As an example: Charging for a light bulb replacement 15 pounds (not to mentioned the fact that also in this case the liability and responsibility is debatable). Last but not least, be aware of the 30 day deposit payback clause. By law under the deposit protection scheme, the landlord is required to pay the deposit back within ten days. Ellis and Co puts a clause in their contracts to break this law.

DO NOT USE !!!! The agents at this company are extremely unhelpful 99.999% of the time, I had to call over 25 times to put a deposit down, constantly being ignored and told 'end of the day' 'by 4pm' just to be silenced. Agents always divert questions back to 'a college' who has apparently a wealth of knowledge which the agents don't have ? Even though that is their job ? All in all poor staff, uneducated in their field. The manager is ADAM rude and arogent, who seems to take pleasure and actually laugh at charging large fees. We had a 900£ fee on our deposit which was only communicated to us 6 weeks after we left (after calling every day to check where our money was). Do yourself a favor and just don't even get involved with these guys there are plenty of homes in London with much much MUCH better landlord and estate agents.

Terrible service. My mum arranged a flat viewing in Finchley yesterday and no one arrived. She waited in the rain for over 30 minutes. The agent who was supposed to show her around didn’t bother to call her on her mobile to let her know the viewing had been cancelled. When she phoned the office to find out what had happened she found them very arrogant and unsympathetic with no apology. She was told that the flat was no longer on the market. Would not recommend. cancelled and that the flat had been taken off the market.

This is just a review for afternoon tea. I can't rave enough about this place. I accidentally arrived a day after my reservation. I was so embarrassed and apologetic, but they sat us that day anyway! They were extremely gracious. The service was overall amazing. And so was the food. Each little sandwich was delicious. We wanted to eat more, but were so full by the time we finished the sandwiches. The scones were tasty, and every cake was sooo good. I wish we could had infinite stomachs so we could eat more! I would definitely go back to have tea at Claridge's. Except I'll actually get the reservation day correct next time.

For a place that stands for impeccable service, we receive appaling level of attentiveness from the staff at the afternoon tea/ dinner service. Its the holidays and they must have been busier than usual but overwhelmed is not something I expect given their reputation. Definitely not worth the spend and time.
