Apart from a confusion regarding the marketing date, our experience with Roger Platt has been excellent. They understood the market, advised on value, had a large database of interested buyers and secured a buyer within 2 weeks

2 viewings in 26 weeks, then held me to a 4 week notice period and didn't do anything more. Result was losing the house we were purchasing. Haven't even bothered to come and pick up their sign board.

Beware - they promise the world, then let you down when the contract is signed. They didn't seem to care about selling or giving good customer service. Hardly any viewings and when there were they brought unsuitable people and took them round several properties putting us in direct competition with their other clients. This combined with not even looking at our property before showing people round led to no offers unsurprisingly. Also terrible at giving feedback, you can go for weeks without hearing from them. I thought that they might try harder when I handed in my month's notice, but still not a single viewing. Such a shame as they were No. 1 in Maidenhead but this will slip away if they're not careful.

Shambolic! Had a valuation, the representative left the company 2 days later and communication ceased, details not passed on to a colleague. Arranged to have another valuation several weeks later. Took a day off work for a 9.30 appointment, called 40 minutes before to say could not make it but would call back later to rearrange! Not reassuring for a seller to be treated this way prior to handling any sale!! On a separate note as a buyer I viewed a property marketed by Roger Platt. Was asked upon viewing its suitability and wether an offer was possible. I suggested with works required a figure some £50,000 less than asking would gain my interest. After 2 weeks (and no follow up) the price of the property was reduced (by £50,000) by the agent / vendor. No contact made by them to attempt a sale / deal. Both dealings highlight a failing on both fronts with lack of communication and follow up!! So I presently have a house to sell in a desirable area having been refurbished and extended, and have a suitable (and vacant property) that I would be interested in purchasing (again being marketed by Roger Platt, but cannot bring myself to deal with them based on my recent poor experiences over the last few months!! 2 potential lost sales. Cracking job guys!!

Couldn’t fault the service received. They were always available to answer questions when needed and had to go above and beyond to get the sale through. However, do not use their recommended solicitor - they were the complete opposite

Very keen to sell my house quickly and assured me they could do it within a week. Given they were so sure of a quick sale, I agreed a lower commission than any other agent was willing to offer and raised my asking price above their original suggestion. They were still confident in a quick sale, so I went with them. Great decision! The house sold in two days at full asking price with another offer on the table.

We had a really bad experience with Roger Platt who underwhelmed as soon as the contract was signed.
They seemed to rely solely on the portals to generate interest - only two physical viewings in five months - and their only suggestion/advice was to drop the price (that they had originally made a strong case for) to generate new alerts.
Found them slippery when trying to get answers/feedback and when we requested making minor changes to the listing it was such an imposition we ended up making the changes ourselves (e.g. drawing four new lines on a floor plan).
I was dismayed with the quality of service we received and will continue to regret selecting them. There was no proactivity, no communication and no ideas.
We are now dealing with another smaller, local agent who has exceeded expectations already. The answer isn't always on the High St.
