7th Oct 2024 (15 weeks ago)Chloe showed us the lexington Apartment flat and did not inform us that the lift does not work most of the time. Anyhow, we later got to know that through other sources. We informed them timely (which was 3 weeks back) that we are not going to move in to that flat and since then the company has not paid us back our deposit despite multiple calls and emails. Kerensa informed us last week that all of the amount has been paid back which was not the case. When it comes to taking our week’s deposit they were very prompt and abrupt but when it comes to paying back and informing the clients about the reality of the apartments they are very poor. I am highly disappointed with their team.

24th Oct 2024 (12 weeks ago)We used Carter Jonas in Oxford, England to rent out our property and I was overall very satisfied with the service they provided. I didn´t have to do any chasing as things progressed nicely in a timely manner and they were very good at getting back to me with updates. Their rates were also much better than the other common letting agencies. The only small thing that can be improved is the delay between tenants paying the rent to Carter Jonas and the day it is received by the landlord, if that can be reduced it would further increase the satisfaction. But overall I would recommend Carter Jonas.

14th Nov 2024 (9 weeks ago)I rented a flat in Slough through Chancellors Slough Office, entire experience from start to finish was terrible . After moving in into the flat i realized entire flat is smoke infested since a heavy smoker used to live there previously , after multiple follow ups they arranged for cleaning but cigarette smell never went away, this created health issues for me for months . After I vacated the flat it took me more then 3 months to get my deposit back which was only returned after I filed a complaint with TDS, that too with heavy deduction. Stay away if possible from this agency.

It was also nice work with a team who went the extra mile with a personal touch and really caring to ensure we were settled in well. 4th Jan 2025 (13 days ago)I couldn’t have hoped for a better experience selling my house than the one I had with Paul from Moveli. As someone who himself lives nearby, he deeply understood the local market and how best to communicate the most salable features of the property to potential bodies. I really appreciated his friendly, down-to-earth approach and constant availability, even on the weekends. Being able to rely his advice and expertise from start to finish made the whole process incredibly smooth. In the end, he was able to negotiate an offer that was significantly over the asking price. I would highly recommend him as the premier estate agents in the ‘between the commons’ area.
14th Oct 2024 (14 weeks ago)We are having a nightmare with this company. We have now rented a property with them for a year. We turned up to the viewing, sat there for 10 minutes and no one showed. We called the office to be told they forgot to book it in and it would need to be rebooked, we had driven 4 hours to view this property as we were relocating so told them they had to send someone out. We were then rushed through the viewing. We ended up going ahead with the property and had no problems with this part of the process. However, anything that requires any form of management from Martin&Co is horrendous. They have 2 months to complete a gas safety check but left it to the last week they could legally have it done and then Oliver had a go at US for not being able to take a day off work to let them in. We got told it wasn't possible for them to give us a timed slot so we called British Gas ourselves and got told it was possible they just had to request it, M&Co wouldn't, so we did and I was able to work it around my job (but had to organise everything myself). We then got contacted about our yearly inspection, we called and booked it in for my day off, they never showed up. We called to find out that once again, they didn't book it in. We live in Wokingham but half of our communication comes from the Staines branch. We then got emailed 3 days before rent due to say they were changing the account we needed to pay, we went on to set it up and the bank stated it looked like a scam payment based on the account, we contacted the landlord as it was a Sunday and he said he hadn't authorised any bank change, so it did look like a scam! However, after contacting a very rude woman at M&Co they stated THEY were changing the bank account and we have no right to talk to our own landlord and to pay them immediately and we were lying about the warning from the bank (proof attached). We are on a fully managed contract and have had to organise everything ourselves so far, which is ludicrous. We are fed up with communication from this company and would never rent with them again.

2nd Jan 2025 (15 days ago)We had struggled to sell out shared ownership flat for months with Whitenights. We had sold, but the previous chain fell apart. Whitenights found a series of completely unsuitable buyers, causing us to lose the previous property that we were buying. We changed to Sarah & Georgina at Avocado, who were a breath of fresh air. Found us the right buyer- even when a sale fell through again, and went the extra mile at every single step of the way. Such as doing the vetting for Housing solutions up front, to reduce chance of people dropping out. We remain convinced that the only reason we moved is because of Sarah & Georgina's expertise & dedication
27th Aug 2024 (20 weeks ago)I have never left a negative review in my life but for this I have to.. AVOID RENTING WITH FOXTONS AT ALL COSTS. I have been renting a property in Brixton for the past year and reported mould issues 4 months ago (20th May 2024) and to this day (27/08/2024) nothing has been done to rectify it. We have been back and fourth with property management (even crying down the phone) and they are still not letting us move out until we finish the tenancy length (2 year tenancy agreement). The flat is a basement flat and the bathroom doesn't have a window or an extractor fan which we informed foxtons was illegal to which they breezed over and OF COURSE haven't done anything about. We are now living in mould and seeking legal action to try and get out of our tenancy as Foxtons have told us on 3 occasions we have to find someone to replace it if we want to go. As you can see from the photos nobody should be living in these conditions. Every time we ring, our account manager is 'in a meeting' they take days/weeks to respond to a question. In regards to getting something fixed..we are yet to have one issue in our flat/tenancy fixed. If I could leave 0 stars, I would.

As a first time buyer I would highly recommend buying through this company as I felt reassured and supported. No question I had was ever too much to ask.
