Burnham branch of Roger Platts are like a family run business but with the added comfort of having a large company backing up behind them. The branch handled my sale extremely well and assisted to speed things through as quickly as they could. The sales negotiator was extremely polite and helpful, she went theextra mile to help achieve the sale completion date. She would certainly be the person I would request to manage any sale or purchase. That being said all the staff at Burnham are extremely helpful.

I would NEVER use this estate agent. We were recommended them when Perry worked there however our experience with Neil , Mark and Anthony was merely false promises and mis-sold to us. They managed to agree a sale on our property which involved some photos on right move and an open day , but then left it all up to the solicitors from there with little to no involvement in the terrible experience we had. Not once did Neil call us or speak to us verbally once they had agreed an offer. They simply sat back and let the fee roll in. In the end I did all the work with the solicitor and by being in direct contact with the buyer. They literally sent one liner emails now and then ! I have complained through their process and have received the same attitude that they are there to agree the sale and that's it. They hide behind the contract not being a service level agreement. Shocking service and the whole industry needs to be regulated and controlled. They don't have to worry about customer retention as its not that often someone sells a house ! Their service and attitude to us as clients during a stressful and extraordinary experience is abysmal. So a couple days work for £6000 is easy money ! I will never move again that's for sure and if I did I would never use them or any agent again. Avoid if you can , use Frost or Romans !!

Within about two weeks of our signing up with Platts, Anthony (with some help from Perry) had shown over 30 people around our house and we had received a number of offers, including three which were at or above the asking price. Unfortunately the one we were recommended to accept did not work out - after we had found somewhere to move to and had had our offer accepted there, we were hoping for all-systems-go but our buyer did not manage to make any progress with his purchase for over two months and then dropped out. Amazingly, Platts found us another potential buyer within two days of our losing the first and we exchanged contracts with the new buyer within 12 weeks of accepting their offer, thanks to Perry keeping a close eye on progress thoughout the chain and being very proactive and communicative. Not atually completed just yet but fingers crossed!

Currently searching for our first home. We’ve had great support from Roger Platt, including initial mortgage advice with Domenic and multiple viewing appts with Anthony and Perry.
Overall really friendly team - we have met with Anthony in particular a few times and had lovely experiences. Anthony takes his time going through the house spec, he is very easy to talk to and welcomes (many!) questions, and we felt he communicated Covid-19/social distancing practices clearly, which we greatly appreciated.
Whoever we speak to in the team, we know we are well looked after.

I've viewed properties with many different estate agents but i must say Anthony from Roger Platt was something else. From the initial phone call to meeting at the property he was excellent. He listened for one thing, each property had features we wanted. We very nearly bought a property from him but the perfect house came up with another agent. If you want some one who will help you find that property i suggest you call Anthony at Roger Platt.

We’ve just moved to our forever home and without Roger Platt I know that could never have happened. This was, to quote my solicitor with 32 years experience of conveyancing ‘the most difficult transaction I’ve ever had to deal with’
There were seven in the chain with the added complication of BREXIT followed by COVID which we all know have seriously affected every area of the housing market.
Roger Platt looked after us every step of the way, from the introduction of our buyer who Anthony very efficiently showed around extolling the virtues of our home to our buyer, to liaising vigorously with all involved up and down the chain. I was on the phone to Neil Vadher the manager 24/7 throughout the transaction, who, whether he was either in a meeting or on an appointment always without fail got back to me promptly and never veered from being anything but warm, friendly, understanding, and proactive in his endeavours to ensure that the seven strong chain remained intact and that we lost neither our buyer nor our home. I know that all the staff including Perry who also had so much patience and empathy with me, were rooting for us to achieve our dream.

I used Roger Platt as they were recommended by a family member who had excellent service from them about 4 yrs ago. Unfortunately my experience was not as excellent. During my contract period I had several cancellations, some no shows & absolutely no feed back from the people that did view. These incidents obviously are out of their control & I appreciate that, however I do feel better effort could have been made. The agents were very nice, but I did complain about arriving late to show. One time they arrived after the potential buyer who almost left. Another time they forgot to bring the key. Fortunately I’m just aimlessly wandering around with my 2 small dogs so was able to let them in. I may just have been unfortunate but feel the last 7 months have been wasted.

As a first time buyer, I have spent the last few years searching for the 'right' property- along the way I have encountered terrible experiences with both estate agents and mortgage advisors.
From my very first interaction of viewing the property with Anthony, right through to my mortgage application with Domenic, I felt at ease.
Anthony had incredible knowledge about the property and area, which ultimately resulted in me making an offer, which was accepted.
Domenic, as a mortgage advisor, was very calm and professional. Due to timelines, the mortgage application had to be submitted quickly, but was certainly not rushed. Domenic was meticulous, and quite frankly the best mortgage advisor I have had any interaction with. As a result of his due diligence and impressive experience, the mortgage offer was confirmed just a few days after application with updates from Domenic along the way, providing full transparency of the application process. I cannot recommend enough, and would encourage any first time buyer or existing owner to seek advice from Domenic- he made a typically stressful experience, a very easy one.
I'm delighted to have found excellent estate agents, whom I trust and would be delighted to transact with them again.

So I withdrew my offer and thus much time, effort,and money have been wasted by both myself and the seller!

Disappointed with their lack of judgement whilst showing our home and feel they let us down very badly and disrespected our home. We logged a complaint with their head office and the regional director did get back to us and apologised, he did offer a reduced commission fee as a way of compensation which we thanked him for, however we declined the offer and will be signing with new agents.
Unfortunately we will never know the truth surrounding the incident, nevertheless it's happened and for that reason they have lost our custom.

We recently sold our fully refurbished house, i must say... the gentleman who came to value our property was a smooth talker and promised all sorts, how they will contact everyone on their "So Called" database and people in London are really looking to buy!
When we did choose Roger Platt, we explained to the gentleman everything about the house so potential viewers can see what they are getting. They managed to get two viewings, the gentleman didn't even show the viewers everything my husband went through with him.
When we got our buyers, a few weeks later... they posted us a letter to ask to see us and visit again as they had a few questions, they struggled to reach Roger Platt. We showed them around again, they mentioned how shocked they were with the fact they weren't shown everything... including half of the kitchen as ours was a "U" shape.
Roger Platt failed to make contact to update us throughout the process and my husband had to do a lot of chasing...
We did build a great relationship with our buyers but its crazy how much commission these people get paid for doing absolutely nothing!!! Even the day of exchange, Roger Platt didn't even contact us to arrange keys or time to collect. The buyers again, went to Roger Platt who mentioned to us, it's fine to give the keys... no reason to drop them into us!
To be honest, its all about sales and the aftercare is horrend!!! They are useless... avoid where possible! Me and my husband regretted choosing them!!!
The £5K fee you pay these people is ridiculous!
We are buying again and will sell in the future and these people won't be getting our business nor recommendation! Awful!
