Horrible people working at their Gateshead office. I am not sure if their rudeness is directed to tenants generally, which seems to be case if you look at other feedback (completely negative!), or if they are specifically targeting people from a certain gender, class, nationality or race background. Just horrible. Avoid like the plague

Sarah Mains Low Fell charged 60% of rent admin fee and despite this, they forgot to verify when the previous tenant was moving out so 6 hours before moving in, we were informed the move could not take place and had to be rearranged.

Upon discussion with the landlord, they told us they had ALWAYS knew the previous tenant intended to move out the day after we were getting keys, indicating that Sarah Mains did not even verify details with the landlord.

On move-in day, no final inspection had took place so we are hoovering, cleaning out appliances and performing tasks that other well renowned estate agents (e.g. Belle Vue Estates) ensure the previous tenant has performed before move-out.

Poor communication that has cost us dearly in re-arranging moving vans and hired help. To conclude, especially as we have had no response to our complaint letter, Sarah Mains do not rate well with us for communication and organisation.

Experienced appalling conduct from Sarah Mains, including but not limited to discrimination, misleading information and poor communication. A combination of these factors resulted in us losing the flat we wanted in favour of another applicant, to whom Sarah Mains had given preference. Their fees are also very expensive and I found myself having to do the majority of chasing when it came to the property search.

I recommend anyone who considers using Sarah Mains find an alternative agent in the strongest terms possible. I note from the other negative reviews that their stock response is to simply highlight all their positive reviews. This attitude underpins the company's disregard for customer care and wellbeing as they offered no resolution to our situation or were willing to reconsider the application.

The service we are receiving from Sarah Mains Residential is second to none. We were a few weeks from completion and our buyer lost his buyer! Megan @ Sarah Mains was so pro active and positive and had appointments for viewers through the door in a matter of hours and an offer was accepted within 3 days of being back up! Megan is in touch on a regular basis and the attention we get gives us the confidence and the reassurance we chose the right Estate Agency for the job.
