The information was posted on the Friday, I had two couples viewed on the Saturday, on the Monday one couple offered and on the Tuesday another couple offered the full asking price which I accepted... From my very first enquiry the team(s) at Sarah Mains Whickham and Low Fell branches have been brilliant!
Excellent customer service, but also genuinely supportive and helpful.
Emma doing the initial evaluation and helping me understand the process of selling, giving "top tips" on what I should do to get the spaces looking their best for photos and video. (Which I was also really impressed with, especially the video with drone footage!)
Warren and the team at Whickham liaising with me on getting the property on the market and coordinating viewings with me.
Once an offer was received, Kelly in the Low Fell branch was amazing at hand holding me through the steps moving towards officially confirming the sale.
The Low Fell branch, particularly Jacob and Chris, have been awesome when it comes to looking for somewhere to buy, even when viewing properties through other agents, Jacob has been someone to chat things through with, share opinions and get much needed advice.
It's quite a daunting, stressful journey selling and buying, but I couldn't recommend the Sarah Main's team(s) enough.

Share boundary with Sarah mains managed property. David from the whickham branch repeatedly lied about getting quotes for shared fence, then denied lying. Tenants have said there are lots of issues that are not resolved. Unhelpful unless they are receiving money

It was a long process and very stressful owing to factors out of our control, but Donna was amazing and kept us sane throughout. Absolutely 5 star service, keeping us informed and doing everything she could to keep the move on track.
Our occasional interactions with other members of staff showed that excellent service is clearly the name of the game for the Sarah Mains Estate and Letting Agency as all of those were great, too, but it was Donna who we had the majority of the contact with and who worked extremely hard despite the difficulties faced during our move.

Happily made us homeless four days before our agreed move in date. When contacted, a man named David was relentlessly rude and condescending. When asked if there was anything they could do to help I was greeted with a cold "no" and nothing else. I was told it was "pointless" to even try. If I could give zero stars I would, cruel people who care nothing about tenants. I've spoken to many people since and none of them have anything good to say about Sarah Mains and I can see why. Disappointing.
EDIT - Just to respond to the reply, it was certainly facilitated by Sarah Mains Whickham and even if it wasn't that wouldn't excuse the poor way I was treated. David was very unhelpful and nasty to everyone who spoke to him for help.

Sarah Mains might be great if you are a landlord or selling your property but if you are a renter, avoid Sarah Mains.
Told us that our landlord was lovely and attentive and then for the next five years we proceeded to live in a propertly full of rising damp (which their own property inspector also said it was rising damp but that the landlord actively ignored the issue).
They will never advocate for you if you need anything fixed and they have actively left repairs that needed doing for years by simply saying they don't "own" the property and will allow the landlord to do whatever they want - even when they send unqualified men to the property or the landlord himself turns up unannounced. It was only when we got the council involved that they actually did their jobs. Theyll take deposit off you for not professionally cleaning decades old blinds. And they'll do the rent up during covid and the cost of living crisis just for good measure. Devoid of any morals for renters.

Very poor. They did initially book a viewing but then ignored me multiple times when I tried to book other viewings. As a buyer, there's plenty to look at with other agents, but I'd be incredibly annoyed if I was a seller and found out that a prospective buyer for my property isn't even responded to. No other agent ignored my viewing requests the same way.

Simply excellent. Donna Bell in the completions team is the only reason why my sale completed and whole chain was able to close. She went above and beyond with every buyer, agent and solicitor in the chain and even when everything went sideways, she was at hand and knew exactly what to do to get the sale (at any point in the chain) back on track. I simply can't thank her enough... And whilst I initially baulked at the "completions service" as a justification for the extra 0.1% of the sale service charge... I am so glad that i went with Sarah mains rather than another agent who didn't include a completions team.
Forget other agents in Whickham and the surrounding area... Sarah mains is the only one I would recommend. Unless Donna Bell moves to another agent :-D

Experienced appalling conduct from Sarah Mains, including but not limited to discrimination, misleading information and poor communication. A combination of these factors resulted in us losing the flat we wanted in favour of another applicant, to whom Sarah Mains had given preference. Their fees are also very expensive and I found myself having to do the majority of chasing when it came to the property search.
I recommend anyone who considers using Sarah Mains find an alternative agent in the strongest terms possible. I note from the other negative reviews that their stock response is to simply highlight all their positive reviews. This attitude underpins the company's disregard for customer care and wellbeing as they offered no resolution to our situation or were willing to reconsider the application.

I've only used a few estate agents in my life and they were SO much better than the others I didn't realise this level of service was possible.
They ring you back if you ask some thing in literally a matter of minutes. A rare thing in any business these days, let alone this sector.

For over 10 years I have been using Sarah Mains Whickham Branch for finding tenants for the properties I let. I normally use other estate agent companies at the same time, but this branch tends to be the first to find me a tenant.
A few months ago I had 2 properties come on the market simultaneously which is not an ideal position to be in, especially for that time of the year.
I decided to only use Sarah Mains this time around and they did not disappoint.
I firstly received excellent service from Emma Mitchell who is their “Lettings Valuer” and I have to say she produced exceptionally good photos.
Most of my dealings thereafter were with Josh McKie who is their “Letting Consultant”. I found Josh to be friendly, professional and efficient. He was proactive as well as creative in finding tenants and gave me regular updates in a concise manor.
Once the tenants were found, we moved to a swift conclusion thanks to my dealings with Heidi Hunt and Jessica Saunders.
I should also note that as stressful as moving home can be, I’ve never had a tenant say they had a bad experience with this branch.
I can highly recommend their services to potential Landlords.
I thank all the Staff at the Whickham Branch. It’s the employees that make one company stand out from the competition and the people at the Whickham branch are a credit to the Sarah Mains brand.

Possibly the worst estate agents in the world! I only gave them one star as google wouldn't let me give them no stars. If you value customer service, stay well clear as they have none!
