Literally the worst agency I’ve ever rented from in London. They told us they’d fix the house before we moved in (they had a good few weeks to do that) but obviously they didn’t. I’m not even exaggerating: there were literal mushrooms growing in the house because of how damp it was. There was no hot water and no working plug sockets on the top floor for two weeks, no shower head and spoiled 5 years old milk in the fridge, which had to be replaced because of how stinky and nauseating it was. That house was an absolute disaster and a health hazard. We broke our contract halfway through and moved out because it was just not feasible anymore. And surprise surprise, getting our deposit back from them was HORRIFIC. They obviously didn’t protect our deposit and took a whole month to “check” the house wasn’t damaged. After that long time, they got back to us and said we made a whole in the ceiling - which of course, we didn’t, because who on earth does that and how?! They were just trying to keep our money because they were so salty we broke the contract early - which wouldn’t have happened if they actually provided us with appropriate housing. Well, I threatened them with legal action and got Zoopla involved in the matter and they finally gave us our deposit back in its entirety after being forced to. The only positive review for this company is from one of the agents himself, which I believe is quite telling and pathetic if not slightly hilarious. Please, no matter how desperate you are for housing - especially during these difficult times - do NOT go through this agency. You do not want to put yourself through this, and these people should not even be allowed to be in the business. I just decided to leave a review today because of the current climate, I wouldn’t want this terrible excuse of an agency to take advantage of the high demand to scam and cause stress and anxiety to more innocent people.
