Very dismissive woman on the phone. I sent an email last week asking to view a couple of places today, no reply. I called first thing on Monday morning explaining I live in London and would be in town for lunchtime, the lady was so dismissive, making me chase her for it rather than appreciating my interest and try to serve me as a potential customer. The fact that I will have to travel an hour to the town was irrelevant for her, taking me for granted, stating what she can't do rather than trying to find solutions for what she could do. It's a buyers market now, agencies that behave this way will soon go down. Disgusting treatment.... Read more

Disgusting behaviour. I phoned up to enquire about a property and the line cut off for a second so I asked the lady politely if she could repeat her answer and she snapped at me. I once again maintained my calm and asked some more questions but it soon became very obvious that she had no interest in helping me with as much as a viewing nor did she sound like she cared much about her job. Obviously I was given the "we'll call you back" which will never happen let's be honest.... Read more

Rented from them for a year and a bit. Problems from the beginning with old tenant leaving belongings in shed, promised to remove and never did. Damages that occured in storm to front of house they refused to repair leaving us having to saw down the unsafe part ourselves. No air vents in kitchen for ventilation. Very bad attitude of all agents and staff, rude and not truthful. Would never use again and ask you avoid for your own sanity.... Read more

Worst managing agents ever. Totally ignorant. Property has multiple occupancy with tenants constantky smoking weed, reported this but agent unconcerned. Garden looks like the local tip consistently, had to report to council several times to get this resolved after 12 months. Currently rear fence down over a week exposing 'garden'. Wouldnt give these people elbow room.... Read more

Absolutely disgusting treatment to tenants, house was supposedly "professionally cleaned" but there was grease all over the kitchen, dust and webs in the hallways and rooms, stain in carpets, mould along all windows and especially in the bathrooms. I pointed out all of these issues before agreeing the rental and was promised these would be resolved but surprise surprise they were not. Left instantly and the woman called Leela can only be described as the word used for a female dog.... Read more

It transpires that this estate agent has been letting houses out as multiple bedsits that don’t have the required planning permission. This has created havoc in local areas with residents in these homes parking all over the roads, blocking junctions and creating dangerous environments. Hopefully the local councils will take enforcement action against these unscrupulous estate agents.... Read more

They will fob you off because they just can't be bothered. How they manage to stay in business is very surprising.... Read more

Terrible and really rude customer service. Just to give an example I asked for someone to come and look at the dishwasher because it is not working and it belongs to the landlord. I was told it is not a prioroty and I should just wash the dishes by hand. Also a garage came with the property that we are unable to use. Before we moved in we were told it is gonna get fixed. After we singed the contract they just refuse to deal with it saying we agreed to have a non working garage...... Read more

If I was letting out I would not use squares. We have tried to contact them to view a couple of properties over several days and despite this no response or ring back, only a request to complete a form. So landlords, we'll done if you manage to get any viewings through them as we can't even manage to get to speak to anyone!... Read more

I’ve dealt with some bad lettings agencies in the past, but thankfully I can say that Squares is not one of them. I rented a room in one of Square’s properties for a little over three years and received a quality and professional service for the entirety of my tenancy. The staff are friendly and helpful. For example, they went out of their way to ensure a new key reached me when I had lost mine at work and I couldn’t make it to Squares before it closed for the evening. The cleaners they use provide an excellent service. Minor maintenance issues that arise with things like plumbing, or white goods are sorted as soon as possible and any issues I ever spoke to them about in person or over the phone were reacted to quickly and efficiently in a professional manner. It’s those things that make a big difference went it comes to dealing with lettings agencies. So I’d like to thank them for their excellent service, I’d definitely use them again in the future and fully recommend them for anyone looking to rent a property.... Read more
