Highly recommended. Having dealt with a significant number of different agencies across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire in recent months in search of a suitable rental, I can say with confidence that the team at Strutt & Parker are the best that I have dealt with.
I viewed a number of good properties with Alice and Sam and the final one – a recommendation from Alice that had escaped my searches – was perfect. Alice and Sam are professional; efficient; personable and, with Sam's excellent comms and patience, made the whole experience a lot more bearable.
While currently a tenant, I have been a landlord in the past and it would have been good to have had a team like this working on my behalf during those years.

I live over 200 miles away from the property and so it was important to find someone that I could trust to do a good job for me. I have been both a tenant and a landlord with Strutt and Parker Banbury over a period of 11 years and absolutely cannot rate the experience highly enough. Samantha and Alice have been so supportive, fair and at times absolute life savers! I wouldn’t hesitate to instruct them again to manage one of my properties, or indeed rent a managed property from them.

We needed a rental property as sold our house and our buyers wanted to move in to our house asap-so hence enquired with S&P and had a viewing on one of their properties. No response back till we chased and told we were discounted as we were told we were not in a position to exchange even in our good position when i told them we could move even sooner than their advertised availability date . Totally unflexible and very disappointing poor service from this company.

Private Tenants I implore you not to use Strutt and Parker Estate Agents in Banbury. We have been renting for over 10 years and not experienced anything like them. I wish we had read the reviews – as it clear this is just how they operate – Please look at Yell, Trust Pilot etc before renting with these people.
We found a beautiful property to rent, and although Strutt and Parker were by far the most expensive agent in Banbury (With Sign Up Fees, and Referencing Fees etc. etc.), we felt the property was worth it. We had issues almost as soon as we moved in. The property was not well maintained and on numerous occasions the landlord entered the property without our permission.
When we reported these issues to Strutt and Parker it was clear they did not want to upset the Landlord as they have a portfolio of rental properties that Strut and Parker ‘Manage’ for them, and I imagine they make quite a lot of money with the Landlord. We therefore had issues throughout our time in the property, it however gets worse….
When we came to leave the property, Strutt and Parker actively encouraged the Landlord to hold back as much of the deposit as possible. When we complained and raised a complaint with the TDS (Tenancy Deposit Scheme) Strut and Parker even went as far as filling out the Landlords Claim. Luckily we had some of our deposit returned as the TDS also felt the Landlord and Strutt and Parker were being unreasonable.
I could not stress further – anyone looking at renting with these people DO NOT!! It will cost you financially in the short term and finically in the long run!
All I can say is if you are currently renting with them, report everything and put it in writing, as they are not interested in looking out for the tenants, and will just try and hold back your deposit!!
Now that the TDS dispute has ended we are taking the landlord to court for beach of tenancy, its been a nightmare but we are not prepared to leave it as it is!! Please do read other reviews as I am it is clear this is how they operate.
