This review can change as job is in progress but things need to change. As part of a job for Capstone, True Associates are the surveyors. They have not kept any oversight of the job, the builders have not been on site for weeks, builders did another job without Peter aware. The scaffolding a major expense has been left up for the weeks the builder today came saying they are done with it (except storing paint) but cannot take it down without the surveyor permission. Builders want to do different work to what surveyor has asked for such as painting flat doors both saying different things. I should not have to be meeting the builder and hearing the surveyor has blocked them by being on holiday surely True Associates have a back up person. Joke of a surveyor job so far hopefully this feedback will get improvement and I can update in the future.... Read more

Harry carried out a Specific Defects Report to advise on contradicting recommendations I received from different builders. His team was quick to respond and he arrived on time, giving helpful guidance on what type of repair is needed, what he would recommend doing, and what is "nice to have". True Associates is expensive for sure, but where my dealings with them got unstuck was when I had an unexpected and urgent issue with my party wall needs and the firm blanked me for three weeks, not returning my calls even when begged to. The firm showed a true lack of care and empathy with my situation, despite having billed me almost £5,000. Truly disappointing.... Read more

I contacted Harry True to seek advice regarding an issue with work carried out by a loft company. Harry provided excellent advice and reviewed the loft company contract and video evidence showing the fault. He assisted with writing a letter to the loft company and determined that I should pursue the them to fix the issue or to seek compensation for costs to fix. As the nature and responsibility of the issue was quite clear, Harry did not charge for this advice which was greatly appreciated. I would imagine that there would be many other surveyors who would have been quite keen to unnecessarily write a costly report at this stage. I would definitely use True Associates again and would recommend to others.... Read more

I cannot recommend the services of True Associates more highly. I commissioned two surveys - on the first the advice of the surveyor caused me to pull out of the purchase of a flat that had a lot of problems which would have caused me untold heartache and financial problems if I'd gone ahead. The second survey was on a house that I went ahead and purchased. I attended the survey and was given a really good briefing of the state of the house and assurances that all the relevant building control and planning certificates were in order. It gave me the reassurance to go ahead and exchange contracts very quickly which was important as I was in a contracts race. The speed, efficiency, friendliness and value of this firm of surveyors is the best I've encountered.... Read more

He is incredibly knowledable of the local housing market and always puts his clients' interests first - even ahead of his firm's. He adviced me not to convert my loft even though it would have earnt his firm lots of fees because it wasn't in my best financial interest. A rare find and a local legend!
